Hi All,
I have china tablet:
Model: A70H
CPU: Allwinner A23
OS: Android 4.2.2
Spec like: Eken_A70h
I has encountered situations :
I use adb tools, then I type: "adb reboot-bootloader" command. As a result, the tablet has hang on bootloader screen can not exit, even I shutdown and reboot using the power button. I checked in the computer-device manager, I see : Android Bootloader Interface
I can not exit this bootloader mode, please help me. thank you!
After spending an entire afternoon researching this same issue, I have found what I think is the answer.....The Allwinner A23 tablet does not utilize hard reset keys. All the info that you read about on the internet about holding the power key with the volume up or down key, etc., does not work on these tablets. Strangely, at least for me, the answer was wonderfully simple - hopefully some of the developers here will test this on these tablets, as, if you look through the internet, these Allwinner tablets are getting more and more popular. So, the fix that worked for me:
Turn your tablet on (you will see the little Android icon or similar), and leave it on until the battery completely runs out. Now plug it in to your computer or power source and turn it on - for about 5 minutes or so, you will see the battery icon, which will turn off almost right away. Once the tablet gets the slightest charge - voila - the OS loads. It was like a miracle for me, and hope this helps you too.....
Not my tablet,, A23, QA88-V1.3 2014-04-14 (from tmart)
As you say vol+, vol-, vol both does nothing. Tablet has no home or back keys
After discharge, plugging in brings immediatly the little android figure, the boot logo
(both power and micro usb)
I got the boot lock by adb reboot bootloader,
perhaps I will have to use phoenix card
dmesg and lsusb do not change when it is plugged in
So fastboot devices find nothing
Any suggestions??
I take back what I wrote above, I put the tab aside for a month or 2, the battery was flat,
it magically booted (after a bit of charge). I don't know how long it has to be "flat", maybe a week?
Now it is looped again, a failed recovery, it will only boot that
But phoenixcard can make a bootable sd, so you can see if it will be compatible before flashing
Lots of very obnoxious dl sites for this firmware,, qa88,, its hardly worth the trouble
I have been hammering on my tab for a few days now,,
the bootloader and recovery are crap software.
Maybe that's why there are no keypresses
My original, at least could get to recovery, but the vol keys were dead,
so all I could do was reboot
All 4 of the firmwares I have found bootloop when you try to go to recovery
(and there is no adb in any of these when bootlooped)
There are more than 4 out there, but when you md5sum , it's just a different name
Fortunatly most of these bootloops have been on a sdcard boot, so I just fire up
PhoenixCard again and rewrite the sd
If you play with this, you better have a good firmware and TEST it with a sd boot,,
and you will lose whatever config you have done
there are perhaps 2 more unique firmwares I haven't mange to get yet, I have hopes
(I prefer 4.4 to 4.2, but the with the navcity 4.4 the camera doesn't work,
I have edited script0 and init.sun8i.rc , maybe the order of module loads matter)
Most of the firmware is 4.2, only 2 4.4 (AFAIK)
BTW, this is a QA88ver1.3, JDQ39

Hi
I have an ASK 748SP tablet, model info "crane-evb v13" with Android 2.3.4 installed.
I have not had success with flashing a recovery mode.
My device is not on the ROM Manager list.
flash_image responds with "Error scanning partitions: No such file or directory."
The device was strangely rooted when I bought it from the retailer. The instruction manual strangely says to boot into recovery mode by holding Vol + and the power button. I called the support company and they said that a recovery needs to be installed first. Using Root Explorer there is no recovery folder. (/recovery) - is there supposed to be?
Sorry if all of that doesn't make sense. I'm a noob around here.
So my question is how can I flash a recovery mode on my device OR how do I flash a ROM via my computer? (and make backups.)
PS: I do not have fastboot and am hopeing to upgrade to ICS.
Any help would much be appreciated. Thanks.
Have you found anything out yet?
I purchased a 5 point capacative screen 7 inch tablet from Ebay (NEW) about 4 weeks ago. The name of this tablet is Tablet PC (LOL). But under About Device and model number I get the same crane-evb-v13, Android 2.3.4, Kernel Version 2.6.36-android. Other than a minor issues with a keyboard, a retarded partioning, and getting Netflix to stay in sync (voices and video out of sync) the unit has been fast, responsive, and over all good considering I paid $128 new for it.
Have you made any head way as to if this unit can be rooted?
My tablet surprisingly came rooted like I said, I have tried rerooting it but didn't succeed. Unfortunetly I have bricked my device but hope to recover it soon.
@I get the same crane-evb-v13, Android 2.3.4, Kernel Version 2.6.36-android
I have Android 2.3.4 too (or should I say I did, ) Kernal Version 2.6.36-android, and I too have minor issues with the keyboard.
Retarded partitioning - I think so too - once again - flash_image failed, I seem to have /mnt/sdcard instead of /sdcard. The sdcard is built in which kind of confuses me.
Thanks for your reply, hope you can get your device rooted. If you find anyway to install recovery mode, please tell me.

