Hi Everyone, I hope someone can help
Had the 8010 for a couple years now, rooted it a while back and yesterday wanted to unroot to try for an OTA Update
I did this by trying to install the SAMFIRMWARE most recent ROM using mobile ODIN
Seemed OK but now wont boot. Just get the SAMSUNG logo etc.
It wont be seen by the desktop odin and there are no drivers recognised, I can't check whether I activated USB Debugging but I suspect not
Any thoughts

So if you fire up ODIN and then put your phone in DOWNLOAD mode and plug it in to your computer, you do not get the com port showing as yellow with a random port number shown?
YES

nevermind i can now use odin properly but i think i got to wait for the 4.3 official firmware to download and use it for odin right? i need the 4.3 OFFICIAL firmware file thts model is sch-1535
Yes, with ODIN you have to use the official firmware releases.
Just remember if you flash the official 4.3 release it will update your boot loader and you won't be able to ODIN back to a previous release and clear your warranty void counter.

Hi everyone,
I have currently some big issue with my GT-N8010.
My custom rom wasn't running very well so I decided to reset my tablet and go back to a new fresh installation.
I downloaded the latest firmware of the tablet on sammobile and started to update it with Odin PC, but in the middle of the transfert I got an error and now my tablet is stuck on the "Firmware upgrade encoutered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again.".
I have no idea how to fix it! And I can't go back to download mode anymore. On top of that, my tablet seems not to be recognize by my computer (I tried to install Kies and the samsung usb driver several times but it keeps saying that's the driver is not ok)...
Can someone help me please ?
Thank you in advance!
What custom rom did you had ? 4.4.2 or 4.1.2 ?

It was a 4.1.2 (HD Revolution) and I tried to flash with odin the N8010XXUCMK2_N8010XSACNA2_XSA
First uninstall kies and all usb drivers. Restart your computer.
If you can get in download mode (power+volume down then volume up when asked) :
Install some drivers from the sticky topics here on xda. Download the firmware again from another location if possible. Use a different usb port.
If you can't get in download mode, you have to try with kies. I never had success whit it, and i really need it. But it says that n8010 does not support initializing or something like that. Maybe someone else can help with kies.

I don't know where it comes from...
I tried everything, uninstall/reinstall Kies/Usb driver, put a VM with Win7 (As I am under Windows 8.1), put Win7 in dual boot to maybe fix the compatibility issue but nothing seems to work! And of course I don't have any other computer to use...
That's maybe the reason the tablet get broken as I used to use Odin on another PC and I didn't check if the usb driver was installed on this one??
I just know that Odin recognized my tablet so I was able to launch the installation of the new firmware.
I feel really bad...Hope the tablet is not definitly dead!
Faulty USB cable perhaps ?

Ok so I went to a Samsung store and they told me that I have to send my tablet to the repair center in the country where I bought the device.
It's a big issue for me as I am now living in Australia and my tablet has been bought in France.
On top of that the guy from Samsung explained me that now it's normal if my tablet is not any longer recognize by my computer...
I heard about JTAG, I don't have any idea about the subject but may it fix my problem?
Does someone know how samsung is able to fix the tablet, so I may fix it myself instead of sending to them...?
Hello everyone,
I am a newbie and this was my first root/flash so please bare with me. I recently installed Gnabo rom on my note 10.1 gt-n8013 by flashing the cwm recovery and then installing the zip files from a guide i found online.
After I tried it out, it turned out to be a little buggy, and so I want to switch back to stock. However, my tablet is not being recognized on my computer. I've tried different computers and have bought a new USB with no luck. I have cleared all cache in recovery, cleared everything, uninstalled everything and it is still not working. I have enable USB debugging every time, and have tried without it. I do have the correct drivers installed on the computers. Please help if you can. I will try to flash the stock version if I can find a link to one with mobile odin (so far I have been unable to find a download of the stock firmware that the note came with).
UPDATE:
So I downloaded a stock firmware, turned out it was for note 2 (I think someone posted wrong link) and I flashed it with mobile odin. So now, It shows note 2 at startup and then a black screen. That's it. I am able to go into download mode but that won't do much since I am still unable to get the tablet connected to my pc. Any help would be appreciated!
Hope this is the right place to be asking this question

Hi,
I see you've already asked about this in the appropriate section for your device.

That's awesome! :good:
As XDA Assist is here to help navigate the site, not for support... I'll close this thread since you already found your way.
Good luck!
Hi folks, I have an old Galaxy Grand Prime SM-G530w. It recently took and OTA update and when it rebooted it bricked the phone. It won't enter d/l mode so I can't use odin to restore a stock image. I can hear the phone connecting to my computer when I connect it via usb so there is some life still in it. I don't really want to send the phone to Samsung to get it repaired as it would likely cost more than it's worth So here is my question:
How can I get this phone into d/l mode so I can flash a stock ROM on it?
