[Q] Can i put Call Recording on Mahdi rom? - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I mean the built-in option in the call screen while having a call.
I tried some mods with the exposed but nothing happend.
If it can't be done, can you reccomend a stable rom which has this feature?
Thanks,

I don't want to use 3rd party apk such automatic call recording Etc
Thanks

For the built-in screen you need rom support(for built in recorder) and kernel support(for recording at all).
I'm almost certain phones that don't have it enabled in kernel by default don't have it in rom either.
Yes, you can put recording on oneplus asop roms, for cm11 its certain. You need build.prop hack and recording program.

thanks. can you direct me to this hack?
thanks

Its here.

He says button appears in call screen, but it didn't for me.
So I used this app(its the best call rec app).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1441643
It will work fine with caf root methood, select bacon(!) not oneplus from list or you will have distortion.
This is for cm11 nighly, and probably other cm based roms. Cm11s doesn't have it yet, and might never get it.

Hello, psquare.
Thanks. ROM is already great.
Very smooth. Only little flicker on touch compared to 4.01. Anything tweekd here?
Did little testing. CIFS works! (great). FlashPlayer and Youtube don't seem to be working. Other GAPPS are fine.
Is it too much of a pain to get bluetooth and 3G dongle to work? Can i help?

Thanks for testing!
For flash player..I made a little mistake
I add version 10.2 but only >= 11.1 work with ICS!
Touch is real problem for this tablet, trembles especially when charging.
Maybe ADWLauncherEX work better but is paid software....
However, would be needed the kernel sources for solve many problems
bluetooth, 3g, ext4, gamepad will work in next releases
Yes, touch is terrible. It makes clicking on anything virtually impossible. Is there nothing that can be done without kernel source? It's much worse than any of the Gingerbread ROMs.

Yes is quite bad.
At first it seemed like a small issue, but the continued use makes it rather terrible.
I think that installing ADWLauncherEX makes it better in homescreen and app drawer but does not solve the touch problem inside the apps.
Another issue is that the UI isn't smooth, redraw look like about 10fps?
Also, how does one sign into a Google account? Is that option available when gapps are installed? I didn't get that far as the touch issue is a show-stopper for me and have gone back to the Cheeyee ROM, patch 8, which seems to be the smoothest of all the ROMs (so far).

That option is available after you install the gapps.
I also think that cheyee's patch8 ROM is the most smooth and has the most options (flash, bluetooth, 3g, wiimote, etc.)
Even thought, I am currently using the latest ICS. I personaly think that i can get more from the tablet with this rom. Perhaps its just the ics launcher...
I'm sure it won't be long before everyone is using ICS, once these issues are sorted. I'm looking forward to using the USB host with Torque (OBD2 reader).
Doesn´t reboot
My tablet doesn´t reboot (get´s a blank screenk) after I install gapps. Any ideas?

I tested several times
and it works...
Download gapps 20120215 again and try
Touch
Does the latest version have Cheeyee's touch patch 8a included?
Any explanation as to why the UI is not so smooth?
Thanks.
BTW, have tested CIFS, seems to work fine.
There isn't Cheeyee's patch
merci pour tout le travaille que tu fais.
thank you for all the work you do.
Why swapper doesn´t work on novo8?
preparing internal storage
another question: how do I stop the "preparing internal storage" process? I just can't use the camera because of this issue... thanks!
Hi psquare.
This release really seems more powerfull.
Did small testing:
Jitter is a bit better
Doesn't work:
Settings/Display/Brightness (but works in the settings laucher widget)
Bluetooth
Flash
Youtube (keeps saying "please check network and system date")
Movie studio (runs, but keeps saying "can't import movie clip" same thing with photos)
AC3 audio
Calculator (error in several calculations ex: sin(0) = error )
work:
CIFS
GMAIL, Calendar, Talk, Market
USB Debug
Terminal emulator
Thanks

