This happens on either roms, stock or cm7. So with the camera on and covered to show a black screen, I get this blue haze on the corners of my screen. The haze isn't present on the photo but I was wondering if anyone else is getting this haze. Is this normal?
Check out the attached photo and let me know your thoughts on this:
I can replicate this on mine running cm7. Iv noticed it before but never really thought it could be a bug or anything.

Yeah it doesn't bother me, but I wondered if there were others that had the same issue.
I noticed it on my camera the other day. It is definitely a bug.
Mine doesn't do this.

Hmm then maybe its just a cm7 bug. Muffin what are you running?

Any other cm7 users wanna chime in?
I'm getting it too. CM7 Build 26, running on Netarchy 1.3 @1ghz. It was hard to notice, but I think it might just be the camera itself. I'm thinking that anyone who says they're not getting it simply don't have their screens bright enough to notice it, or aren't covering the camera up enough. I've had digicams that do the same.
Happens on mine too. Stock 2.3.3 rooted. Screen brightness on 0%, 50%, and 100%.
It could be a bug, but I think it's just the low-light detection. So, that means it's software, not necessarily a bug, but just something that they overlooked.

I definitely don't have it, my screen is at 100% brightness and is laying on a flat surface. Even if I cover it with my finger I don't get this blue haze.
I have this issue on cm7 build 28

After placing the ICS through the ROM and other nexus BEAM, I have a bug that I will not know what u do to solve-I did a re install ODIN back by sticking my phone in 2.3.3, and in this nothing happened ...
I have tried other KERNELpara alé of GLaDOS .4 and 2.5 that of the user and in the same eugene .... I think we just have not had the bug with the kernel source and gigerbread ICS officer who had ...
Does anyone know a solution?

How can i do it?
I saw another forum that I go, there are more users to the ICS officer, with the same problem ...
Here is what I noticed, It does it on my phone to. Any app that does not run in the background when I lock the screen does that same flash, including just having the homescreen open. But, if I have a app that runs in the background when off, it does not happen, like using my tracks.
My initial thought of this is apps that go dormant when locking phone cause that screen flash during that go bye bye process.
I would like to see this fixed. This is just what I noticed, I could be way off track.

Brief Flash After The Screen Locks
Hey i did see this also but only when Live Wallpaper was on, Changed to standard Wallpaper all is good
I have this issue as well, very annoying! If I set governor to performance it stops doing it, but that drains my battery fast
This and poor usb file transfer speed are keeping me on GB.

Voodoo colour does not work on the i9023 sclcd, any other option?
Bumping this, its really getting on my nerves!!! Any fix for i9023 users without voodoo colour?
Please guys, any help with this, does it not bug anyone else?
This really bothers me too. The only thing I can find that stops the bug is turning off the animation in developer settings. I tried changing voodoo color but it still happens. I tried changing my governor but it still happens. I tried widget locker and new launchers but nothing fixes it I do miss the screen off animation.

Try flashing Eugene's kernel. It hasn't done it for me since I flashed his kernel
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using xda premium
Thanks Esteway.619, flashed Eugene's and it is much better, but still happens from time to time, guessing its a kernel problem then, it even happens with the stock one!
Has anyone worked out how to stop this from happening yet?
Bumping this because it's not solved yet.....
Try matrix kernel 14.5. It don't do it no more

Yeah, just set the Window Animation setting to 0x for now until Google fixes it in the next official ICS release.
Recently installed slim 4.2.2 build 7 official on my skyrocket. I really like it. One thing that seems a bit weird is that whenever the screen goes off, it takes a few seconds (about 3 to 4) to wake up again. Not a big deal if you are turning off the screen, but when the screen times out while reading a page, waiting a few seconds to wake it up again is a bit annoying. Is this a known issue? Are there any knobs in the settings or any other solution? Thanks.
its a known issue, i am having same issue in my4.1.1 too! screen takes 2 second to rewake ..
same issue in liquid smooth too

Just tried liquid smooth 2.9 and the same issue is there. It looks almost very similar to slimbean.
Switched back to cyanogen, and it is fine with no delay as it should be. However I now slightly miss the notification lights (which works on slim but not cyanogen) and also the option to turn off screen with the hardware keys.

Trying moretz now. The bln works. Thanks!
Apart from that, what user visible differences are there in this kernel?

Hi Everyone,
Just off the bat, this isn't a request for any "best" ROM, what I'm after is recommendations for some ROMs to test that meet the below general outline. Other threads I found through search are often too generic or not along the same criteria I'm after.
I'm a fairly experienced user who, after running many custom ROMs in the past, has been running stock ROM with a custom kernel and Xposed framework (Gravitybox) for a while now. I'd like a similar experience, but would like to see AOSP updates / bugfixes / performance tweak patches from CAF etc. While maintaining stock feel and compatibility (so not CM?). Also would like an easier upgrade path via flashing rather than rolling back to stock for OTA updates etc. Can flash my own bootloaders / radios when the time comes.
Since I use a custom kernel and Xposed for features I don't need any particular features so minimalist would be good. A lot of the ROMs often have their own custom settings managers etc which would be redundant for me. Not afraid to get my hands dirty adding/removing system apps to suit my needs etc.
Any recommendations on where to start? It would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
I would check out some of the roms on here labeled as AOSP, most of them, if not aiming to be next to pure stock are in early stages of development, so should see the latest fixes and updates added to them as time goes on.
Purity/PA might be up your alley.

I've run PA in the past, and found it to be too feature heavy/customized for what I'm after now, with PIE controls, DPI scaling, custom settings panels etc all included. I'll have a look at Purity, thanks.

aosp and caf dont go hand and hand. itll be either aosp or caf. and you never have to "roll back" to stock to get an update, never, there are multiple methods of upgrading without ever having to roll back(even on stock).
Another vote for Purity as it sounds like it would meet your requirements.
Slimkat runs very smoothly and has a "Black Out" feature that works very well and saves you a lot of battery by doing so. Plus its has a smaller DPI so it's gives your phone a new feel while still coming across as stock.

Yeah, it may on devices with AMOLED screens but not traditional LCDs.

Absolutely. AMOLED screens have LED pixels. This means each pixel is its own source of light and on pure black images, no light is needed so the pixels can be turned off.
LCD pixels do not give light. The they get their light from a light panel behind. This panel either gives out light or other doesn't. So whatever colour the pixel is, light still shines through - which is why we don't get pure black on our LCD.
Offtopic ... LED TV's do not have LED pixels. It's still an LCD display but instead of having a full panel create the light behind the display, it has an array of LEDs.

My mistake. Coming from a Moto X that was my biggest cheat on saving battery. Thanks for the heads up though.

Try out Elix-R from Hyperruner.. The base is stock, but with tweaks under the hood the ROM runs super-smooth and stable.. It has white-ui with Moonshine icons and a custom navigationbar.. ElementalX-Kernel and some other awesome stuff..

I would recommend cataclysm, it's a flash and forget ROM. Even tho the main thread has been closed due to people asking where Atlantis is, it's up to date and it is super stable and fast, I always return to cataclysm, because it has a nice amount of features yet it feels like stock.
With that in mind, I hope he returns when 4.4.3 gets out so we can be up to date haha.

So I have flashed CM12s lately and I'm happy but I do love boeffla kernel so I have flashed it too.
The problem is, the colors kinda mess up (yellow-ish extremely oversaturated screen)
I changed the color calibration and screen color settings to make it look more natural but it's just isn't the same.
Does anyone else has this problem or knows haw to fix it?
EDIT: Franco works, metalized doesn't.
