When I go to the playstore and try to install the Amazon app, it says that the app is not compatible with the ROM, any idea?
No one else has this problem? Just to add, I am on Stock Cyanogen 38R with unlocked bootlader and rooted. And I am based in India so India Play Store.
Are you talking about the Amazon App Store app? I've been running it on this device since day one, but I sideloaded it.

This happened to me when I changed the DPI. Happens with some apps. If this is the case with you, then try setting back to stock DPI which is 480. You can then change it back after you've installed it and it should still run fine.

Will try this today.

Is this a separate apk? Wondering why it is not working from the Google Play store, any one else facing this issue?
I am receiving similar errors but with all Amazon apps except the amazon app that allows you to look at your orders and search amazon.com. The app store, music app and the cloud drive photo storage app all crash as soon as I try to sign in. Im running stock 38R as well and I had the same problem prior to updating to 38R. On the Oneplus Forums it seems lots of people have been having problems with Amazon apps, but no one has had any clue as to why or how to fix it. Hoping someone over here can shed some light on the subject!

POSSIBLE SOLUTION: Revert back to old market (uninstall updates in settings>manage apps>Google Play), visit the market again and it will be available to download.

Go to your settings/applications/manage applications, select teh "All" tab and then look up the Google Play (Android Market) and select Clear Cache & Clear Data, then go back to the market and see if that problem persists. It should be cleared.

Use the donate version of Titanium Backup to detach apps from the market if you have them installed through Amazon Appstore or another service.

Just get the free version of Titanium Backup:

PRO is the only way to go but the freebee is a good start.

The Market Doctor features only work with the donate version though
OK, i found a possible solution.
Go to the google market/play app on manage apps. Uninstall all updates for it. Then go on the store again and you can purchase the app the you previously couldnt
Nope...
Hello,
This solution did not work for me. My friend sent me an app he purchased via email, which I cannot update since I did not purchase it. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it still apperas as purchased in Android market/google play... Are there any other solutions to this issue?
In advance, thank you very much for your attention.

Yes, I removed the app since last night, and tried purchasing/reinstalling from google play. I could not reinstall since the app appeared as purchased in google play store.
Only today I tried uninstalling the market updates to try to purchase/reinstall from the old market with no success either...
I am having this problem too! Also on the market on my PC, it shows up as purchased, so I can't buy Shadowgun! :S
Same here..
And no one of this fixes that you guys comment has work to me.

I have 3.10.9 Play Store.. Flashed the multi DPI JB version. Works fine for a day or so then it'll revert back to an older version ( 3.9.something I think) and more than half of my apps won't show up under My Apps. It is fixed by reflashing the multi DPI Play Store zip, but I don't understand why it is even happening. Is there a permanent fix or anything I can try?

Which zip did you flash?
I had that happen to me once yesterday, but it switched on me from inverted back to normal (fixed after a reflash and hasn't happened again).
It is called Multi DPI Play Store for JB.zip. I think I found it in the int'l GSII forum but according to OP it was tested on many different devices and comments by other users reflected that.

That's the one I use and other than the 1 problem I had yesterday (that only cropped up after a TiBu restore) I really haven't had any issues.
That's definitely the one.. I'm so confused then.. Maybe it's an issue with the rom, although I doubt it (SlimBean).. What rom are you on?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using XDA Premium App
Slim Bean...
Definitely not an issue with Slim Bean, unless you are flashing an addon app after you're flashing the multi dpi play store.
Though, the play store that comes with Slim should be multi dpi...

Reflashed the rom and gapps, rebooted, let the rom settle, then set up my Google account. Opened Play Store, made sure I wasn't having any issues, then closed it and cleared data for Play Store and Google Services Framework. Booted into recovery and flashed multi DPI Play Store.. Worked fine until I rebooted the phone an hour later and now I have 3.9.x instead of 3.10.x. I don't understand why this is happening but it's driving me crazy.

May play store doesn't recognize the. 10 version as legit so it goes ahead and updates it. Have you deactivated auto updates in the playstore settings!

Just open the play app. Hit the phones menu button. Then under settings uncheck auto update!
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda premium
That has nothing to do with auto-updates for the actual Play Store app, it just disables auto-updates to downloaded apps/games
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using XDA Premium App
For anyone who might be wondering.. I noticed that I still had the Play Store 3.9.x apk in /system/app along with PhoneSky.apk which is (correct me if I'm wrong) the modified Play Store apk. I deleted the 3.9.x apk and rebooted, and since then I've rebooted 6 times or so and I can still see all my apps in the Play Store and the version is still 3.10.x.

Hello, I just got my G3 from AT&T on Friday and I've noticed some issues with the Play store showing apps that should be available. The AT&T Visual Voicemail app says that its not compatible, but if I download the apk from XDA, it works fine. Also, I can't locate the Amazon app (Regular Store App, not App Store app). Its almost like the phone is not an AT&T phone. When I put Visual Voicemail in the Play store, it shows TMobiles VV and allows me to download and install it but not AT&T. Any suggestions?
mine had vvm preloaded on it. i'm not seeing amazon app either, maybe a compatibility thing for the screen res?
Just find the att vvm apk online and install it. Working fine on my g3.
Same with the Amazon app apk. Not to be confused with the Amazon app store apk

This is because of our screens. The play store restricts what it shows you based on your screen size/resolution. I believe there's an xposed module that fixes this not sure though

Yeah, some apps won't show up because of the dpi of the device. I am rooted, and I am using the "Play Store Fixes" module in Xposed, and now all apps are showing up. You might want to look into this as well if you are rooted, or plan to root.

Go through Amazon's own Appstore
I had noticed the same issue as well. I end up using some apps I got for free on Amazon Appstore, so after I got those apps, I just thought of trying for Amazon app. Turns out, it works just fine.
Here's the Amazon Appstore download instruction, and once you have that, you can either search from the appstore or get it through app download site.
I just installed it aswell. maybe they updated it.

At the rate Google and all the other apps update the TBO guys do a hell of a job!
I use a ton of their apps and if there is a new feature one of those version updates brings they're pretty quick to theme it.
A great deal of the app updates are just minor silly things and when they open up the apks to theme they'll even say in their thread how that version update was nothing major at all!
TBO all the way!
