Notification Drawer crash
HippoMan said:
I'm noticing a problem with the latest version of this ROM.
If I go to Settings and try to open Notification Drawer, Settings always crashes with this message:
Unfortunately, Settings has stopped.
The rest of the settings and the rest of the software work fine.
I don't have any Xposed modules installed at the moment.
I tried to fix this by ...
(1) ... dirty-flashing the ROM again. Same problem.
(2) ... flashing the ROM again after a wipe of cache and Dalvik. Same problem.
Has anyone seen this problem, and is there a fix?
If at all possible, I don't want to wipe the entire device and start over.
PS: the error seems to be related to a null pointer exception in com.android.settings.SubSettings.

I had exactly the same problem, it was fine then started with the same issue , tried to think of anything I may have installed in the mean time, I traced mine down to the 'profiles' settings , if I used the 'silent' profile I couldn't access the 'notification drawer' , I now just leave mine in 'default' and operate the sounds the old fashioned way. Hope this helps someone

for those having trouble with thesoftware keyboard popping up while using the hardware keyboard, here's a simple temporary solution:
Grab keyboard manager and null keyboard from the app store. set the portrait keyboard to your software of choice, and the landscape keyboard to null. Make sure to set keyboard manager in terminate the software keyboard on orientation switch.
Be cautious when using this software, it caused my OS to bootloop first time I installed it. I think the cause was setting it to start on boot. You don't need to do this, it should work on boot regardless (it may have also. had something to do with buggy xposed modules that I had installed..). Haven't had any problems since, however.

Here's the exact way to manage the tiles
Settings> Liquidsmooth> Notifications> Notification Drawer> Tiles and Layout
That should do it.

Used many ROMs but none are as stable and good as Liquidsmooth. Hope the support for this device continues. Expecting Liquidsmooth v4.0 soon.

2 questions from a newbie
Hello
I'd like to install lollipop on my HTC One S but got 2 questions:
- Once I install this http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-s/development/rom-cyanogenmod-12-lollipop-htc-one-s-t2946468/page76?nocache=1 how does it work for the next updates? Is there some kind of automated updates that I can do from the phone's options? (just would like to avoid having to reset the content of my phone for every update)
- How come the date of the ROM on this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-s/development/rom-cyanogenmod-12-lollipop-htc-one-s-t2946468/page76?nocache=1 mentions 18 Dec whereas there seems to be a version dated 21 Dec here: https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=ville
Is it 2 separate things?
Many thanks for your help
Does anyone have problem with ringtone? When I have an incoming call phone play message sound "Argon".

On first installation of every new ROM (and so for this CM12), you have to make a factory reset. You'll have to re-install or restore all apps after ROM install. An app restore from a CM11 Titanium Backup worked fine for me.
After that, on every new version of this ROM, just install the ROM zip file and wipe dalvik and cache. No app restore needed. For the moment, there is no automatic update as in CM11 via updater.
When official CM12 nightlies start, it should work without a factory reset too, as the official and unofficial ROMs have the same sources.
Greetings
Matthias
P.S. CM12 takes several minutes for first boot after each wipe of dalvik and cache. Be patient.

Good!
how could i back to normal stock camera plz help
i found a bug in black list
when i try to block unkown numbers in blacklist. the settings app crashes
I'm testing 28/12,I've installed it as an update of the cm 11 unofficial. it works very well, i haven't had any bug, only the camera doesn't focus.
Which kernel can i test on this rom?
Flashed 28/12 for hboot 2.16 tonight, no random reboots so far.
Had more reboots on 18/12 en 21/12 than on 03/12 so let's hope this stays this way on 28/12
Most of my reboots happened when using a camera app, standard camera and snapchat for example.
sound is still bugged, first couple of notifications were normal, just got one in now and it was distorted noise again
still missing the multiple volume adjustment option though

1. over here the background colour is different in every thread with other contacts. You could always download and use another messaging app, such as Textra (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.textra)
2. i've also had this problem but it was gone after rebooting. Do you change your notification tone in settings or in a specific app such as the messaging app?

thanks for the rom. it runs pretty smooth, i only noticed one issue so far. when i place or receive a call, the screen does not show its connected or hanging up. I had this happen on the latest nighlies from cyanogenmod. im sure it will get worked out as the time passes. On the other hand I connected my bluetooth a few times to my car with zero issues. thanks again
---------- Post added at 10:02 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:48 PM ----------
after resetting the phone a few times(because the phone was stuck on the calling/hang up screen), i have not noticed the calling functions give me trouble anymore.
For some reason i was unable to flash another keyboard( swype modded blue), tried twice. strange.
Awesome Job!
This is the best CM12 based I've tried. And it has amazing battery life! Way better than I ever had. Only problem I've had is some music skipping over bluetooth, same as others. What is new in the 1/20 build?

