Hi guys, sorry before if I posted this in wrong section.. since this is the Q/A forum then i posted it here
found this really nice phone : (Sharp Aquos Crystal) and I'm in love with the frameless effect /animation effect for the notification on this phone as seen on video below at 5:20
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=opVgMDtBecA&feature=youtu.be
I'm curious ... since the light notification animation it self are using only the screen area not the frame... can that that light animation effect features be ported (for notification, etc) to Oneplus One?
since i really dont know much about droid development. but I'd like to help as much as i can....
any dev interested making of this?
thanks

Does anyone know if it would be possible to have a screen rotation animation similar to the Droid 3 as seen in this video?
As you can see, the animation flows into place, as opposed to ours which just jumps or snaps into place. I really like the way it looks and I think it would look great on our Sensation 4G! If a rom developer could add something like this to their rom that would be awesome!
Well I guess by the silence the answer is no.
But it seems like with the next version of Sense were getting this feature. You can see it in action here (but you have to look closely because its just a flash).
Hey Guy's,
I just recently purchased a Samsung Infuse 4G and retired my Sony Xperia X10. At first glance i fell in love with the huge screen and vivid colors of the Infuse, but after a day or so of actual use, i have come to realize that the pixel density leaves a bit to be desired. I have noticed that certain fonts appear to be pixelated likely due to the fact that the resolution on our screens is a bit too low for the physical size of the display.
So my question is this, is there a font pack of some sort that can be installed to improve the overal text readability on our devices? I noticed that some fonts look allot better then others. For example, the fonts i see in Handcent SMS look clean and smooth, but the fonts i typically see on my browser look jagged and pixelated.
Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
Alternatively, if there is a custom ROM that you can suggest that has taken this into account, i would love to hear about it. I will be keeping my phone stock for about a week or two to get a real feel for it so i have something to compare it to after i root and start installing custom ROMs
Trust me just leave it alone your eyes will adjust to it. It'll feel normal sooner or later. That's how I felt when I left The Captivate for this phone

Install Voodoo Screen Tuning from the market. You will be blown away. I no longer have any criticism on the readability of text.
Hello,
Try installing the Roboto font found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1309642 in combination with supercurio's Voodoo Screen Tuning app. Its a wonderful combo
I just installed the screen tuner and wow does it ever make a difference! I may also try the suggested font, but i must say i now feel a heck of allot better about buying the Infuse! It makesme wonder why samsung has not optimized the screen for infuse by default?? I'm glad that we have such amazing devs on this forum who can tackle these problems head on, thanks guys!
Hi,
Only found 1 other thread where the only replies were about where OP decided to post... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1235258
So in any case, I come from the land of the Galaxy S, Nexus S and Optimus 2x, all of which had support for lighting the home/menu/back/search keys when you received a notification, aka BLN aka Backlight Notification
Now that I have a Sensation, I realize it has the little green/orange LED next to the front camera for notifications, but my question is whether BLN support can be added to extend the noticeability of new notifications, as compared to those other phones I find the Sensation's piddly LED hard to see compared to a backlit row of keys.
The keys already light up when the screen is unlocked, and with the recent development of sweep2wake by showp1984, I should think there is already a working knowledge of how to interface with the touch keys while in lock.
And so, I must ask: is it at all possible to port BLN to this phone? I'd try myself, but alas, I not a godly kernel hacker just yet
Bump. Any devs hangs out in Q&A at all?
I want to know this as well because BLN is one of my favorite things about Samsung phones.
I'm running a SGSII now and love it - big beautiful screen, BLN, and we have cm10 without having to deal with all of HTC's bull**** quality control issues like dust under the screen, etc.
Hello, guys!
First of all, I am new here and I am not as good as most of you Devs are, so please bear with a beginner here.
I am looking for a way to downgrade my Sony Xperia Z3 D6653 from Android Lollipop 5.1.1 build number 23.4.A.1.232, to Android KitKat 4.4.4. I have no clue whatsoever on what to do. So, if any of you Devs please help me.
I also have another concern. I don't know whether this is from my update on 5.1.1 or after I dropped my phone when I was on the toilet. ( Don't ask why I did ) Anyway, my concern is that whenever my phone boots up, or whenever I use a dark wallpaper, or simply any dark color, there's a small purple and a little smudge of pink on the upper left of my unit. It looks like the design brand of Nike to be honest. On light colors, especially white, there are no signs of the said color. Only on dark and boot up. For example, when you're opening a YouTube video and the video is still black due to buffering, you can see the purple or pink smudge, Nike like design color. It's really irritating as I am a huge fan of dark colors. It is quite noticeable whenever I set the brightness to maximum. On 50% to lowest, it it not. But since I'm quite the meticulous person, I can see it pretty well especially on low light. How do I fix this? I've searched on common defects on Sony handsets such as dead pixels. And mine is different to a dead pixel. I also searched photos of devices that were dropped and there were colors such as blue, purple, pink, etc that form a huge line. But the difference between mine and theirs is that mine is only visible on dark colors. On light, none. Theirs, may it be light or dark, it is prominent. My friend also told me about this that IT COULD BE because of the update as to why it only appears on dark colors. And just to remind you, my floor was wet and my phone fell face down on the rubber matting of the floor. Could it be that the motherboard was affected of the impact that it produced such colors on dark colors? I have no clue. Just theories that I mentioned based on my researches. I LOVE THIS PHONE and I plan to repair it in any way possible ( except for opening it ). So, please, if any kindhearted Devs out there who are willing to help me. I WILL BE MOST GRATEFUL. I do not have money yet to upgrade to the new Xperia Z5. And even if I do have it, I'd love to keep my Z3. Pls do help. I can't send you a picture of my concern, but if it helps, imagine a black color and there's a small Nike Logo colored in purple and pink on the upper left corner.