Try the zixoon ROM:
1.- The battery must be charged before making update.
2.- DISCONNECT! device from charger.
3.- Turn "off" and then turn "on" hardware switch on device.

(Charger must be unplugged from the device!).
6.- The PC detected a new storage "VDfu" with some letter.
7.- Run the Zixoon Flash Tool.exe (on Windows Vista/Seven must be run with administrator privileges)
8.- Coose "Flash device" button at the left side and press "Start" button to begin the flashing process.
9.- Wait several minutes untill gets "Complete" message.
(Do not disconnect the USB cable during the flashing process!)
10.-Disconnect Zixoon v78 from PC

Hi
After being on numerous custom Roms for the xoom I decided to return to stock and was succesful in return to the 3.01 stock image for the wifi MZ604 model
I was also successful in relocking the xoom.
I then began to receive the offical updates though everytime the were applied I had to go into recovery and wipe the device as otherwise it would bootloop on the dual core screen.
On the last update that it received and that was installed , on rebooting nothing happend and the screen just went blank
No combination of volume up + power would show any sign of doing anything.
After leaving the tablet to the side for awhile I noticed it came up with the following
model mz604 : Revision0 (0x8000) modem none
InitBl Info function failed with codes 299/3
failed to boot 0x0001
starting RSD mode 3
one wire : charger is not connected or battery is not being charged
battery charge level : 56%
I tried fastbooting and adb at this point but no devices are found. However when plugging in the xoom my laptop recognises something is attached.
After some searching I found out about RSd lite and SBF files.
When opening rsdlite v5.6 (running as admin) the tablet is recognised and I have now attempted to use two sbf files
HUBWF_W5.H.6.4-20_SIGNED_UCAHUBLWFRTCOREEU_P010_A010_M004_HWwifi_hubble_AP1FF.sb f
and
HUBWF_W5.H.6.2-24_SIGNED_UCAHUBLWFRTCOREEU_P006_A006_M003_HWwifi_hubble_Service1 FF.sbf
however both fail when it attempts re numeration.
I would greatly appreciate any help that anyone could give on this
Thanks
Try this.
My mom's Xoom had a similar problem. Reboot the tablet by pressing Volume Up and Power.
Then quickly turn on the xoom and press the down button as fast as possible, and continue pressing until you see "Recovery Mode" (or something similar) on the top left of the screen.
Once you see that, press the volume up button. Quickly, when you see the Android guy with the exclamation mark tap the power button and the up button.
This will take you to recovery mode. In there use the up and down volume keys to navigate and the power button to confirm things.
Go down to restore/delete data (may vary) and press power. use the volume down key to scroll to Yes.
This will restore your tablet back to factory settings. If you're trying to backup your data, don't try... No such luck and you won't be able to without the tablet booted.
thanks for the reply but this didnt work. Tried quite a few times. The screen just goes blank and again after a long while the error shown in the op appears. Should add there is no Motorola logo showing.
I have also tried forcing fastboot by the instructions found in other similar threads but again this does not work.
I think my best bet is the SBF files , but need to understand why this is failing on re-numeration
Hi folks.
I need a little help.
I rooted my Star N9599 MTK6589 to get rid of the malware that was recently reported on news sites. That went fine and I got the malware removed.
However I now want to try some different ROMs on the phone, but can't for the life of me get it to boot into recovery. It will show the jellybean jar image, reboot, then go ahead and load the current ROM.
After searching the forums for ways to boot into recovery(very useful, thanks for that)Here's what I've tried already
Power and volume up (most promising, it loads the jellybean image, looks as though its considering going into recovery but then simply reboots, repeats until volume + has been released, then boots up normally)
Power and volume - (takes me into factory mode)
Power, volume + and volume - (again takes me into factory mode)
Power and home (nothing)
Reboot into recovery via Rom Manager/CWM(same result as Power and volume +)
Reboot into recovery via Quick boot app (same result as power and volume +)
adb reboot recovery via adb (same result as power and volume+)
USB debugging is enabled, I've deactivated the fast boot optionon my phone as well.
I've read somewhere that some phones have been coded to reboot from recovery into standard boot automatically, same article advised that ADB should work around this but no such luck I'm afraid.
Any help or advice you could give would be greatly appriciated as I''m now reaching Phone vs Wall levels of frustration.
Thanks
There is no forum for your device on XDA. However, there is a pretty extensive thread [Q] Star N9599 MTK6589 Quad CoreWith S-Pen 5.7 Inch 720P HD Screen 3G Sma On Home > General discussion > Questions and Answers
There are devices which DO NOT come with a Recovery installed out of box. Yours could be such a case. At least that's what leads me to conclude with your experience. Now that does not mean you can't flash one. You can post in the above thread to see if anyone has flashed CWM Recovery for your phone. Since you have tried Rom Manager, it may have said there is a Recovery for your device.