Bluetooth probably will still be an issue for a couple weeks, it is being worked diligently by many. Between CM and BS changes best changelog can be found through GIT and link provided in OP. I cannot list all commit changed every build. If there is something big I try to mention, but am running/building multiple roms
I'm having an issue where within the supplied phone app when I dial a number and hit call or touch a contact to call the phone app stalls. It takes several seconds for the app to then switch to the calling mode.
Does anyone know if this is a known issue for the Nameless 5.0.2 ROM or CM12 in general? I'm on the Nameless Rom build LRX22G, the 1/22/2015 build.
Thank you for any help!

disable chameleon
How can I disable the chameleon engine "feature" that constantly changes the status bar color? I have looked through the settings but found no option. I have installed the xposed framework and experimented with three modules that control the status bar color trying to override it, but chameleon overrode all of them.
Thanks
---------- Post added at 01:44 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:05 PM ----------
and how is chameleon engine installed into the system? I've been looking all over for the source, but haven't found it yet.
Is it built into the kernel? Then I could just replace it. Is it a setting or plugin where I can manually hack my OS files?

I was looking for a stable kitkat rom to use as my daily driver and CandyKat has been great. I have been using it as my daily driver for the past week and its performance has been excellent, just one random reboot, call quality could be better but its not too bad.

quicktoggle works
I don't know what made it work but here is what I did
Installed lollipop5.1 gapps(the one for custom roms) from zedomax's highonandroid.com
Boot up and installed some apps
Reboot ,got a notification from WhatsApp
Hold down it and dragged it down
Reconnect to WiFi due to bug
Exited the toggle by swiping the whole thing 3/4 way up,then close the small tab
Quicksettings then worked normally for me:silly:
Brightness changer won't work so just use screen filter from play store
Can't wait for next build

Q & A section for the P6200
Hi!
Can you put a Q&A section on the P6200 5.1? I use your ROM as my daily driver (from your CM12), and I want to share my experiences on the ROM. Can't post on the Discussion Thread as I'm 8 posts short (this is my 2nd post)
Thank you!
OmniROM
Any new updates for this ROM? Apparently using CM 12.1 gave me headaches because of multitasking issues (opening facebook, messenger and spotify is like entering the gates of hell because the tablet will be really slow) so my daily driver is this ROM for my P6200
Cant post on the original thread because of newbie reasons.
- simcard not working because of baseband missing
- brightness solved using screen brightness app (disabling auto)
- Quick settings solved by installing GApps
- Same issues mentioned in the original thread.
I hope that you're heavily working on this ROM because this is the most stable ROM that i've installed on my P6200 as of this moment (and really fast too, even WITHOUT THE ZRAM)
I'm technishaun btw
Wait for nxt update
Wish it fix all problem

I've installed the 4th August build of OmniROM 5.1 on my P6800 and it's working fairly well, seems much smoother than the 4.4.4 Carbon ROM I was running before.
Things that I've noticed not working:
GPS (after digging through some other threads about this I notice that gpsd isn't running, and if I try and launch it from a terminal I get an error about 'only position independent executables (PIE) are supported')
Bluetooth won't enable
Can turn torch on in the quick access area, but it won't turn off again
I just can´t flash it
I´m getting this message ... Need some help

Thanks for deriving from my work without attribution. That's not nice.
For the record, I did this since the early 11.0 days and have a semi-automated build system (source code at julian-klode/bacon-superuser in github). I published my work on the OnePlus forums, you can find the "[Flashable Zip] [CM12] Enable Integrated Superuser" thread there in the CyanogenOS 12 section.
I have also published a build for YNG1TAS17L - available in that thread and jak-linux.org/cm
MIssing notification drawer and status bar in settings!
I rooted my oneplus one with cm12. I installed some basic apps(titanium backup, xposed, juicedefender, romtoolbox etc) which require root access, but later I find out that notification drawer and status bar options are missing in my settings menu. I am not sure why is it exactly gone? Does anybody know solution for this?
Manage Built in CM12s ROOT

When i read this possibilite a built in root manager i was very happy about it.
But how can i manage the memorized ROOT premissions? Becuse i want to delete root privilages from some app's and i can't find the list of ROOT aps.
Thank you

Ah, I'm really sorry about that. I didn't know that it contains your work. I got it from someone who uploaded it in forum post pretty long ago and assumed it is just a generic zip. Since I couldn't find the post again, I ended up updating it as a base zip myself for personal use. When CM12S came out, I decided to upload it.
I'll edit the main thread to include attribution to your work. Again, sorry about that.

You go to settings, privacy. In the privacy page, open the three-dot menu and select advanced. Swipe all the way to the rightmost tab, you'll see the list of root.

Thank you for the tip, that's what I was looking for. Thanks again
I have flashed it too and it works just fine, only when I go to see the version of CMOS, it says I have the same version as before.
