Hello,
So one of my friends has an Acer Liquid E1 brought from China. It's a nice phone and it works perfect. The only issue with it is connected to the region.
I've tried installing a Google Play Store APK but it won't work. When I've finally found one that was working, and not crashing continously, it didn't connect to the Google servers; it stucked to the log in part. Basically, I cannot install any type of Google services on it.
I've tried several methods of rooting, softwares that are rooting your phone with one click (I was in a hurry so I thought this could be helpful) but all of these softwares are telling me that my phone is already rooted...I've tried unrooting it and than rooting it again, but it seems like there's no success.
So, can you tell me a good way of rooting this phone? I've also tried a method which I've found here on the forum, but with no success. It used a flash tool.exe application. .
thank you!
Hi,
Here is a dedicated all in one thread for your device with lots of good stuff in, and you can ask questions there also...

Please understand if the phone is already rooted (Either before you or one of your methods), all attempts might fail.
First test with [APP][2.2+] Simple Root Checker
If that failed, then install SuperSU app from [STABLE][2014.10.15] SuperSU v2.14
Once you open the app, it might prompt to update your binaries. If yes, do so then reboot and check the Root with the first app.
If SuperSU says, you don't have Root, then please review

Hi everybody. Recently i have bought an Alcatel smartphone : the one touch pop C1( you can see the description in the attachment). So i have a problem: i had root it one time and remove the root access with no problem. Some days after i root it again but i have notice that when i open an app that requires root access supersu allow it but the app can't function normally and it's happen a notification of supersu loop:crying:.. the first time i was thinking that a matter of update supersu but when i have done it supersu tell me that the Su binary needs to be updated when i do the update failed. I think that the root have failed even if supersu is here. I'm a really lost because i don't know what to do. I really need your help please. thanx for the comprehension.
P.S i have a stock rom given by the manufacturer and i don't have a custom recovery because the root failed
Since we do not have a Forum for Your device, please pose your query in
Android Development and Hacking > Android General
I see a thread [Guide] Root & CWM for the Alcatel One touch X'Pop 5035D Although it is for a different device, the general principle apply. It may be of help.
Prior removal of the Root has potentially corrupted the Binaries. Reflashing Stock then rooting will help.

Hello everyone,I'm new to XDA.
I recently purchased a HP 7 Plus tablet. Its a decent and a affordable tablet.Since I needed a root access, for some reason i couldn't remember,I decided to root it.I did not find a tutorial for this tablet. Then i got a idea that i could root it with root genius (that chinese one-click root tool made by Shuame,I've used this earlier on my old HP Slate 7.). I clicked that root button and RootGenius began flashing a superuser app called KingUser. It successfully rooted my tablet.BUT,when i rebooted my tablet,The tab does a factory reset after every reboot.I tried the following solutions:
1:Moving the busybox from xbin to bin
2:Applying update from SD Card,Internal Storage.
3:ADB Sideload by flashing stock rom from HP website, worked fine, but mistakenly used rootgenius again, now that's not working either
4:Installing ADB drivers.
Now i have no choice but to make a thread here. Please help.

I found a thread about a similar issue here: [Q] Factory reset after every restart and the internal memory is Zero.
Maybe you can ask there, if someone already found a solution.
If not, best place to ask is the Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum.
Good luck !
Well i somehow flashed the stock ROM and i lost my root access.I'll post this in that "Troubleshooting fourm".