Bmorn V11, Goclever A73, Eken T02, Aldi Minitab, MyAudio Tablet Series 7, ASK 748SP at the very least look the same and are probably the same tablet. So much so that I ordered a Bmorn touchscreen for my ASk tablet and it worked. ...until I factory reset it from settings a few weeks ago, since then it started freezing up ocasionally and now I get stuck at one of the 3 boot logos but I never see it boot all the way. I hope it's not hardware failing.
I found a button behind the microphone pin-hole after trying vol + and power + home and the like for hours. Can someone please tell me how I get into what i presume is called recovery mode ? I tried pushing that hidden button with the power button, but it doesn't work. Is there even a recovery mode for this device ?
Someone claims there is no recovery mode and vol + and power should work ? So what's the deal with the button behind the mic hole ? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1406429 "The device was strangely rooted when I bought it from the retailer. The instruction manual strangely says to boot into recovery mode by holding Vol + and the power button. I called the support company and they said that a recovery needs to be installed first. Using Root Explorer there is no recovery folder. (/recovery) - is there supposed to be?"
I'm on linux, do I really need windows to flash this ? If I fail, can I try again ? I used to get along computers really well, but android is currently totally confusing me. I found several images that might work, but I really don't mind trying out unofficial images. If I can try them one by one I'll figure it out eventually, but I'm afraid I might brick it or something. I've read about flashing bootable SD cards, but I guess that won't work here ? Nor will the images that are supposed to be flashed to an SD card work ?
I guess I'll have to bet on an image and find a Windows (I'm on Linux) machine and the rest is trial and error ?
Is there a page somewhere I could read to figure out the basics ? I feel really confused by all of this. Thank you !
I also found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23769918&postcount=3 which explains how to flash this, but maybe i don't need to go through that if there is a recovery mode ? And it also seems like those instructions are for t01, and it doesn't involve that hidden button at all. I guess this isn't what i need, right ?
I guess this should work:"Turn off your tablet.
You will find upgrade button located in microphone hole on the right side of your device. Press this button using e.g. paper clip. Next connect your device to your PC while
holding upgrade button" (http://www.goclever.com/data/upload..._d4d0bde076ab401d6cb98bb1b77713165b6ffb11.pdf).
I can't turn off my tablet. All I can do is force it to quit by holding the power button for 5 seconds, is that enough ?
I managed to get adb and although lsusb lists the device, I can't connect to it with adb. After a minute or two lsusb doesn't show the device anymore either. Do I need to have debugging enabled or something ? I was hoping to reset it with
Code:
adb shell
recovery --wipe_data
Please help!
Hello! This is a distress call, because I think I brickered my S10e, through my own fault ...
Trying to install the TWRP according to the instructions given in the Hades Rom, I made two unforgivable mistakes, since years of flashing roms ...
1) I took the wrong installation file (I have the G970F/DS, and flash the beyond2lte file, instead of beyond0lte)
2) I omitted to force boot of TWRP just flashed.
Result: I cannot enter download mode as I did before (the phone does not blink), and trying to enter recovery, out of 20 attempts, it only turned on 2 times and does not go beyond the warning screen that the oem is unlocked, and it is not a safe state. I press power to continue as it says, and the screen turns off. Of course it doesn't start normally with the power button either.
I found out recently that been connected to the PC, it is recognized by it, and I even could access to it though the Windows explorer... Ergo, it's not dead, but the screen is in the infamous "black screen of death". Tried the usb jig emulator, by sugestion of denon480, but it didn't work (see screen capture).
Is there a way to force it into download mode, to flash the correct recovery, or eventually an official firmware? The cell phone is immaculate, I can not resign myself to it turns paperweight !!!!!
I put this here, because the problem was in TWRP recovery flashing, I didn't arrived to the Hades ROM installing process, and this way I can reach more people...
I appreciate any help.
Cheers

I don't even think it is possible to brick Samsungs like that. Are you following the right steps to download mode? Ergo,
Step 1 – Turn OFF your Galaxy S10.
Step 2 – Now press and hold the following buttons on your phone together: Volume Down + Bixby Button.
Step 3 – Next, plug in one end of the USB-C cable to a computer and the other end to the phone. As soon as you will connect, your phone will power on.
I have the same problem. I do not know if the OEM unlocking has something to do with that as I can not turn on OEM although it is not missing but it is not active and can not be turned on. I tried all the solution available online but it looks like no one knows what to do even the so called experts know nothing at all and the only things they know is the direct easy way. So disappointed
Same problem here... any solutions?
