Issue with Bluetooth music when receiving call - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

When listening to music on Bluetooth. Receive a call and answer the call but there is still music playing in background of call. I'm on stock 38r no mods or tweaks.. Bare bone stock..any help will be appricated.

Bump, I have the same issue on 38r, specifically when using pocketcast app.

The Bluetooth when on a call randomly disconnects and then reconnects to the car while on a call. This never happened on 33, any one else have this issue too?

Did you try turning your bluetooth off and back on. That sounds like a glitch. It happens to me sometimes.

[Q] BT volume level starts off lower each time

Whenever I connect my phone to my car via BT and stream through Google Music, when I raise the volume on the phone, it always warns me playing at high volumes for long periods of time can hurt your ears. I hit OK and then it lets me raise the volume. My issue is each time I connect my phone to my car's BT, I have to keep doing this or the volume is so low, I have to turn my car stereo all the way up. Is there any work arounds or settings I might have missed? I am rooted and running xposed. Thanks.
I hope someone can find a tweak to turn this stupid message off! I can't really reakte to your issue but the pop up message is very annoying.

What u noticed though similar to ur issue is I do use BT headset at work so BT volume is around 70-75%. I then turn off BT headset before I get in my car, car connect a to BT and music starts playing, it is now playing at same BT volume setting I had for my headset, around 70-75%. I then have to manually up the volume on my device and get this annoying pop up.
It's either a kit Kat thing or M8 thing. Last device was HTC One X+ on Android 4.2.2 and device was smart enough to remember BT headset volume SEPERATE from BT music volume. It was smart enough to keep BT music volume at full at all times and BT headset volume at 75% at all times, never had to adjust!

Then again my last device was running a custom Rom so maybe the Rom developer was smarter then the device and made this tweak himself? Can't say for sure on that but know this is how it was.
This annoys me every time as well. I want BT volume to be max at all times no matter what
ok, so Im not the only one with noticing this. Well, I hope when s-off is achieved, ROM makers remove this dumb feature.
I believe you can thank the EU's "Health and Safety" group for that message. I have issues with it as well. My issue is that i use tasker to set the volumes for the car and other times but the message doesn't always pop up and tasker doesn't seem to complete the task until I find the message and say ok.
Sense Toolbox 6 is out with a beta rls and there was an option to remove the warning, but not sure if it will keep the levels high or not. havent had a chance to test yet
Just tested with sense toolbox 6 and now this has gone away. YaY!!!

[Q] Stock S5 L Call rejection triggers music player

Hey big brains. Need a little help.
Galaxy S5, completely stock, unrooted.
I have people who call me whom I don't want to speak to. The national do-not-call list is a joke. Using the stock call rejection list, every time the phone gets a phone call from someone on the list, it rejects the call just fine. But, then it opens the stock music player and then starts playing random sounds. This is most disconcerting at 3 am when this thing plays all my custom ring tones back to back to back, waking me up.
I searched the forums, found nothing relating to my issue. Has anyone else encountered this?
I tried disabling the stock music player as I use Google's Play Music app exclusively for songs and Ringdroid for custom ringtone playback. Thusly, the stock player can't be removed and can't be disabled without root. Not really trying to root the device as it's still under hardware warranty with Sprint and rooting would nullify that.
If no fix for this glitch, I would take suggestions for a call rejecting application, like Call Control as a workaround. Unfortunately at this time Call Control specifically does not compute with Android L. This was my workaround in 4.4.4.
Help???
I just rejected a call and no music app opened up

Not quite what I'm talking about. I have numbers on my auto reject list. When I get a call from one of those, it opens the music player.
NOT when I swipe the red arrow to not answer. Sorry for the confusion.
Ohh well let me check that then

After adding my wife to my call rejection list and calling myself from her phone it still didnt trigger the music app or any map for that matter. Confirmed that it does show as a rejected call in the call log as well.
I would Odin OA6 and see if that fixes your problem

Sound record and calls problem

Hi there!
Since this afternoon no one is able to listening me in the calls, but I can hear them. I installed a voice recorder and the sound is incredible low, only listen when my ear is right to the speaker.
But If I use the free hands mode people can hear me out, so what is going on? A mic is broken?
Broken os + AK kernel

I just had the same problem, look at this video and tries with the voice recorder. I have installed a version for CM12S whether the problem is hardware and I did the test with the voice recorder and it is even lower than in the video

Sound Problem - S7 exynos version

I just bought the galaxy s7 and it has some problems with the sound. It simply goes off for everything from music to calls to notifications. Headphones do not work either. A restart fixed it but who knows for how long. Do you think this is a software or a hardware problem? Did anyone else experience that issue?
Check the audio settings to see if everything is ok with the audio levels or if you accidentally muted it. If everything is ok there then it's probably a hardware issue.
Everything was ok with the sound volumes, I cheked it. I was thinking that is a software issue because it was solved by a simple restart. If it was a hardware issue shouldn't it be persistent? I am not any techinician it is just a stupid supposition.
Go to the dialer and press *#0*# then test the speaker, also try plugging in and out the headphones a couple times. Idk what could be wrong, maybe an app you installed, or a Bluetooth device you paired. If none of the above doesn't works then I would factory reset and see if that fixes it.

Oh just noticed that you said that the problem was solved after a restart, I thought you said that the restart temporarily fixes it and then it comes back. Well it was probably a one time glitch.
this happened a couple of times for me after using the Oculus with cardboard apps ( with package disabler ) costed me a missed work alarm once ... and no solution but a quick restart

How to increase Bluetooth volume?

I've a pair of Bose Bluetooth headphones but listening to Spotify the volume is very low. How can I increase it? I've rooted and magisk installed.

I've had the same issue when using Bluetooth headphones
You can try disabling Absolute volume in Developer Settings
spotify sometimes "normalizes" volume so it may be doing that also.
in spotify settings turn off that option

Get better headphones. Or try this;

I don't really use Spotify so this may not be accurate, my volume is about the same as my s9+ was over bt, but I installed ainur sauron mk3 and my headphones got a little bit louder.

I just checked my 7 pro, and it's disabled by default in developer mode.

I tried the "good old" OnePlus 5T "trick", unpair your headphones and repair them, this fixed my issue with my aire2's as the volume was really low, and when speaking on the phone, the sound from my mic was really noisy in the other end, so now everything runs perfect!
Volume In spotify
I was having the same problem and what fixed it for me was forgetting the device in Bluetooth settings, then reset the Bluetooth device. After I paired them back up the sound hurt my ears because it was turned all the way up lol
Use viper4androidfx ? Kind of a must have for audio anyway and you can manually adjust the output in db
Ah lol just noticed the thread is old af.. nvm then
I am having the same problem. Coming from Huawei Mate 20 X, the volume is too low. Even on maximum output (doesn't matter if absolute volume is enabled or not) the volume through my Sony WH1000-XM3 is one or two steps too low compared to the Huawei.
For listening at home it is fine but when out and about in busy city, it is quite annoying.
Any fix?
I'm also seeing the same issue coming from a Note 10+, I'd say this is around 20% lower volume in comparison.