It's a small step, but a step forward IMO.
Thanks for letting us know. Thread closed.
Hi, I'm super new to this I have no clue what I'm doing, but I did manage to follow the instructions of http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/development/root-cf-autoroot-twrp-t800-t3079488 and get my t800 rooted.
Until problem occurs, at http://techbeasts.com/2015/05/01/root-twrp-recovery-galaxy-tab-s-84-running-lollipop-502/ step 9 "Once it has booted up, check out the SuperSu application in the app drawer. If it asks you to update SU binary, update it." When I open supersu app it only ask me to follow someone on google+ but didn't mention anything about update, couldn't find an update option anywhere in the app either.
I ignored this potential problem and then downloaded rootvalidator, everything was green only busy box was yellow and SELinux was blue saying something enforcing, I don't have a screenshot but these 2 were the only one that's not green. I installed busybox free and got busybox in rootvalidator green (from yellow). Not sure if the enforcing part was an issue so I left it like that.
So I use this guide to root t800 is to use xmod, and XMOD actually have their own tutorial on how to root and install and get it to work etc. just didn't have one for this model. I think I made a huge mistake of following their guide after this one, and got mislead not knowing wtf is going on..
I installed xmod and found out it isn't working, I installed kingroot from within xmod app and when I opened kingroot it shows my tab is already rooted. So I was sure it's not a rooting problem, I then found out xmod isn't working because SE is enforcing and I followed the video guide (from xmod faq) on how to make xmod work on enforcing device. I downloaded Link2SD and clear data+ unistalled xmod. But I also clear and unistalled kingroot (and kinguser i think?) and another app that came along with kingroot when i got it (It was in chinese)...
After this I lost root access and when I check rootvalidator it show my device is not rooted anymore. When {I click on supersu it asks me to update normal or from twrp/cwm...
Everything seem to be a mess so I'd like some advice is it better for me just to restore everything back to factory settings and root the device again? Sorry for this long and noob post I'd really appreciate if someone can help me out. Thank you so much!
Hi there
You'd be best served asking for help from the experts who own your device there in the device specific forum you already founded:

So I had rooted my phone some time last year. Everything was fine until December 14 I woke up and my phone was updating on its own. This caused me to lose my root and now I want to re root it. If anybody can point me in the Right direction I would appreciate it so much. A game recently came out called Bleach: brave souls, and when I open it, it says an unauthorized program is running. Pretty much its reading that I have a rooted device, yet superuser is no longer on my device. I'd love to be able to play the game so I downloaded the "hide my root" app but as it stands, I don't have the root so it's pretty much useless until I root my phone. Again, if anybody can guide me through the process, if there is One for this update I'd be very appreciative. Thanks! If more information about the device is needed just ask me what you need and I'll do my best to help.

Hi
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
I don't believe any root methods work on the 5.1.1 update. There's a discussion about rooting the device here > Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [Q] LG G Vista - Root Request try posting your query there.
Good luck
Hey guys,
There's a little problem of mine, which I'd like to ask your help / opinion about. I recently picked up an Asus K011 (ME181c), second-hand, but still in good shape. So, normally, (as any usual Android user would do) the first thing for me was to get on XDA, and look for a rooting method.
I've tried:
* KINGROOT
* KingoApp Root Tool (.apk version and PC-version, also.)
* FramaROOT (Aragorn was the only option it showed me.)
* and lastly, the most recommended one (as the root-method for Zenfones works on this tablet too) the ZenFone ROOT APK. (Versions: v1.4.2r & v1.4.6.4r)
But none of them worked. Already checked out the usual stuff ( 'Unknown sources' & turned off 'Verify apps' & 'USB debugging' ) Tried all of the listed root tools a handful of times, but am getting tired of factory resetting after the 13th time.
Kingo says it hasn't yet got the method for rooting this.
FramaROOT simply didn't success (and yes, I know, that Gandalf is the one that works on ME181c, but still, the only option I had was Aragorn.).
And ZenFone root. Wi-Fi turned off (as it is needed), starting root, it gets me to the Demo offline thingie, I don't click OK (somewhere I read that I shouldn't, but tried both clicking and not clicking it), still it doesn't work neither after resetting the tablet, nor after just simply getting back to the Root app. It doesn't install SuperSU (the app doesn't even provide the option to choose from the different SU's), it simply says 'root failed'.
Weird thing is that anywhere I've read, other people with the same model always got it right.
Already tried turning off and on; airplane mode; charger in/out. It's really bugging me now, so, if you have any idea where could I have gone wrong, please share your ideas. (Also, different root methods and ideas are most welcome.)
Kudos. :good:
Hi there and welcome to Assist,
Unfortunately there is nothing about your question/device on XDA forum. Try a Google search first or try some methods from here:
