[Q]Google play store login error, can't establish... - Xperia Z3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can't Establish a reliable connection to the server...blabla
I looked for the solutions but it seems that the only way is to change the hosts in host file located in system and for that i'll need to root this thing. Do you guys think there is another solution for that? Do you think that flashing a tft would help?

I am getting same error in google play code 923.

My go-to solution for any such problem is to stop the app, clear cache, clear data etc. Maybe uninstall updates to the play store. Sometimes do the same with Play Services. A reboot won't hurt. Then try again.

Done all that...It seems like it's a very common problem amongst people who bought the phone somewhere and are signing in from another location. That's my guess anyways. THe solution for it, however, is to modify/change the host file located in system but i have no clue how to do that without rooting because for Z3, you have to unlock bootloader to root...

[A] Google play "error processing purchase"

Can't download free or already purchased apps? Seems to be happening more frequently since we've had ics roms to flash on our skyrockets. Go to manage apps > all > Google play store, clear data and uninstall updates. Then go to Google services framework and clear data. Then reboot and sign in to Google play store again.
I found this solution by searching, but many more of the posts were people reporting the problem over and over, and the solution was kind of buried beneath the cries for help.

Heh.. that's an issue alright. I've found myself throttled as of today so I'm also having much more success with wifi than the mobile network... but I'm not getting 404 errors, just maliciously slow connections.. the closest guess I can venture is to look in settings > more > mobile networks > access point names > reset to default apns. Either that or maybe flash a different radio. Is the store the only place you're getting errors?

Ye rest of the data usage works fine even while tethering. Just to mention I used lcd modder pro fix on the market but I never heard anyone else with this bug.
I had to set the apn manually anyway because the default one from my providers makes 2 profiles 1 for internet and 1 for mms and the phone cant really handle it so I had to combine them.

Same result with the internet profile?
Maybe uninstall store, remove Google account from device, reinstall store and sign in anew with the account? If that doesn't work, I'd venture to say it may be a problem with your provider. Unless you know people on the same provider without the problem...

Considering I'm usually around wifi it never bothered me so much and until theres an offical 4.0.3 I'm probably not gonna flash any new rom. I'll just wait for the next rom flash and see how it is. Doubt its the provider because my brother has the international GSII and I haven't heard him complain about this issue.
Thanks for trying to help anyway

[Q] Cancelling update for one speficif app?

Hi folks,
While tweaking my phone I accidentally clicked Google Hindu Input on Keyboard & Language section. Even though I unclicked it afterwards, Google Play wants to update it (I manually update my apps). I disable the Input notifications from Apps menu, but it is still shown up under Google Play "update your apps" menu. I installed and uninstalled it, yet to no avail. Is there any way to unlink my connection with it?
I'm using rooted Nexus 5.
I had the same problem, all you have to do is go to Settings>Apps>All>Google Hindu Input>Disable
And that should do the trick!
P.S. it should look like the picture after all said and done..

Thanks for the reply. I did it first, but it said it could affect other apps performances as well, as it is a part of system apps. So, I think I need to give it a try again. Thanks.

Also found that Titanium Backup has bunch of market related functions. I'm a noob to the app, but if I find anything to solve my problem, I'll post it here.

[Q] Websites forcing app install directly from Play store

Hi everyone,
I had a headache yesterday with an app called Zombie tsunami, from time to time it started downloading directly from the Play store without even asking me, I had to clear Chrome data to get rid of it, maybe some javascript, that started this process automatically, clearing cache wasn't enough... I don't remember the website I browsed, but it really suck, I have a Nexus 4 on 4.4.2 Stock.
Did anyone else had a problem like that?
Is there a way to prevent this?

Uninstall the application! Or change "permissions" or use a "firewall" to block internet access.
I did it

I did that, but after I uninstalled, once in a while it started downloading and the notification icon appear, I noticed some sites were showing a confirm dialog to download mobogenie, and this zombie tsunami is also from a mobogenie company.

try this
goto settings\appplication manager\search for your browser/ there you scroll down u can see (clear defaults) click and give ok
now try it
hit thanks if i helped you

[HELP] Google Play stuck at "Downloading..."

It happened suddenly, I didn't do anything that could've lead to this. To solve this I tried deleting app data of Google Play and Download Manager, I even tried removing and adding my account again, none of that helped. Any other ways to fix this?
Did you check that the Play Store app has permission (in tablet Settings>Apps) to access Storage? This is often the case for apps handing when trying to download.

Yes it has, I did not edit any app permissions at all
Problem solved - it was due to a bug in firewall application I use, problem was fixed immediately after fully disabling the firewall...

Try to re-initialize it...?
I might try Uninstalling it, rebooting, and Re-Installing it and seeing if that doesn't get it to work. If that doesn't work, I might try an older version and see if it's a new version issue -- old versions found at APK Mirror...
Just some ideas...
Do you have pi-hole or any other DNS blocking setup in your network?
Try backup with no wifi connected and see if its is starting.

Yes, the Google One app. You've even tried previous versions?
I might try what AceTrader suggested and see if it isn't a connection issue; use your cell data versus wifi -- in case something on your wifi/service provider may be stopping it.
If that doesn't work, maybe it's a Google Account issue and, only if you wish to go drastic enough, try and re-initialize the account associated -- I would imagine removing the account, force-closing the Google One app, clearing data, launching the app, and it will most likely ask to re-sign in to the account.
Thinking on this, if there is a way to delete any Google One backup data; maybe the existing data is interfering somehow...
gain, just some ideas... hope something gets it to work!

I've already deactivated vpn, alternative dns, tried Google Vpn, and mobile data.It manages to back up only one app.

I don't think you'll lose the apps installed, but your account will be signed out of them (only Google apps and apps you used Google sign-in protocol) and you might be required to sign back in when you launch them again. I doubt you'll lose any data or settings though...
But I can't be 100% certain as I don't know all of your set up.
Today it blocks at 50%.
