I apologize in advance because it seems as if this question has been asked before. I just received my Oneplus One a week ago. As someone brand new to android, I have been using it just as it came. I didn't root it or unlock the bootloader. Today, when changing the wallpaper, I got the error message: "Unfortunately, CM lockscreen has stopped working." I've rebooted the phone countless times to no avail. The message won't go away and the phone is unusable. I've read through this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/help/fix-brickloop-audio-fx-fc-efs-corrupt-t2879061
to try to solve the problem, but it is foreign to me. Is there a way to factory reset the device without having an unlocked bootloader? I tried Android Device Manager, but it didn't work. If there is some kind of beginner's guide that could help me understand how to fix this that would be great.
Again, sorry if this has been asked repeatedly. I'm just stuck, and don't know where to go from here.
Same issue.

I have the same thing happening. Just started today. Their site isn't working and there are no numbers to call. I have no idea what to do. Let me know if you figure it out and I will you.
If at all possible go into settings, lock screen, and disable custom lock screen. This should stop the error you are getting.

Does this mean that when custom lockscreen is disabled, there is no risk to change the wallpaper into a "cropped" picture or random photo ?

There is several posts about this in other topics. But I figured it was important enough to have it's own. The first time I tried the update it got to a 100 then failed. Now tried twice already and nada, doesnt go past preparing and fails. Does anyone know where this file is residing and why the phone doesnt go past preparing?
I believe many more ppl are experiencing this issue.

I hesitated replying to yet another thread on these update issues. It is becoming a pain to read through each one. But yes, I have the same issue and I think after reading the Success Survery thread that my issue is the circle battery mod because all I did was root, add the battery mod, tweak the market access and remove bloatware. Others have had success with the update with all these things except the battery mod from what I have read so far. Trying to figure out how to restore this back to factory battery. I don't want to take the ODIN factory reset option because it looks like nearly all people that do this fail at 50% on the update. It is also not clear if you already received a failed update if it is even possible to try again successfully.
But I am happy that my GPS issue is fixed! I manually installed Quickoffice. Never got the new youtube widget but could care less about that. I just don't like an incomplete update.
I did not install the battery mod. Mine was just rooted, sideloading enabled, crapware gone. No dice though. I do apologize for starting yet another thread but was only wondering if u fail once can u ever get it again.

Same thing here, rooted with ATT apps removed. Went to 100% the first time but failed, now it fails at preparing. Anyone tried "Factory data reset" option and then updating?
I have the same problem, stuck on preparing too every time i retry the update installation. the only thing i did to my phone was root it and remove att crap. I am currently talking to samsung level 3 tech support to solve this problem. They first told me to send the phone in so they can reflash the phone but i am trying my best to get the tools from them to reflash my self.
I hope this can be solved in some other way

So I started today feeling a little creative so I flashed the newest MIUI ROM, there was a data issue that I tried to work out and in the end screwed everything up.
I lost signal but I have data.
I have tried probably 10 ROMs and the same has happened, I am getting a roaming sign, but it shows I have bars (I am connected to a wireless repeater so full service all the time on 3g).
What in the world do I do? I've seriously tried everything. I flashed back to stock through ODIN and nothing still.
PLEASE tell me someone has seen heard this problem... WHAT DO I DO?
Thanks in advance...
Go to settings - about phone - status and tell us if your IMEI is a bunch of zeros or a string of numbers.

It's not I its still the right one, that was something I checked... I considered doing a IMEI restore anyway and maybe that would fix the problem but I still definitely have it there. Thanks

Read the thread and go into Mobile settings and fix the settings. After that you'll be good to go.

How I Fixed It
Hey there. Not sure if your still having this problem, but I ran into the same issue with my new phone after rooting, unlocking bootloader, and flashing MIUI. To fix it, I had to odin to stock (Pre-Jellybean for the Samsung Utility), which I got from here: http://hotfile.com/dl/169363562/8975152/SCH-I535_VZW_I535VRALG1_I535VZWALG1.zip.html%20
Then I ran the Samsung Repair Utility from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1867442&page=18
The Samsung Repair Utility said my ERI was present and my IMEI was accurate per the back of my phone. Desperate, I ran the "Repair ERI" anyway which made no difference until I followed the OP's directions to dial the code to run the factory reset if the tool didn't work. That seemed to do the trick :victory:
Good Luck.
Hello XDA community,
Im pretty new with this, ive been using my Nexus 5 since January, everything is fine until today, I installed a lockscreen app called AcDisplay, i cant seem to activate it, its asking me to allow it under Device Administrators (Settings> Security) but when it try im being asked to enter a pin code, I dont know if I set a pin code or if I did i cant seem to remember. I tried my lockscreen pincode but its not accepting it. Is there a way to reset the pin? I never had issues with this before, I got an Airdroid app and I can activate it before under the same settings but now Android Device Manager is the only app allowed. Please help me. Im running a customer ROM called Paranoid Saber Droid. Thanks in advance!
I never had trouble giving administrator access to apps on stock rooted with unlocked boot loader so its probably a problem with the ROM, try contacting paranoid saber droid developers and see if any other people have the same problem

Hello all. Since this is a new account I guess I cannot post under the development page. So my question is this (sorry if this has been asked before I search as much as I could). I installed this Echoe Rom about four days ago and works great but when someone tries to call me I recieve nothing, sometimes a Voice-mail but doesn't ring or get a notification. Rebooted and no go. I thought it was an issue with the cache/Davilk so I wiped and rebooted but still nothing. So I researched and some android users (pm another site) said you have to switch between Auto/LTE/4g and 3g/2g and back again....finally worked. But every time it reboots I have to do this and it's rather annoying because I get a random reboot everyday. If anyone knows a work around for this would greatly appreciate it because after a day of trying to fix it I'm stumped lol. Thx

I has this issue ... what fixed it for me was just making a backup with TitaniumBackup and doing a clean install of stock firmware, re-rooting and and flashing the rom and then wiping data in the Aroma installer... doing this gave me zero issues .

Do you have Lspeed installed by any chance? If so do you have improve call quality enabled? Disabling this fixed the issue for me so anyone who has this problem and enabled it, disable it and see if it fixes the problem.
I'm having issue unlocking my pin after rebooting my phone, I'd have to input my pin and select ok multiple times in order to unlock my phone and screen shuts off in between untill it randomly unlocks after a few times trying to input pin. I have tried to Google the problem to no avail. Anyone gets this or know the solutions? I'm using face unlock on us based s8+ if that helps anyone.
Same here this morning. Finally 15th attempt did a factory reset as I had set to do in such circumstance.
Restored from Samsung and Google and going again in about an hour. Now I'm leery about using pin*face security.
Just updated my custom rom to the latest version. Maybe help, maybe not.

Perhaps Samsung rolling out Bixby changes yesterday, which both roms share.
