TWRP for XT925 running 4.4.2 KitKat
Can someone please reupload de TWRP 2.7.1.0 file from this thread? The filename is TWRP2710-RAZR-HD_M-KITKAT.img
I cannot find this file in any place, and tried to flash older versions of TWRP didn't have effect.

It looks the website is down, but you can get TWRP 2.8.0.0 over at Droidrzr.com.

the title of this says "hd-m", but im sure i got it from this (hd) forum. so im not responsible if its not the right one for the m.

TWRP 2.8.0 V2 is available and works fine besides occasional black screen when loading.
I let it idle sleep, then wake up the phone and TWRP screen will display properly after.

XT926 KK 442 TWRP Backup Successful - CM Install crashes TWRP
Thanks so much RikRong.
I did a lot more reading found a good TWRP recovery img in a bootloader version and a fastboot version.
I flashed the fastboot recovery file from the cmd line while booted to AP Fastboot. I then rebooted into KK and ran TWRP to successfully perform a Classic back on the internal storage. After rebooting into KK, I opened TWRP Manager and could see my stock ROM backup file in the restore section. Woo-hoo!
However, when I ran the Install in TWRP Manager to install my ROM, cm-10.2.1-xt926.zip, TWRP Manager crashes. What should I do next to get my cm ROM installed? Where should I place the ROM zip file for best results?
Thanks!

Paradox4201, I found some TWRP2710 and 2800 img files for XT926 here:
http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php?/topic/51883-
The fastboot 2800 version img worked for me on KK 442. Maybe the 2710 img will work for you.

Hm... are you talking about leaving Boeffla-Kernel or moving to Boeffla-Kernel?
If you leave Boeffla-Kernel, you do not need to use any cleaner script. Boeffla stores everything under /data/.boeffla, and this cannot be used by any other kernels.
If you move to Boeffla, also usually no cleaning before required.
Only exception: If you were on a kernel before that stored all his configuration into init.d scripts, then you should cleanup your /system/etc/init.d folder before flashing Boeffla.
That's all however.

ALL: Google is again playing games and locked down the first of my 3 donation apps in Playstore. Of course no compelling reason provided.
But as I already prepared for that half a year ago, I would like to remind you to use your personal unlock key to gain donation functionalities.
If you have not yet generated (this can be done in the donation app itself) and entered it into Boeffla-Config, it is now urgent to do that!!!
I cannot ensure Google will not lock down the other two donation apps as well soon, so you should be prepared now.
From my side, next Boeffla-Config app version will not support these donation apps anymore but only personal unlock codes.
Also, I will replace remaining donation apps in Playstore very soon (today or tomorrow) with a dummy app that tell users to get in touch with me manually.
Thanks for understanding... and alohas Google, all done wrong, guys there.
Cheers

Thanks a lot, the kernel is fantastic.
Hi from Russia. Excellent operation! I tried to pay, but my payment system of it doesn't allow to make. Sorry. The kernel for N8000beta5 isn't set through TWRP2.8.3.0 "error bynary". I set through Odin. Everything is great. Good luck!
And you can also use Boeffla-Config app to flash kernel updates now.
Surprised twrp throwing an error, s3 and opo kernels flash fine with twrp. But I only report what others say, I never use twrp. I am a philz touch guy...

OK! I set Philz v6.48.4. The kernel of beta5 was normally stitched. Last versions of kernels were normally sewed on TWRP. Thanks! Good luck!

But this is unexplainable then... the flash binary has not changed for more than half a year.
However I got to know in the OnePlus One thread, TWRP seems to have introduced some issues lately. But never used TWRP myself, so it is just second hand information I have seen.

Ah, but can be something else.
In order to avoid people are flashing wrong kernels, I put asserts in.
Could you please just boot your tablet and look in /system/build.prop file what the entries are there for:
ro.build.product
ro.build.model
ro.build.device
Many thanks
Andi
Ok, for the time being I uploaded the kernels again without the assert checks.
So be careful to not flash the kernel on a different device than the Tab10.2
Please redownload the zip again, it should work now also in TWRP.
Thanks

[A511] check.partition.size=[__PROP_UNDEFINED__]
Hi,
I've tried installing CM11 on my A511. So in fastboot I've installed recovery-cwm-shreps-6.0.5.0-a510-lvm.img (and later, just to try recovery-cwm-shreps-6.0.4.9-a510-lvm.img).
After a reboot and wipe, I have used "apply update from external strorage" on file cm-11-M11-20141018-UNOFFICIAL-a510-a511_lvm.zip (and later, just to see, what happens cm-11-M10-20140920-UNOFFICIAL-a510-a511_lvm.zip).
In every case after "Verifying update package..." the message check.partition.size=[__PROP_UNDEFINED__] is displayed and everything stops.
What am I doing wrong?

Both TWRP and CWM are compatible with AOSP ROM (Cyano, AOKP, Paranoid, etc.)
I think we never try a jump from 4.1 stock to 4.4.4
Maybe this is the issue. Try with the latest TWRP first, and if it doesn't work try to flash CWM 6.04.5 and flash CyanogenMod 10.1 or 10.2 (Android 4.2.2 / Android 4.3)
If it's working fine, then upgrade recovery and flash a 4.4.4 ROM

[Q] Photon Q - Good plan for upgrade CM from 10.2 to 11

Hello guys
I successfully installed CM 10.2 - with description on Cyanogenmod wiki site with CWM recovery.
(http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_xt897) it was few months ago, and now this branch is obsolete
Now i would like to move on CM-11-M12
i tryied to install with new guideline on cyanogen mod but it stops when i am showing the package at cwm - it is saying that package is not for this phone.
So main question - does somebody done something like that ? if so, please give me few main guidelines how to do that, or what i am doing wrong ?
Thanks in Advance
Wojciech
Update your recovery - CWM is not very updated for the PhotonQ.
Use TWRP or OpenRecovery for a more updated recovery.

one more thing that should be noticed and it isn't written on tutorial :
for Photon q you should use moto_msm8960_jbbl because normal will not work, info found on CM blog post

We don't have many tutorials here. I spose you just gotta do a lot of reading before you understand all of the little idiosyncrasies with the device .