Hi there,
I recently upgraded to an LG Velvet 5G running Android 10. For the most part, it's been great, but when I set a custom image as the background of the lock screen, the clock font keeps changing from white with no outline to black with a white outline. At first I thought it was just the pictures I was using but it doesn't seem to make any difference; if the text is on a light background it still sometimes appears white and vice versa. I also wondered if it had something to do with the automatic night mode setting because it seems to change around twice a day, but disabling that doesn't make any difference. Is there any way to disable this feature? Google searches and digging through the menu haven't helped so far. I'd be happy with it always remaining one or the other or being able to choose which it is, if that's an option.
Thanks!

Hi, benpeltz.
I'm on a Velvet SD845 not a 5g. But I've noticed it a couple of times.
I had a G8X before it and it happened a lot more so I think it's some kind of LG bug.
Peace,
NeeF

Thanks for responding NeeF. Good to know I'm not alone in this - I haven't yet come across anyone else (including my wife) who's experiencing this! Good to know I'm not crazy!

LOL, no problem.
Oh, may I ask you something regarding your Velvet?
Either I'm going crazy too or experiencing a screen issue.
It seems mine has kind of a greyish screen....I know it has a pretty bright screen, but It seems like the blacks aren't really black.
And when I pull down my notifications bar while having something like a movie, or a YT video or even my Settings, the notification bar gets really stained in grey (with the black around) where there's something written in white. Idk if you can understand what I'm trying to say, it sounds confusing and I'm not a native English speaker lol.
But I can try to record it and post it for you.
Anyway, you're welcome and thank you in advance!
Peace,
NeeF

Have you tried changing it to "Vivid" screen color? Settings->Display->Screen Color. Personally I felt like all the colors were a little washed out before I did that.

I actually did. But it's not just the colors that seem washed out...it's this thing that when I have a black image with bright letters or a white image surrounded by black it makes a grey stain around the white. I'll post s screen record so you can see it. Man, it's killing me not knowing if I'm crazy or it's something normal, although it's pretty ugly and annoying for me. LoL
There you have it. Hope you can understand me better. It not only when pulling the notification bar, but also during videos or even when using a simple black wallpaper with a bright detail in it.

Are you referring to the "frosted glass" effect, where you see the background faintly behind the drop-down menu? If so, I certainly get it with the drop down but I don't get it when I'm playing videos. I'd appreciate a screenshot of that to make sure I'm tracking with you though.

Hi, benpeltz!
Just got the font colour issue now.
You're not crazy at all. Lol
As i mentioned before, I think this is due to some bug.

Yes, that's what happens on my phone periodically. Thanks for sharing the screenshot.