Hi, psquare.
Had tryied fresh install 3 times with no success.
Audio AC3 doesn't work - several videos tryied.
Here's an example video:
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?9o6169615yeu3dt
Movies with MP3 and AAC audio play fine.
Does it play in internal speakers or HDMI?
I am using amplayer video player. Also tryed with internal player but without success. What player are you using? Any setting needed?
Thanks
Thanks for your great work psquare. For me the rom is actually very stable, I have not had any crashes yet. The only downside is the terrible jitter on the touch screen. This is also present on the 2.3.4 rom, but it seems worse on ICS. For me it is not even possible to change the position of a widget and in the task manager I keep accidentally closing apps instead of opening them (it slides instead of clicking because of the jittering). If this can be fixed the rom is perfect for everyday use Keep up the good work

Screen record, call record?

Is there any chance go get the default ones on our big guy?
Thanks in advance
Not sure there are any native Sony built in options for this (on our XZ at least, I remember native Sony screen recorder on my z3compact.)
However I'm having great success with these 2 apps, hope it helps...
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hecorat.screenrecorder.free
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nll.acr
If your willing to root etc.
Then check out eXistenZ ROM.
I believe niabac has baked both features into the ROM (whether these are indeed native Sony or 3rd party solutions I'm not sure - I'd assume the screen recorder is a port from the native solution from the XZ's predecessors.)

Custom ROM options preserving LG Framework for LG Cam App + Video Recording UHD 64Mbp

Hello,
So after experimenting with a few roms, Lineage 15.1 in particular, and after researching this forum, I have come to realize that there is very minimal options available for those looking to preserve the video recording capability of the original LG app - this is an important must have feature for me, since the features are not replicated anywhere else.
Is there any custom ROM available that has this feature? Or is it just the stock rooted ROMs that have this? How about any modified stock ROM that maintains the camera apps, either on Nougat or Oreo?
Thank you.

This should posted in Q&A and not here
Sent from my LG-H910 using XDA Labs
cstark27's GCam mods are the closest you'll probably get. You get nowhere near the manual control over the camera as you do on stock, but thank LG and their proprietary this-and-that for that one.
His mods are quite good though, and I've used them personally to get some pretty damn nice pictures myself.
We can do it but we need to decompile both frameworks stock LG and Lineage Os and make a framework that can Help us run LG base apps also to not break lineage apps.....It is possible and requires much time something that most of devs of V20 dont have

Hello, I had same problem as you when switched to RR-OS ROM before I found a HedgeCam2 app.
This app can record LOG-profile videos with full manual controls, manual bitrate, framerate, resulotion settings and has nice software stabilization. Also on v20 it switches between wide and normal cameras no problem. In comparison to stock LG camera app my only complain about HedgeCam2 is that sound quality is not that good. But video quality itself is even better due to ton of controls. You can even set noise reduction levels and sharpening.
Hedgecam2 is based on OpenCamera, it's free, open source, no ads. Try it!
Tried it, weak. UHD files at so called 70mbps are actually only recorded at 1080p in resultant file. App removed.

Most important Features available ?

Hi,
Do we have the below features available as MOD / kernel. Else any plans of adding this for OP7 pro?
1- Sound boost for Ear piece, Bluetooth handsfree, Loudspeaker (during calls . This is the most important feature)?
2- Ability to avoid certain apps from appearing in the recents menu?
3- Ability to show recent applications in a list (like in slimkats for ease of use, speed, security as there is no preview of recents)
I would like to have these features added or installed over the OOS ROM (preferred).
Else do we have a phone dialer / phone calling screen of OOS for a cutom rom like HAVOC ? (defnitely not Google phone app as it looks out dated since and still looks the same since ages)
Modules available for these?
Any one knows if the below required features are already avilable somewhere?

I'm pretty sure Viper4Android can do the first thing if you get it working with Magisk I suppose.

Rom with call recorder

I need a custom rom with integrated call recorder (since no one really works on stock rom), can you suggest one without significant bugs?
