Most important Features available ? - OnePlus 7 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi,
Do we have the below features available as MOD / kernel. Else any plans of adding this for OP7 pro?
1- Sound boost for Ear piece, Bluetooth handsfree, Loudspeaker (during calls . This is the most important feature)?
2- Ability to avoid certain apps from appearing in the recents menu?
3- Ability to show recent applications in a list (like in slimkats for ease of use, speed, security as there is no preview of recents)
I would like to have these features added or installed over the OOS ROM (preferred).
Else do we have a phone dialer / phone calling screen of OOS for a cutom rom like HAVOC ? (defnitely not Google phone app as it looks out dated since and still looks the same since ages)

Modules available for these?
Any one knows if the below required features are already avilable somewhere?

I'm pretty sure Viper4Android can do the first thing if you get it working with Magisk I suppose.

Ringtone/Notification volume separator?

A feature of CM I always like was the ability to control ringtone and notification volumes independently. This is not possible with the N5/4.4.
There are some apps our there that claim to give you power over volumes, but I feel like these apps don't achieve my goal if the ability to separate the two isn't a stock function.
Does anyone know of a way to make this work or a framework that would allow for this?
Many thanks.
there is an xposed module (Ringer & Notification Volume Unlink) that does this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2416768
but xposed framework does not support android 4.4 yet, so u have to wait..

best app i've seen so far for this is ultimate sound control (pro and lite versions available): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.steinapps.ultimatesoundcontrol
it does require root, and has some pretty powerful functions. it was also featured in the portal a few weeks ago: http://www.xda-developers.com/andro...und-control-for-your-device-xda-developer-tv/
check it out when you get a chance.
I've been trying out Sound Profile which lets you separate volume but a whole lot more. It's a full sound/toggle profile app and appears to be working very well so far. What's really cool is that you can change sounds per profile, as well as toggles like BT, WiFi, GPS, etc.
It looks like Volume Butler as also suggested is extremely similar. I will give that one a whirl too.
It doesn't let you modify all of the system level type sounds like Ultimate Sound Control (if that's something you desire).
looks like xposed is finally 4.4, trying to figure out how to do this with xposed.
If you use xposed I know Gravitybox has this incorporated.

two thumbs up for Volume Butler
as a former galaxy family user (S2, S3 and S4) the first thing I've missed on LG Nexus5 was a manner to control the volume independently (ringtone, notifications, media). After a quick search on google I got in this thread.
My handset just arrived about three days ago and to be extremely honest I'm wondering if should I root it right now or in the near future. While I did not come to a decision I've decide to give Volume Butler a try.
Just install a free version from Play Store and it works exactly how it promises, it is possible to control ringer, notification, media, alarm, in-call and speakerphone as individual items and you can create profiles based on a schedule to manage this items. I did't play with this app enough (got no time), but it's seems to be a great try for anyone who looks for this functionality.
Thanks for share!

yep, xposd+GB give rooted stock rom wings
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
If you want to run ART (which xposed obviously doesn't support), I know Cataclysm ROM has a toggle to separate the ringer/notification volume settings.
I agree, Cataclysm ROM has that feature to seperate, based on stock with many added features, and still can run ART versus Xposed. Depends on what you want to do with features or if you'd like AOSP.
[NO root required] Profiles Plus app is working fine. It is free and works with lollipop. It is working like a charm for my Xperia Z2 and Nexus 5 to successfully separate the ringer and notification volumes.

hello ,

just a question does the mute button work?
are you using the stock camera app of letv?
Nice work. How is the battery life compared to eui?

The mute button doesn't work and I think it will never, because nobody except of letv knows exactly how they implemented this and even if it would be quite hard to port because there is just no such button designated in pure android.
The rom uses a different camera app than stock, I don't even know from which device or rom it's ported but it supports most of the stuff the stock rom supports(or even more?). The stock camera app is not installable on aosp (yet).

My phone is running for 12h now and it still shows me 18h left. In my first impression I'd say it's better than eui but it's definetly at least as good.
Hey guys,
Unfortunately I found a bug. Something is causing a "PhoneWindowManager.mBroadcastWakeLock" which completely prevents the phone from going into deep sleep .
EDIT:I found the reason. This bug happens if you use the volume rocker(VOL+/VOL-) but ONLY when the screen is turned off. I also have good news, I know which file I have to edit. It will take some time to get used to the java source code because it contains thousands of lines. A temporarily fix would be to only allow to adjust volume when the screen is on.
To avoid that it drains your battery so much, please regularly check WakeLockDetector. If you reboot the phone the wakelock is gone.
Same happens in the AOSP rom posted in the main LeTV thread - yet to install yours

I know, I was wondering about this wakelock before but I could not find the reason or if it is even related to the rom It also happens in the mdsteam rom for Note 2. I know how to fix it now but I don't have time anymore to compile and pack everything together. I think it's ready on Wednesday if everything goes well...
I like AOSP rom very much. It goes ok for me!
Congrats on the great development!
For me, slow-mo video and the "mute" switch were two important things when buying the phone, so I won't install your ROM right now.
I'm a bit confused by your original post - you talk about a stock camera app, but later you say it is not the original one by letv. So is it the original one with support for all the camera features or not? cheers
Any ideas for rooting?
Root is simply! You go into recovery. Then, you flash update-su.zip beta 2.49 over recovery.

