I have last nighties and 38r. And fpsmeter shows 60 fps or 40. But games not running smoothly.
Earlier on 33R perfomance was normal but not now.

Why this should be? How can I look at it? I reinstall back to 30R and there more smoother look. But 30r consume power.

Rogers HTC One XL very laggy in games

I dont know if it is just my device but if im playing pretty much any game it is very choppy and laggy GTA 3 is constant lag cannot play because of it. temple run will miss turns and jumps due to lag. Im very disappointed with this phone i love the screen on it and thats all i can say about it right now . it heats up in minutes doing anything on it battery life is low on benchmarks its telling me the cpu is running around 1100-1200 mhz is anyone else having any of these issues with theres?
I have the HOX L from Rogers (have been for the past 2months). I can safely say that I've had no lags in games,
neither do i
I noticed your roooted and running a custom Rom have you tryed playing any these games completely stock
yes i'm on stock and games run fine lol

Heating Problem?

I was playing Dungeon Hunter 4 last night, played it for almost 20 mins. Noticed the camera area was getting heated up a lot then all off a sudden the mobile restart's. So is this a common problem?
I am running Bliss Pop with Boeffla Kernel.
Yes, if you overheat the processor or GPU by overclocking or with a custom performance profile.
BTW, questions and support issues go here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/help
Oops did not see that thread , sry for posting here.
But I have not overclocked the CPU nor the GPU, are they overclocked by default?

You are running a custom kernel, so you'll have to check out the thread for it to see if they have changed the default values.

how about a clean install?

Well I did that, but while playing heavy games the cpu temp is around 68-70, is that normal? and I tried the antutu benchmark but when the cpu temp was 70 it restarted, tried 3 times the same. I left the mobile to cool down then tried, it ran the complete test.
So my main concern is , if my OPO is heating a lot than normal?

Are you running any custom kernel? Also, what ROM are you running? What games are you talking about? It would help if you could give some more info
I am on full stock not even rooted and I am talking about games like subway surfers or dumb ways to die 2 or temple run 2 or asphalt 8 stutter and lag but modern combat 5 works fine
So this is issue

Same here. I was shocked when I noticed a basic game like subway surfers stuttering on such a powerful hardware :/
Try changing the performance mode from the default mode 'Balanced' to 'Performance' mode which is the highest setting.
Performance mode increases the max cpu frequency. Do try that and see if the lag decreases.
Ive not tried any of the above games.

Performance mode doesn't change the maximum CPU frequency, you need a custom kernel to do that. What it does is change the minimum CPU frequency to be the same as the maximum, so it's always at the maximum frequency.

Of course, you have the option of flashing a custom kernel... But since you're not rooted, you could try switching from Dalvik to Art in developer settings. I've experienced lag in games like you said but flashing a custom ROM and kernel rids of the stutters for me.

Thank you. My usage is almost the same as yours except no game and almost on wifi. And I have the same battery life on Omni and Darkobas.

NucleaROM + UKM. I can get around 8 hours SoT (or 5 playing with a DS emulator). Highly optimized for our devices and the kernel is as close to AK as it gets. I can get a smooth experience with 2 cores hovering between 883MHz and 1.5GHz which definitely helps. With DraStic, my phone hardly goes above 3 cores at 1GHz. Scrolling is silky smooth even at single core 1.5GHz.

It's the flashable zip that allows kernel tuning via Synapse. Should be somewhere in the OP.
I always use Sultans Rom and I get sot around 4 hrs ...

How to fix this lag problem.

Good day! Does anyone have fix for this? I tried everything i can but whenever i play mass pvp sieges games the game lags (Castle siege Lineage 2 revolution, Ragnarok EL Mobile WoE, WoC) so hard and i keep getting fps drops but whenever i play fps games like pubg and fortnite i never had this problem. Using all stock and tried everything i can.
Remove the Google app, and the ok Google enrollment apps and every lag disappears just like that. The phone runs smooth as silk after that

Do you have suggestion? Im using PE rom now. The lag reduced a bit. Hopefully it can be better.
Smurf Kernel.
Did you able to fix this? I'm having the same problem.
