Error 0x80072f78 when using IE

Hi,
When trying to access the Internet from my Universal running Midegt's latest rom I am getting an error: The page you are looking for cannot be found due to unknown error 0x80072f78. This happens when I am connected to my PC using a USB cable. Everything works fine with GPRS. I have tried other roms with the same results. Is there a setting I am missing? I am using active sync 4.5 and not firewall is enabled.

That's a tiny problem with your computer registry actually.
Just run this file attached and you will be able to surf again immediately after

Thanks a bunch - you're a (compared to me anyway) GENIUS. After messing around with the configurations settings and trying to re-download ActiveSync 4.1 which isn't available anywhere, and aimlessly scrounging around microsoft.com you've delivered the perfect solution.

don't get the error but ultimately after the device 'locating' for a minute or so, it gives up - "Location not found"
any ideas --- what other Registry seetings, other than [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows CE Services]
might be involved?

I have had this same issue, and downloaded the "fix" and still can't connect to the internet thru the pc.
Any more suggestions?

Never Mind. I forgot, after changing registry settings I needed to reboot my PC. After reboot, I can now "pass thru".

my girlfriend just switched from a sony ericson wxxx phone to a touch diamond. taking a look at the contacts on her sim-card, we see that the f****** sony ericsson phone messed them up, eg. "John Doe" on the sony becomes "Doe, John/w1" on the diamond.
i'm wondering if there is an app on pc to fast edit those contacts on the phone? it's some kind of time consuming and uncomfortable to "manually" edit them on the phone ( making "John Doe" again out of "Doe, John/w1").
btw: we don't want to use "syncing with outlook "

Moved as not software release.

mm if you dont wana sync with outlook then id say you were pretty screwed.
You could use my mobilser via active sync to do the corrections on ur pc, it will still take you a while, but at least its more comfy to do via a pc keyboard.

i just came up with another idea...maybe i could use a remote desktop software to control the device from pc. with this, i could use mouse and keyboard to edit the phonebook.

yes it is working, and when you had asked our biggest friend google, you had find the answer. You have to change one time your password via youyr PC skype. Then close you pc skype client (sign out and exit .. be sure that skype is completely stopped). Then login again on your PC with the new password. Then login via your mobile phone with the new password. It is working well in this way since two month without any issue....

[Q] Android-x86-4.0-devel + Laptop Dell D430

I am installing the Android-x86-devel-4.0 on a Dell D430 Laptop.
All Hardware working ok. (Audio, Wireless, Bluetooth, Battery ...)
I'm having problems with navigating officer, who gets a black screen.
E. .. I would like a help, not sure if it is possible. I would like to use the VGA output to reflect on another monitor.
When connected the laptop with second monitor attached, the internal monitor shows normally. the external monitor is on a black screen with:
Detecting Android-x86 ... found at / dev/sda1
A N D R O I D [email protected]:/ #
There is the possibility of mirroring the monitors?

And which exact version did you use?

Hello, I hope im in right forum and i hope someone can help me.
My issue: I have an Android TV box app that i have installed on my Galaxy Tablet but the issue is that the app doest respond to "touches" i mean, the app works great but i cannot navigate because the app is created to be used with remote control which came with my TV Box.
Using my web developer knowledge i was trying to understand and find "function" file inside extracted apk to change these setting but unfortunately without succes. Is there anyone who can give some tips or advice how i can manage this issue ?
