[mod][launcher] Modified TouchWiz Launcher (ALL ROMS)

This is a modified version of the TouchWiz launcher.
Features:
-5 column app drawer
-Transparent app drawer background
-No colored icon backdrops in the app drawer
-No icon label backgrounds (Galaxy S II style)
Instructions:
Warning: you should install another launcher prior to installing this in case something goes wrong.
1. I recommend using Root Explorer for this process, but if you're an experienced user then you can probably think of several other methods.
2. In /system/app, rename TouchWiz30Launcher.apk and TouchWiz30Launcher.odex to TouchWiz30Launcher.apk.bak and TouchWiz30Launcher.odex.bak. (IF DEODEXED... GUESS WHAT!? )
3. Copy this new TouchWiz30Launcher.apk into /system/app.
4. Set permissions of the new TouchWiz30Launcher.apk to rw-r--r--.
5. You may need to reboot, but probably not.
6. Enjoy!
*TIP* move the drawer launcher by: opening your drawer > menu > view type > customizable grid > menu again > edit > then you can tap and hold to drag around the app icons, including those on the launcher tray.

Do not download! This will change your launcher yes but when you want to mod back to another launcher it won't let you... I ran this then tried to go back to TW4.0 by white but no good

Ummm... Take the.bak off the old tw files and delete what you got from me!

right on. Im running aerodkngs gb theme right now with a gb launcher. Ill install this again when i get home tonight and put up some more! ...interested in breaking open the apk on the other. Might have some juicy goodness for us!!!

I like the mod I'm using the only thing I dont like is the auto landscape. I like the fact that I can set a default home on it. Basically what I'm interested in is a touchwiz with a set default home, transparent app drawer background and No colored icon backdrops in the app drawer. If you can make possible I would greatly appreciate it.

Awesome. Im working on porting a rom or at least a blue hobeycombish theme today. What you mention shouldnt be...too...hard. Will keep u posted, chadster!

check the link i posted. the dev released the source codefor the mod he did cause he no longer support it.

in additon 4 icon tray cause i know you have the 5 icon tray . i just want to keep it close to stock without the iphone look.

My copy of root explorer doesn't have a "rename" function and I can't figure out how to set permissions. My phone is using the KH2 deodexed build. Did root explorer change for gingerbread?

Iida home launcher. Really nice

Here is the iida home launcher along with screenshots and a flashable zip file via cwm. Works like a charm. Got the file from x10 forums so credits go to scoobysnacks for posting it.
Installation: 1.Download file in your sdcard
2.Backup current rom
3.Backup your gallery and then delete gallery 3d app from system folder
4.Reboot into recovery and flash zip
5.Restore your gallery after first boot up
6.Enjoy

It is ultra smooth you have 1 screen with your wallpaper and the widgets you want to put on which is scrollable down to infinity so you can have as many of them you want. By sliding sideways you get your second screen also scrollable down to infinity which has tiles like you see in the pics for any app that supports it(there are quite a few included native to the launcher) and all your apps listed in categories also in tiles which you can move and arrange as you wish. There are some themes if you google them also. Important step for the installation is to remove gallery from o3d before installing (back it up if you want) and reinstall it after booting up with iida launcher or the gallery won't work. Of course you still have lghome so you can switch between them at will.

Crap means it is in someway not good m8. Either non functioning or full of bugs or something. That you didn't like it yourself doesn't make it a crap. What i mean is it IS working so if you use it or not is another totally different thing...

[APP]TWLauncher with alphabetical sort in app drawer/stock at&t note wallpapers

Attached are stock deodexed TWLauncher from ATT Note and new stock wallpapers. This TWLauncher gives you the option to sort contents alphabetically in app drawer.
Note:
1. I have tested it on XXLA6. However I think it should work on other deodexed GB firmwares.
2. To get it to work on odexed GB firmware you need to backup and delete Touchwiz30Launcher.odex. Please dont try this if you do not know what you are doing.
How to install?
1. Download and install another launcher from market (maybe Go Launhcer?, just in case something goes wrong you can revert).
2. Do not set any launcher as default. Backup Touchwiz30Launcher.apk from system/app to your SD card.
3. Use root explorer or similar to add this apk to system/app folder. (It will replace existing apk)
4. Reboot. You should now have new launcher (if you experiece FC's clear data for TWLaunhcer from settings)

Played nice with stock xxlb1.deleted odex and finally i have short order.

