[A] Google play "error processing purchase" - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Can't download free or already purchased apps? Seems to be happening more frequently since we've had ics roms to flash on our skyrockets. Go to manage apps > all > Google play store, clear data and uninstall updates. Then go to Google services framework and clear data. Then reboot and sign in to Google play store again.
I found this solution by searching, but many more of the posts were people reporting the problem over and over, and the solution was kind of buried beneath the cries for help.

good job though.

I tried your method for my issue and it didn't help so I'll challenge you solving mine.
I cant download apps using data only using wifi, every time I try I get a 404 error.

Heh.. that's an issue alright. I've found myself throttled as of today so I'm also having much more success with wifi than the mobile network... but I'm not getting 404 errors, just maliciously slow connections.. the closest guess I can venture is to look in settings > more > mobile networks > access point names > reset to default apns. Either that or maybe flash a different radio. Is the store the only place you're getting errors?

Ye rest of the data usage works fine even while tethering. Just to mention I used lcd modder pro fix on the market but I never heard anyone else with this bug.
I had to set the apn manually anyway because the default one from my providers makes 2 profiles 1 for internet and 1 for mms and the phone cant really handle it so I had to combine them.

Same result with the internet profile?
Maybe uninstall store, remove Google account from device, reinstall store and sign in anew with the account? If that doesn't work, I'd venture to say it may be a problem with your provider. Unless you know people on the same provider without the problem...

Considering I'm usually around wifi it never bothered me so much and until theres an offical 4.0.3 I'm probably not gonna flash any new rom. I'll just wait for the next rom flash and see how it is. Doubt its the provider because my brother has the international GSII and I haven't heard him complain about this issue.
Thanks for trying to help anyway

Chrome2phone not working

Anyone getting "error unable to connect " message? I'm running CM7, getting no connection.

I think they made some change where you can't use Google accounts that have apps on it. I was getting the same thing, so I tired my junk gmail account and it worked, but I stopped using it because of this as I have one main account for everything on my comp/phone/tab. I wonder if this change was implemented in the last app update and if we find an older version, it would work again...

Working perfectly here on stock - no issues. Seems to be a CM7 issue.

I think so too - it always worked just fine for me but now (on CM7) I get the same error.
It can be a little finicky as times. You will need to log out and in until it starts working. I flash roms a lot and have to continually fix this. I do use it with firefox, though. Not chrome.

Chrome2Phone still not sorted
I have been doing a lot of research on this Chrome 2 Phone problem.
This problem will hit all of us who root our phones and regularly update to the newest update.
Each time you change you ROM and install Chrome2Phone it adds an ID to your Google account to push the messages. When your account is filled you will get a message saying "unable to connect". Google are the only ones who can sort this problem out as they need to reset the counter on your account.
The workaround is to create another Google account (or if you have a secondary account) and associate Chrome2Phone with that account.

Lots of Samsung Galaxy Nexus users in South Africa experiencing the exact same issue that images on the Play Store doesn't load/show when using Vodacom's 3G network, but everything seems to be fine on WiFi.
Have a look at your APN settings, the Default Vodacom APN comes with a proxy, once that was removed the images started to load.
SOLUTION
@Kubent
@Fritsa.Viljoen
@Fritsa.Viljoen, Great, thank you for the solution.

IT WORKED
My service provider is Vodacom. This is what I did and it worked.
Settings>More...>Mobile networks>Access Point Names(APN)>Internet.Vodacom>Proxy>Delete Proxy using backspace>OK> KABOOM it works (Thanks to Fritsa.Viljoen

Firstly, turn on yr wifi. Let it connect to yr SSID or wifi network. Long press over it. U can find it in yr wifi settings. After long pressing over the name of wifi or also known as SSID;
Go to: modify network config.
Click on: show advanced options.
Scroll down n change IP settings field from DHCP to STATIC.
Scroll down n go to DNS 1 n DNS 2 fields only.
Change it.
DNS1: 8.8.8.8
DNS2: 4.4.4.4
save it.
Note: Do not change any other fields.
If it didn't work, don't change DNS1 and change DNS2 to 8.8.8.8
and save it.
Additionally, u can change it directly from your router' s DHCP settings.
I hope it will definitely fix yr problem. Enjoy.

[Q] Purchased apps now gone after upgrade to cm9

I just flashed my ROM to cm9 from cm7 and installed the google apps package.
When I log in open Android Play (same account), and go my My Apps, all my previously downloaded apps and purchases are there still there, but none of them say 'PURCHASED'. They now list the purchase price of the app. Essentially, it's not recognizing I purchased any of my apps.
Can anyone tell me why this is happening?
EDIT: If I go on my computer and visit https://play.google.com/store, My purchased library still exists and I am able to install it via send to phone.
So really, it's a matter of inconvenience.
I read an Engadget article saying this is happening to a ton of people and Google is aware and working to rectify it.

Try going to manage apps and deleting app data for play store. That has worked for me in the past.
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA
Yes Google is aware of this and best thing to do log out your gmail account clear data then reopen/sign back in. But if that doesn't help you'll have wait till Google updates

It seems to have fixed itself. Maybe there was just some server delay recognizing my phone.

We’ve received reports that some users are getting “Error processing purchase” while trying to download free apps. If you’re getting “Error processing purchase” even though you’re not trying to buy anything, that is characteristic of this known issue.
We’re currently investigating a more permanent solution, but in the meantime, please try following these steps - this workaround has resolved the issues for many of our users:
Navigate to Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage applications
Navigate to the “All” section
Scroll down to find an app called Google Services Framework
Select Google Services Framework, then tap Clear cache and Clear data

[Q] Can't install Apps from Play website

I can't install apps using the website for Play Store. It lists two devices for my phone, one with an unknown last used date and the other from months ago. I know I have multiple listings due to ROMs, had cleaned a lot out.
Google Services seems to be fine, the 'locate device' and ring works.
SCH-i535
LiquidSmooth v2.7
Any ideas on how to fix, or how to reset the relationship between the store and device?
Is the app compatible with the device?
Is the device connected to your Google account?
Sorry for the dumb questions

Yes, and occurs for any app.
I don't get an error or any sign that there is something wrong other than I don't get the status bar icon show up and start downloading.
Yes. However there is a relationship issue. Bringing up "my apps" on the website gives a much different listing (old apps that were uninstalled) that what is installed and what is listed through the play app.
Also rooted and boot unlocked if not obvious by the ROM.

My best suggestion is to clear data and cache for the play store app in settings

Got it working.
Clearing the cache and data didn't do it, and thankfully didn't seem to even affect it (accounts and settings were all the same when I opened it back up).
I went back into the website's devices section and to settings. For some reason the actual device wasn't checked to show in the app lists; what I thought was a current was from an old flash.
Checked it show be visible, and got rid of the others. All is fine now, and explains why device locate worked as well. Although I don't know why an old phone that does work does't show in the list for locate but does for apps; hasn't been on in just over a year so google might have a timeout for something like that.
marked your first post with a thanks for the promptness and trying.
