[Q] Question about this and if someone can expain this to me - General Questions and Answers

Hello all I am on a sm-n900v Galaxy Note 3 32gb on Stock Android 4.4.2 with towelroot, and I came across this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/mod-pictures2sd-v1-0-6-makes-camera-t2408880 and I do have some questions my first one is does anyone have an knowledge if this is working on 4.4.2 and do I need to install the rom version for this to work along with the xposed framework or what. Any guidance I can be given would be great about this thank you.

I think it might work, no harm in trying it out and seeing?
Also I think you will get more meaningful replies if you just post your question on that same thread

I will give that a try thank you.

Hi,
to install CWM Recovery and root the tab, you can follow these instructions (point A) : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1722745
Then if you want to install a custom rom, follow these instruction (this is for CyanogenMod 10.1 but I think it is the same way to install other roms) : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2052290

Are you purchasing new ? Or are getting this second hand ? The only reason I ask is because 4.2.1 is not the "stock" software at this time.
Mine came stock with 4.0.4, and I have read that they are now shipping with 4.1.1 installed
The only 4.2.1 version currently out is the custom CyanogenMod 10.1 ROM.
May just be a typo on your original post - but figured I would ask just in case

yep your right its 4.1.many thanks for all your imput everyone very greatfull
Change the title of your thread to reflect your question. This will help others in your situation to quickly find and learn from your post, in turn hopefully preventing more 'how do I root/flash' threads.

[Q] Noob Question regarding rooting samsung s3 running 4.3 !

Hello everyone !
So I am new here so please forgive me if this question has already been asked. My samsung s3 SGH-I747M is running the new android 4.3. I was wondering if I can root this at this given moment ? Also for most of the methods I could find online, they all assume that I am running android 4.1.2. Does it matter what os I am when rooting ? Or can I goahead and use the methods for os 4.1.2 despite running 4.3. If not, could someone please direct me to a guide for rooting an s3 SGH-I747M running android 4.3 ? Thanks !

Though the above link talks about i9300, I think u can give it a look. Below is the link where CF-Auto-Root is included for ur model.
http://autoroot.chainfire.eu/
Anyway's am just suggesting a link, not that am an expert
I would highly doubt the ROM version matters. This has more to do with much lower-level code, so unless the S3 had significant hardware revisions between i9300 releases, everything is the same.
Do you have a computer with Windows 7 or older?
If s, I would try using CASUAL. You literally plug in the phone and click a button.

This does NOT work on Windows 8 or above.
thanks for all your help guys ! I'll def try it out and let you guys know how it goes.
And I have windows 8 :/

[Completed] [Q] root,custom roms,recovery for the zte z730 t-mobile

Hey guys and gals so i have a ZTE Z730 t-mobile i successfully rooted the phone and it also installed CWM v6.0.5. Here's my issue other than im a complete newbie, i downloaded rom MGR and it was not compatible with that version of CWM. Im guessing that there arent any custom roms out for this yet so my question is can i use a different recovery so i can flash custom roms if so what and where can i find these like i said im just starting out and want to learn all that is possible about flashing roms and such for android not sure where to start i really dont want to use the same root method because of the fact that it automatically puts the cwm v6.0.5.0 on it and i cant do anything with it or can i ? well i hope someone can reach out and point me in the rite direction it would be greatly appreciated and thank you ahead of time be well billy (a desperate newbie).
Just a side note that rooted z730 i had i tried to uninstall the cwm and failed miserably so that phone lies in the newbie android user graveyard i actually just purchased another today.:fingers-crossed:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Unfortunately if there are no ROMs available for your device no amount of changing recovery will be able to fix that. You can only flash ROMs that were developed for your device, and if none of those actually exist, you're fresh out of luck. But, if you have root you can still customise your stock ROM a bit by using Xposed Framework:
Xposed - General info, versions & changelog
And you'll find an entire section of XDA dedicated to compatible Xposed Framework modules:
Xposed Framework Modules
So I'd suggest you do some looking around there and start customising your device.
Good luck!
Very helpful a huge thank you

[Completed] Installable 64 bit deodexed Lollipop rom.

Hi, I've been trying to successfully deodex and install the rom on my HTC One M9 since I got it at the end of March without any luck. I think I have successfully deodexed it, but I haven't been able to install it on my phone to be sure. I've tried every method I've been able to find regarding this procedure, (with the exception of using Linux) but I haven't found anything specific to 64 bit Lollipop or the M9 in Windows. Actually I think I did find a thread that gave instructions on how to push a deodexed rom and delete the odex, but I can't seem to find it again since I was able to deodex it. Anyway what I really want to do is make a Installable zip. Is there someone who's had success with this that could point me in the right direction or could help me with this? If not then I guess I will have to learn Linux and try one of those methods before I ask again.
I Truly Enjoy XDA-Developers with this Fabulous HTC One M9
No one? Really disappointed. I thought someone who knows how to do this would help out. Maybe no one who knows how to do this has seen this post. Anyway I hope that is the case. I would hate to think that someone would let me try outdated processes that could potentially damage my phone instead of helping me with this. I know that there are several devs out there that knows how to do this. All good.
Cheers!

[Completed] N910GDTU1BOC5 deodex

Hi all,
I have an Australian Galaxy Note 4 with N910GDTU1BOC5 firmware, rooted, TWRP recovery, Touchwiz, Lollipop 5.01.
I have been searching for a way to get Xposed Framework running for months but no luck. I really want to stick with Touchwiz and I don't want to consider CWM or other roms (I know CWM is great because I tried it, but it's just not for me).
For the life of me I can't find a deodexed Touchwiz rom I can download and the idea of creating my own deodexed rom is over my head.
I have recently read that some Australian users have successfully flashed Indian roms because the hardware is the same, but I still cannot find a deodexed rom to download for this firmware.
I know I must be doing something wrong or searching for the wrong stuff. Can someone please point me in the right direction or share a link?
I'm sure other Aussie Note 4 users must have the same problems. If I could find a solution I'd be happy to share or host a rom for others to download.
Thanks in advance for any positive feedback