Sorry for confusing but I meant stock aosp camera app not eui It does support all features of the eui app afaik, also Slo-Mo. I think i had the same one on my THL 5000...
It has following modes:
Photo
Video
Slow Motion Video
Picture in Picture
Live Photo Mode
Panorama Mode
Multi-Angle View
Gerrit, how's the GPS on this ROM? The same as the spanish AOSP or EUI?
Different is a little! Camera goes well! I flashed this rom two days and i am pleasant with it!
Can anyone comment how is the wifi signal strenght?
Thank you guys for the praise
Version 1.0.3final is now ready. It fixes the wakelock bug and I've tested it over one day now and it seems to run pretty well, no more wakelocks at all, also no crashes. I decided to only make an ultralight Edition from now on, so everybody can combine the addons as he likes.
I will provide gps and wifi test shortly.

Great job!
Some notes:
/recovery-from-boot.p.bak - do we need it?
LED is white when charging, red is better
I wonder if IrDa port and remote control app work
tap on "Menu" shows APP_SWITCH instead MENU (/system/usr/keylayout/Generic.kl)
adb devices doesn't list the device even with USB debugging enabled. Actually, the same was in EUI, but I hoped it will work
can you extend the reboot menu?
PicoTts always is forced close! Phone numer of sms is divided into 2 parts, sent and received.

1. I don't think so, but is has only about 700kb, so I didn't really cared about it so far
2. Actually the LED is changing the color while loading regarding to the battery level
3. No it doesn't I will add this to the main post
4. I don't know what you exactly mean. Pressing the circle button shortly will enter the menu and long will enter recent apps. What I want to add is that a long press will enter the Google App. The generic file you posted is just about adding linux key codes to different names. The actual event which happens when you press a button usually is written down in java code.
5. I know. I also have trouble with adb and the letv. I think we have to blame mediatek.
6. Yes I will.

I fixed the picotts issue already, it will come in the next version
Regarding the sms app I can only repeat what I wrote in the other thread about he dialer app. I don't make these apps, they come from aosp/google, if there is something wrong blame them. The main idea behind my rom is to provide a most lightweight and pure android experience as possible. For example one guy uses nova, the other hola and some use apex. The same goes for sms or dialer. I don't want to load this rom full of unecessary stuff you'll never use, feel free to install what ever you like. I don't have this issue btw. The way how you saved your contacts(e.g. with or without country code) might be the problem. The Messenger is the most recent version from google -> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.messaging&hl=de

[ROMS features ] a list of features in poco f1 ROMS [22_2_2019]

Nice initiative :good:
Will there be a similar comparison for MIUI based custom roms?
Volume panel quick tile that long pressed gets you to sound setrings that have "play media to" when connected to multiple audio outputs.
Latest lineage has it.
Oos has "play media to" in volume rocker instead. (Wich is even better)
Advances rotation control: Lineage has it, Pixel Experience does not, so you get 180° portrait with the notch down even if you don't want it, like it's on Android 1.0. Sorry about the rant.
Viper4android v2.7.0.0 confirmed working on lineage and pixel experience with notification helper remover magisk module installed first.
If you are interested to have another guy editing and formatting that, I can help you since I flashed almost all of them.

Questions About Using Lineage OS 18.1 on Pixel 3

Greetings,
So I've successfully installed Lineage OS 18.1 Nightly and it runs really well. I've got the NikGapps Core and Magisk installed. Was able to add the apps I like from Google Play store and used the free or open source alternatives I could find for others.
I have a few questions for anyone using Lineage since I'm not sure if these are bugs or design choices or parts of Android 11.
Any clarification would be great. Basically, there's a few things I noticed that are different/don't seem to operate normally.
I can upload screenshots if necessary but let me give you the cliff notes of what I'm experiencing:
-No labels on the home screen icons, even though setting says "Show labels on desktop". Is this me interpreting something incorrectly?
-All icons on the home screen and app drawer appear to have a white background... should be transparent?
-The default sms messaging app always shows quick replay phrases despite turning off the setting "Always suggest quick actions/replies" in the notifications menu
-There is no way to turn off suggested apps... when you use an app it places it in a new section at the top of the app drawer. Looks like the menu setting is missing (there in vanilla A11).
-There is no built in volume limited. This was on my stock Galaxy S7 so if it is an OEM thing I understand. Perhaps you have a suggestion?
-Notifications from the default sms messaging app do not pop up over other on screen elements (specifically fullscreen video in Brave). Does this have to do with the "Bubbles" setting under notifications?
-Screen automatically dims/sleeps when watching fullscreen video (again in Brave)... happens inconsistently and going in/out of fullscreen seems to stop it from happening again.
-There is no swype ability on the keyboard. I assume this is a OEM keyboard setting or something.. is there an alternate keyboard you would recommend (open source, free) that won't steal your info/privacy violations?
-Last thing which is more of a question than anything else, since I cannot install a stable twrp, I used the Lineage OS recovery. It doesn't seem to have a backup/restore function. So is there a way for me to, with the setup I currently have, to do a complete and full backup? By this I mean like capture an image of all the partitions as they currently are, as you would with a PC.
Sorry for n00b but the last unlocked rooted custom rom I ran was Cyanogen back on a Motorola Photon. Thank you in advance, any input or clarification is much appreciated as you are a helpful, insightful bunch here.

Question Whatsapp call noifications CN ROM

I am struggling with getting some notifications on Whatsapp, especially calls. I am on the ORIGINAL CHINESE ROM of my Xiaomi 12S Ultra and don't wish to change the firmware.
Does anyone have some advice on how to make it work? Its like the phone goes into sleep mode because I will unlock my phone and see the missed calls notification.
no way, this is CN ROM behavior.
you can try the usual stuffs, lock App in task manager, auto-start to on, battery restrictions to "No Restrictions", etc..
it will still be killed after a while.. and notifications will only come in when you unlock the screen.
Lock App in Task Manager? Instructions please. Have done all the others so far.
