Final Dev Android L Issues - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I just flashed the latest android developer build ( my first android l experience)
-no way to root
-my mtp does not work, so I have no way to transfer files from pc to phone
-my playstore does not recognize previously purchased apps (wants me to rebuy them even though im selecting the correct google account )
Am I the only one experiencing these issues?

does AT&T MMS work? this was broken in the previous preview build

Problem with external storage...i can put files there....through pc through donwload or airdroid....

Until L is officially released, we're using the below thread

[Q] Google Now Launcher not compatible?

Just got my 64G yesterday. LOVING it. Great to be back on CM since I screwed myself over with my SCH-i535.
I really enjoy the Google Now Launcher. Went to install it and its not compatible with the phone? I had run it on my SCH-i535 running CM11.
Is there something I need to do or a way to get it installed?
I have NOT rooted yet nor done anything extra. I am running stock CM11S on the phone so far.
Thanks everyone.

However, for the One we only need the GoogleHome.apk
I made a write up on the OnePlus forums for new users, giving credit to the XDA post.

If it's like any other 4.4.x ROM, you just need to download the apk and install it as a normal app via any file manager (e.g. ES) - no special fiddling required!
Here's the apk - http://d-h.st/Njr
Just an easier solution to your question
The Google now launcher is technically only for nexus and gpe devices. So any device that's not one of those shows as incompatible in the Google play store. You however install the apk on any device, but you won't get updates from the play store. When new versions come out, you'll have to download updated apks.

[Question] How can i get Android L apps on non-rooted 4.4.4 Nexus 5 ?

How can i get Android L apps on non-rooted 4.4.4 Nexus 5? Is that possible? I tried few keyboard .apk's but they dont work. I havent tried anything else yet, does something work from L on non-rooted 4.4.4 ?
Ps. And i will not root, i am tring to get these without rooting on my phone. Is that possible without having to root? Any skins maybe somewhere? That would do i guess for a while :/
why would you need root to install apps? do you know what root is? all root is is the permission to change whatever files or anything you want in the system. apps dont need it to install. just download them and install like any other app.
We will get Android L ota nearly (I think)

Recently I've been thinking the WiFi and BT issue on my rk3188 board (apart from it being Au not the other versions of the dual purpose chip rk903) is that it only happens if rooted so do they have a tamper trigger?
Other thing was android adb was installed and it was comming up on PC as rockusb device but batch tools wasn't recognising it was even corrected after doing everything the net said about it (modding infs etc) the way I got it to recognise is by booting it to download via reboot menu that I had found on oma s rk30 root project not sure who credits go to on it so just stating where I got it

Use the batch tool on my drive works wonders 23/7

Play store download progress

It has been noted that in all Android one devices including second generation Android one phones, when you download any app it won't show any download progress whereas when I installed cyanogenmod on my sparkle v it was showing the progress
If any one knows the reason please reply
Stock doesnt support it, you can't do anything unfortunately
