Im trying to run the PwnMyMoto but it first asked to install an update to this built in app in which i click install and then a prompt comes up saying do not install this app and i click the box that says i understand and still want to install it and then select install anyways and then i get an error stating X App not installed
please help me
App not installed.
Every time I try to download it, it says app not installed. Why does it say so?
Rooting my Droid Ultra
So, in an attempt to root my phone following this guide, I have come to an impass. I download the apk, however when I attempt to install it, it says that the App could not be installed. I have enabled my phone to download and install apps from unkown sources via the security settings, and once completed, attempted to download the apk, again. However, I get to the point where is states that it "contains code that attempts to bypass Androaid's security protections" and then I attempt to install anyway where it then tells me that the App was not installed. I have attempted this multiple times with the same result. Is there something I am doing wrong? Am I using the wrong apk? Please help me come to a solution for this problem.
Thank you.

Is the root temporary or permanent? Is it lost on reboot?
I tried to root my Droid Maxx on 6-7.2 with kingroot and it failed so I rooted with the method by @CrashXXL found here:

In CWM it's under choose zip from sdcard...then there is toggle signature verification...default should be off, but you can click it and it will tell you if it's on or off

Does anyones System info show version 4.1.1? I updated and it was stopped by CWR, so I dont know if I lost root or even got the update. My version still shows plain 4.1.
How can I verify if I received 4.1.1 definitely?
How do I check if I'm rooted?

The first update will "fail" since you have CWM installed. So go to choose zip from sdcard, make sure signature verification is off, apply the file. Once you boot up your system apps will update.
Not sure why the screens didn't post, but here they are again.
If you installed voodoo you'll keep root, if not use Paul's root method with insecure boot.img to regain root.

The upgrade gets rejected if you have a modified build.prop or a custom kernel. Have to restore to stock. Kernel is the same though apparently...

Kingo Android Root is a well-designed, aesthetically pleasing application for Windows based computers that forgoes the device specific route, and offers rooting for a lot of Android devices from a variety of manufacturers. Supported phones include the likes of Google Nexus lineup, several HTC devices including HTC One, One X, One V, Droid Eris, Motorola Defy, a number of Samsung phones, popular LG devices and some smartphones from Sony. It offers a true one-click root experience, where you have to just download the application, install it, connect your device and click Root.
There are a few things that you need to be mindful of. When connecting your device, you need to have USB Debugging enabled in Android settings. There’s no requirement for pre-installed device drivers, as the software will take care of that for you. In fact, it will give you the Root option only after the drivers have been properly configured. Past that, all you have to do is hit the Root button, and let the application work its magic.
The app pushes SuperSU binaries which are slightly outdated, but get instantly updated to the new version thanks to Google Play. However, it won’t install a custom recovery, so that part you’ll have to take care of manually. Kingo Android Root supports Android versions up to 4.3.
Homepage: http://www.kingoapp.com/index.htm http://www.kingoapp.com/android-root.htm
How to Use the Kingo Android Root One-Click Tool
Step 1. Download the Kingo Android Root windows application and install it on your Windows desktop.
Step 2. Once the installation is finished, run the application and connect the device to the computer with USB cable to start the process. Now the application will install the latest drivers on your PC.
Step 3. This will take some time to install the drivers. Once the drivers are installed on your PC, you will see a new screen on your desktop with your device name and "ROOT" button. See the screenshot below:
Step 4. Hit the ROOT Button from the app screen to begin the root process on your device.
Step 5. Be patient. It will take some time to finish the process. Once the operation is completed, you will see the “Root Succeeded” message on your screen.
Your device should now be rooted. With the help of this application you can unroot your device as well. All you have to do is select the Unroot button and follow the onscreen instructions. For more help, check the application FAQ section Mod Edit here too..
**None of this is my material. This is the work of the Kingo team.**
A good and needed write up. Thanks beerdroid!

It's unclear what was causing the slowness, but after a while it finally all went through and my phone is now rooted. Thanks!
I did have to restart the App several times while it was downloading the update. That also seemed to be going very slowly. My download speeds wouldn't go above 100kb/s (consistently) and after a while the download will stop at a certain percentage. I would then have to restart the app, and then it would continue from the percentage but then stop at another percentage.
I have 25+ MBps connection, so I don't think it was my internet. It could have been the laptop though for slowness on both ends, downloading and communicating with the phone. I would have to look into it further though.
Anyways, thanks for responding to me!
Did you use any other devices via USB port? I know when I did mine I had to delete my USB drivers that way it would go faster and not unmount my gs4 all the time.

Hey XDA,
I would really love to flash lolipop custom rom on my phone but it seems that root or downgrading is impossible atm.. The only viable option i see atm is if i do a factory reset but even then im still not sure if it will downgrade...
Any hope here XDA?
Factory reset won't downgrade. If your boot loader is locked, you can't downgrade.

Your adb can't get a the demon running, which means you either didn't install the adb the proper way or it got somehow altered in a bad way.
Either way I'd suggest to reinstall adb using one of the tutorials available on XDA (just search google for "adb XDA" or similar).

I don't know what is adb, or I don't remember that install it.
Anyway
Where can I find adb for Z3 dual?!!!
Ok
I went to fashtools , at there , I install adb for z3 , and every thing going ok but
It install SuperSu
But
I want SuperUser !!!
What should I do now ?
SuperSU is an advanced tool to manage SuperUser permission. In my opinion way superior to the standard tool provided by CM.
It should prompt you to install superuser on first start to achieve su rights. There is no disadvantage in using SuperSU over SuperUser.

Please do not keep creating new threads for the same or similar issue.
You should not keep linking back to previous questions you have asked to bump them up.
You can continue to use this thread to ask your questions to get your phone rooted with SuperSU or Superuser installed.
Please read the XDA rules especially

This must be a new KingRoot version since it was no able to root till 2 weeks ago, now I can't try
[OT]Too late, I shipped it back, no regrets, price was almost €270 and camera quality was poor as his twin MTK brother, the few days I try It and try to root I found it pretty snappy and very similar to 4G, just a little smaller but thicker.Actually I have no regret, due to samsung/phone operator offer I find a way to pay an S6 edge 150 Euros X-D the only thing I miss is the ability to buy a second battery![/OT]

I m very sorry for my bad English but i m try for my best.
Thank you
Hello,
So, does anyone know if this really works with a G4C H525N V10e-EUR-XX?
yes it work
Worked for me on V10C on a H525N 5.0.2 Lollipop. You need to remove the purify app and the kinguser app afterwards so
Run this in your pc's command prompt (with your phone plugged in and w/ usb debugging on of course):
Code:
adb shell
su
pm uninstall com.kingroot.kinguser
pm uninstall com.kingstudio.purify
After the root there were installed 3 apps from KingRoot(KingRoot KingUser and a Chinese app) My question is which of theese i can uninstall safely
Since this post also is about Android Development, i'd like to ask if there are any Custom ROMs/Kernels for the G4c.
