I have a S5 active model SM-G870A for ATT. When I am at the set up screen, it ask for a samsung account, I put my samsung account in and it says "processing failed". So I register the phone onto my account and still same problem. I wipe/factory reset the phone and try. Same problem. I use odin, and install the 4.4.2 kitkat firmware on it and It still gives me the same problem. What are my options? Or should I send it in to Samsung on its warranty?

I traded my phone for a galaxy s3 yesterday and when i did the master data reset it wouldnt go pastte att boot screen. I used Samsung Kies to try and download the firmware and it just gave me and error message that says "Firmwareupgrade failed". I assume that person that had the phone prior to me had it rooted and when i did the data reset it wiped everything out. I don't know how to fix it. I have already spent hours on it and any help would be appreciated.

Its because you rooted the phone. You can unroot it with SuperSU .
Another way is flashing the stock firmware via ODIN. Can be downloaded HERE

I. can't perform a factory reset
I thought it was because of my bootloader being locked so I tried using EZ UNLOCK and after it successfully unlocking it,I tried restarting my phone but it couldn't turn ON again...I can't even boot to recovery or anywhere else.. please what do I do from here
ok so i live in mauritius and got myself an s6 edge (sprint) but had to re install firmware on that for it was in a boot loop i re-installed sprint firmware but on switching it on its showing me this message "Attention , Power off this device insert the service provider UICC that came with the device then power on the device "[/U] the thing is that i dont have it and that the phone wont let me skip this which puts me in a situation where am stuck and unable to use the phone. can i bypass it to use the phone ??? would installing another rom help ???
Yup my phone continues to freeze and reset with the same error message on my s6. Have had no luck finding a solution. Going for a replacement phone because this makes it awful to try to use

I took my sim card out, reinstalled. Worked fine. I had the same problem.

It goes like I bought a second hand Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+. Only the phone came, nothing else (no box or anything). The guy who sold me was travelling to some other country. After using it for few days, I realized it had a pin entered in it but not enabled! I tried to soft reset device but again, it asked for pin which I didn't know so I hard reset the device. However, it asked me to login using the same account & password it had before (of that guy's) which I didn't knew. I googled and came to know about this Factory Reset Protection by Google. This is when I decided to flash a rom onto the device (which I have never done in my entire life). I managed to get one according to my phone's model (SM-G928C) and it failed to flash using Odin, so now I am stuck at the "An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC Software."
I downloaded smart switch but it asks for S/N number, which also I don't have since S6 Edge+ doesnt have remoable battery and I don't have the box either. I'm totally freaking out. Is my device gone forever? or can i find my serial number to enter in the recovery box??? PLEASE HELP THANKS GUYS!
Anything related to the samsung account doesn't work (Samsung Pass, Samsung Cloud etc) It only started doing this when I upgraded to Nougat 7.0. If i try clear davelik cache it factory resets the whole phone i don't know what to do Any help would be greatly appreciated
Nevermind I got it working
What i did was:
1)Factory Reset
2)DO NOT enter your google or samsung account information when setting up device
3)Complete the device setup
4)Go to settings-accounts-add account-samsung account
5)Enter your username and password
6)Hopefully you don't get the "Samsung account session expired" error anymore