Wallpaper resize fix for UCLE2 ICS Leak

OK if you are having issues resizing the wallpaper in the gallery that came with the new ICS leak then I've got a fix for you. I tried changing the code of the gallary3d apk in both ucle2 ics and 2.3.5 gingerbread with no success. So I found a gallary apk file on the net for android stripped the code made some minor tweaks installed and bam I could resize wallpaper again. OK let me give you some info you need to know...
First you will need the apk file from the link below. And you may want to download apex launcher from the market and here is why...
1. Using Apex launcher you have the ability to resize wallper and wallpaper scrolls again as you flip thru home screens. Apex launcher is a free download from the Google play store.
2. With stock touchwiz launcher that came on the phone after you install the apk file below you will have the ability to resize wallpaper only the scrolling wallpaper as you flip thru home screens still does not work in touchwiz and since I don't use touchwiz I'm not gonna try to make it cause touchwiz sucks anyway.
3. With go launcher, tw launcher, MX home and other launchers on the play store I have no idea. Untested on launchers other than those listed above. So try if you want and report if it works on other launchers if you want.
I have tested this on my skyrocket and it is working. Also tested it on my wife's Samsung INFUSE 4G running gingerbread and it fixed her wallpaper resizing issue to. Also fixes wallpaper scroll on the Infuse using touchwiz and go launchers but that was on the Infuse only. WALLPAPER SCROLL DOES NOT WORK USING TOUCHWIZ ON THE SKYROCKET WALLPAPER RESIZE ONLY UNLESS YOU USE APEX LAUNCHER. Just wanted to say that again so I don't get 1000 messages saying my wallpaper still won't scroll using stock launcher.
Now one more thing if you install the apk below like normal just open and install and you still have a problem resizing wallpaper then try this... you must be rooted and have an app installed that lets you get to the root folders. I use rom tool box lite free from Google play but you can use whatever root file explorer you choose. Open up root explorer find the apk you downloaded below and copy it. Then navigate to the system/app folder and paste it there. Use rom manager also free from Google play to fix permissions reboot and it should work. But try the regular install method first. As I said this is working for me on both the new ics leak on my skyrocket and on gingerbread on the Samsung infuse...

I'm using Apex Launcher, not rooted, and ran this apk and wallpaper is still not sizable. Is this for rooted users only?
Edit: Just saw in the last paragraph must be rooted. Play on players.

Transparent accuweather widget [11/4/13]

Here's a apk for a 100% transparent accuweather widget. It still has the animations cloud, rain, sun and star effects so that's pretty neat. I'm pretty sure you have to be rooted to install this but then again I never tried installing it unrooted. I used ES file Explorer to install the apk into device/system/apps. Make sure to make a copy of your stock accuweather and odex file before you delete them just incase you don't like the transparent widget. Delete the stock accuweather widget and odex then replace it with the transparent accuweather apk in system apps then reboot. After reboot you will have to go back into your widgets and pull the new transparent widget back to a main page. I've never tried having the stock apk installer install the app so I don't think I would try that unless you don't mind resetting up your phone if it doesn't work. Install this at your own risk and I'm not responsible if you mess up your phone.

Did you remove the original accuwather2013 apk and odex files?
This zip I believe is for deodexed rom so if your rom still odex,
go to system/app/accuweather2013.odex, delete it.
and delete it

Just in case anyone is wondering. Yes you can flash this with ss. Just don't reboot just power the phone off and back on to avoid issues

The second APK the deviant one doesn't have the border, It says that right in the OP. The night time mode will have a tint to the whole widget though.

I believe it worked on the stock TMO rom, its been along time since I ran a stock rom so I don't really remember. I know it worked on ATT stock rooted odexed rom. Make a copy of your stock accuweather and odex file just in case it doesn't work but Im sure it will work.
