None of the RUU's there are compatible with his phone, he has the Evita_utl, which is the middle eastern variant. Running a standard Evita RUU will brick his device. He's s-on anyway so luckily none of them will even initiate. Maybe take some care when giving advice, had he been s-off your advice would have caused a brick.

There are no RUU's for your phone. Do not attempt to run any of the RUU's that the other member linked you to, they will brick your device if they succeed.
When you flashed the ROM, did you also flash the boot.img via fastboot afterwards? You need to do that because you're s-on.

Hi
My new Phone was working fine until i decided to S Off and update the firmware. It crashed while updating the new released firmware.
First it would hang during at the beat sensation logo and i have read and tried all sort of firmware but havent been successfull.
I can get into fasboot and recovery that all. And i think i have locked the boot loader again.
I've been reading and downloading almost every rom.firmware etc for the past 14hrs
please find screenshot of fasboot. I would really appreciate if someone could guide me to get the phone back running
Thanks

Your phone is not bricked. do the following fastboot command:
fastboot getvar all
then copy the information here excluding IMEI and serial no.
Also copy out the text from your hboot into a post

No need to unlock the bootloader for flashing firmware.. Just get the 3.33 universal firmware and try it.. If the bootloader didn't found it then the below way
Copy the PG58IMG.zip file to the adb folder
Then these commands one by one
fastboot erase cache (if failed ignore it)
fastboot oem rebootRUU (black screen with silver htc)
fastboot flash zip PG58IMG.zip (post the output of this command if failed)
fastboot reboot-bootloader (reboots to bootloader)

Hang on a minute...
First boot can sometimes take 5 minutes +
Are you SURE it is hanging/crashing?
Just try waiting. If you are flashing correct RUU and everything goes OK, ie is successful, then it simply HAS to boot (unless you have an internal fault.

Ok i will try again and wait longer. Is there a way to go back to the stock rom and firmware. i think when i had the phone it was on 1.17 firmware and 2.34 rom if i can remember
yes you need to download the original RUU and run it. It is a good idea to keep your RUU saved on your computer incase you ever need to use them. You will lose custom recovery when you run RUU if memory serves

I apologize greatly if I can not find this anywhere on the forums. I have access to a Linux box if that helps. I am trying to just get back to at&t bloatware rom.
You could just get s-off so then you can run an RUU without worrying. S-off thread is here.

I found my RUU and got the Rom_01.zip and Rom_02.zip
Rom_02.zip - SFX ZIP archive, unpacked size 1,680,452,716 bytes
that file has boot in there and recovery could I just flash that zip and be ok?

How did you retrieve those zips from an RUU? An RUU is an exe file.
And why did you even do that? I gave you the options you should try.

I would NOT mess with it. Both the Jellybean RUU and OTA will brick the phone, so its not exclusive to the RUU, and running the extracted file may still brick you.
The consequences are catastrophic (a true brick, only fixable by JTAG), so its not worth the risk when easy and low risk options exist. Either just S-off (as previously suggested) or another option is to change the CID back to your proper carriers ID.
I unencrypted them and extracted them. In regards to S-off I believe I have it except my phone won't run the SuperSU.zip file, I have Tampered and Unlocked on my bootloader screen.

Ok, now you can run an RUU to get back to stock. Don't mess with it though, just run the exe program.

The radio was updated, but hboot did not. My guess, is that you did not pick the option in AROMA to update hboot. You can just flash again, and pick the option to flash hboot.

I have some questions about this too , I running cleanrom , if I flash turge 's firmware ,that's the tmobile version right , is there any way to revert back to the att version( 3.18 hboot 2.14, my current) to return to stock

Yes, you can always revert hboot with s-off (which is required to run Turge's firmware update, anyway).
But unless you want to run an AOSP ROM that does not support hboot 2.15, there shouldn't be any reason to revert hboot.

Thanks for the info. Turges zip wouldn't flash at all for me tried 20 times. So i got carls twrp zip and it worked installed all but the kernal for fw update since im running elementalx on my viperxl rom. it updated everything but htboot. will this be a problem since im on an att phone or will this be okay.. also reflashed carls same as above still on 2.14 hboot.

Maybe, maybe not. Are you getting any signal issues or random reboots? If not, then the radio and other modules alone may have taken care of this. Or if you never had these problems to begin with, it might just not apply to you (not everyone gets these issues).
Being AT&T doesn't have any effect on what hboot you should have (2.14 versus 2.15). 2.15 is not even an official hboot version for AT&T yet anyway (might be once they release Sense 5 officially, or they might get their own hboot version).
I don't foresee to many problems being on hboot 2.14, as long as your phone is operating correctly. The only thing I can think of, is if AOSP devs decide in the future they want to force everyone to hboot 2.15 like they did with 2.14. If that happens, you won't be able to flash those ROMs, or you would have to find some way to upgrade hboot.

Hiya,
I'm on T-Mobile, was stuck on bootloader for 2 weeks with security warning and triangles in the corners this saved me (Saved to my dropbox incase I messed it up again).

Failing that you need to create a gold card I think, which I recall was tricky with a bricked phone but I am a novice

[HELP] Removing carrier branding, S-OFF and rooting

Hey guys.
I recently got a second-hand HTC One S (I think its the S3 model, since it says "Dual Core 1.5Ghz" in the settings or something like that) and it has the Vodafone carrier branding. I'm trying to remove it, root it and S-OFF it, but I'm new to HTC stuff (I'm used to mess with Motorola phones... way more easy) and it is not working.
I've already unlocked my bootloader and tried to root using superoot, but its stuck on "this build is for development purposes only" screen. Also, moonshine S-OFF is not compatible with my build (3.16.111.16), so I can't S-OFF it (whatever S-OFF means).
Can somebody help me? I've read a lot of threads, but none were useful enough
(Also, I can't get the fastboot of this phone to work on Windows 10, not even after following many tutorials).
Thanks in advance!

No one?
Ok, so if anyone ever needs this: I ended up finding that my model has the S4 processor when I tried to install TWRP. Then I installed CyanogenMod and managed to change the CID by hex-editing one partition (you can find it on the general section, I believe). After that, I had to revert back to stock (since camera doesn't worked for me on CM12), but since I had changed the CID, now I could flash any ville RUU!
Thanks mate for helping us
I have almost the same problem. Phone came to me with original Locked Bootloader and S-ON, and I hurried to install a custom ROM to upgrade the Android from original 4.1.2 to a Custom ROM 5.1 ( Candy one ), but I just unlocked bootloader and went immediately at the procedure of flashing Candy custom ZIP firmware and then GAPPS but after writing those 2 zips now my phone hangs at a black screen and is not booting.
Priot to writing those ZIPs I tried to S-OFF using Rumrunner, but it failed so I thought that it is not needed and I believed that just unlocking bootloader and writing Custom ROM like in HTC m7 and M8 that I have done some will work. But seems I am stuck now at S-ON and my phone doesn't boot, as I can not find a newer or same firmware version that the phone had:

that I downloaded two times at Androidruu, but it is corrupted as a file, but I think also that I can not write that firmware as it is lower version than my phone had when it was working.
Also I think that I have S4 because when it was working I checked with an application that somebody said on this forum and it was adequate for S4
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks
