[Q] Unfortunately, the process com.android.systemui has stopped. - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I get this error on my Nexus 5 at least once a day maybe more. I have researched everything I could think of that would cause this problem and still have not figured it out. At first I thought it was my rom. So i factory reset my phone and flashed a new rom. I went from CM11 to Paranoid Android and I am still getting the error. Then I figured it was one of my several mods. So I uninstalled Xposed framework and still got the error. PLEASE HELP this has been going on for several months and is very annoying. Is it something I'm just going to have to live with?

[Q] Nexus S apps shutting down

Sorry if this is addressed elsewhere, but I've searched and can't find an answer. Phone is a Samsung Nexus S on Telus 3G. Its rooted and running CyberGR-Mod ver 9. I've been using this setup for about a year. In the last 24 hours, I've started getting error messages "Unfortunately app has stopped working", where app could be anything and everything including android processes, I think. I'm no expert on this and did the rooting, flashing by following step-by-step instructions. If I reboot things work for awhile and then start shutting down again. Battery life has deteriorated as well. I did try to install Flash Player yesterday and this might have caused the problem. I uninstalled but problem persists. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

You could use a software such a betterbatterystats to see if something is draining your battery and going rogue.
It's also possible your battery itself is the cause of the problems. Fluctuating voltages can have very strange effects.
I would make a Nandroid, wipe everything, and reflash the rom and see how it goes. If that doesn't fix it, I'd look for a new battery.
Thanks. I'll give it a go.

[Q] Apps taking forever to install..

Im currently running beanstalk 4.2.2 v5 rom and when i try to install any app no matter how small or large the apk is, it takes forever to install it. I have no clue what could be causing this at all. it just one day started taking a very long time to install anything. is there something i can do to fix this or is it more of a device problem? ive tried searching google for anything that may help me out in this and came up not finding anything close to helping me. Thanks in advance!

i would say to flash to stock then wipe and do a fresh installation..
The only problem I have with that is that for some reason I can't get Odin to work on my phone. But its also been a while since I've tried as well. Is it BC I've flashed many different ROMs and installed and uninstalled apps with residual data left over?

[Q] Random Reboots Since 4.4.3

Anyone else?
Fully stock? Do a factory reset from stock recovery.. Should fix it. If you're on a custom rom, do a clean flash. (wiping everything except data)
- Sent from an IceCold Hammerhead!
Thx for the advice.
But was wondering if anyone else is getting them.
I'm trying a few things to fix it as I never had a reboot since I owned the phone in November last year, until 4.4.3
At the moment I'm trying an older radio, but it's hard to pin since my last try of using a 4.4.2 kernel kept me up for 35 hours before it happened again.
got an rma replacement.. still happening

no, is completely fresh
tried everything under the sun over the last month.. factory image installs, running safe mode, no apps installed, new Google account... ect ect
can't stop a soft reboot occurring every 2 or 3 days.. I use to have 'up times' of over a month on 4.4

Perform a factory reset and see if it sorts things out??
I'm assuming you're stock, unrooted??
still suffering from this
i have noticed that if location is not set to off, it's much better, where it can run for over a week at time
as soon as i turn location off, I'm lucky to get much over 30 hours before it soft reboots
going back to 4.4 it is completely stable as it always was

Google now refuses to set up..

No matter what I do, Google now will not set up for me. It says "network error. check your connection and try again". I have tried it on both wifi and data, 3 different gapps packs, 3 different 5.1 roms aosp and cm based, ....and I even downgraded to kitkat and back up to stock 5.0.2...and it is still doing it. I am at a loss here. Can anyone help

Did a factory reset on my Nexus 6 today and I'm having the same issue. Was chatting with someone on G+ who has the G4 and same problem for him too. Seems to be happening on new device setups and Factory reset. IDK the solution super annoying.

So strange. I flashed another rom this morning...and it just started working as expected...

Apps getting stuck/not responding/crashing

Good day everyone. So I recently started to experience weird freezes and crashes of most of the apps. Like facebook, instagram, some games. Not all of the apps do this. It all started about a month ago. I tryed using multiple diffrent ROM's. Although that ROM did work correctly for another month before these errors came up. Now I am using Global Elite rom: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/development/sm-g920f-sm-g925f-griffin-t3435461
I always do a clean flash. Rooted with magisk, even though I was using SuperSU for other roms. Any help will be aprecieted. I am suspecting hardware failure (anyway to test that?). Thanks in advance.
Bumping this thread. Things getting worse... Please anyone. I am desperate...
Why don't you revert to your initial ROM, the one that never caused any issues?

Problem is that every rom I've tried do same things. What is left to try is stock official firmware. But I will have to try it later as I am currently on the go.
Try to do a factory reset and see if the problem persists.
