Hello,
my tablet has strange markings on back side. I didn't see those in other tablets in stores. Do You know what those mean? There is written "SM-P905_REV0.9_UT_PL" on back side on left corner.
Huh. I just noticed mine has the device number, IMEI, S/N and other codes on the back.
Not that one though. It looks like a product code.
The CE 0168 and the recycling icons are normal.

Here: (There's no such info on the picture, but it's there on mine in small white writing. Bought in Germany, so that might be the reason for the difference)

I've sold the 'fixed' phone and bought a non-fixed, geniune one (though also used).
The experienced fixers told me the lcd being put in place of originals, are not 10% compatiblewith stock ones, WM deals with this, but android does not.

There should be a sticker on the edge of the TF tablet that gives the serial number. The serial number starts with B40, B50, B60, etc. This is your revision number.
On the TF dock, the sticker is located on the edge of the dock near the touchpad. Again, it begins with B40, B50, etc.
Hope this helps.
Great! Thanks for answering. I already guessed that, but I want to be sure. Maybe this will help some others too.

Model Number?
I threw away the box and sticker a long time ago.
how can i find out the revision number (a.k.a model number), when the only thing i have now is the transformer tablet, and nothing else?

You removed the tiny little sticker next to the 40-pin connector? I don't see why you'd do such a thing, but that's the only place I know of it listed besides the box. There may be one internally, but you'd have to perform a teardown to find out.
oh, ok, i found the sticker
yea so i found out i have the B50 model.
what does that mean?
is mine not better than the b60 or b70 model?

It doesn't really mean anything. It means it was made earlier than 60s and 70s, but it doesn't mean that it's better or worse, necessarily. Some of the B70s have a new SBK, which is making rooting difficult, so I guess in that respect the B50s and 60s are better. Every TF is different, and the same, if you get my meaning.
Hey,
I have a nexus s i9020-t bought from the US, I currently use it here in india.
My phone has SMOLED screen but i am unable adjust the color tuning options in Voodoo control app or in CM9 device settings.
In Settings-->about phone--> It says under baseband 9023XXLI1.
I gave my phone for servicing in a service center here and they seem to have changed my baseband. Is there any way in which i can change it back?
I have tried flashing the Stock roms of 9020t etcc, Still my baseband shows as 9023XXLI1.
And i know that i have the 9020t because i bought it from a T-Mobile store in the US and it says in the back label behind the battery.
Also i can view the stock recovery in ICS which only 9020 devices can view as stock recovery cannot be viewed by the SCLCD 9023 devices.
So any help here? Should i use ODIN or something to restore? Any guides ??
Any help guys??
I am confused why you're giving us so much detail about your baseband when you're asking help on how to change the RGB values of your Nexus.
By the looks of it, you don't own the Nexus with the SAMOLED display. You have an LCD display. ( http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_google_nexus_s_i9023-3910.php )
sticker says 9020t that's samoled
did you mess wit hte sticker at all?
looks to be tampered with maybe peeled off a 9020t and stuck on a 9023
do this go into about phone, status and see if the IME matches the IME on the sticker

I am gonna talk to them now, But i realised something I can still see the stock ICS recovery( Which is only possible in a amoled device). In a 9023 sclcd you only see a blank screen.
So i just have a amoled screen without a proper display driver.
Guys,
My power button had spoilt, had given to a local shop for repair. That got fixed. but after I got the cell back, I am getting very poor to no reception at all. 3G is also not working. Tried everything, flashed a new rom (7.8) too. Still no fix.
Please help me, I dont want to change my phone
Update:
On changing mode to GSM all through Diagnostic app, I am not getting any network at al!!
BUMP! Please any suggestions
That might be the sign of poor re-assembly or that something has been affected in your phone.
Has the back plate of your phone also been changed? I got a cheap replacement for mine and with it I get 2 bars less than the original one.

Hey guys, what are some ways to check if a galaxy s7 is fake? I want to buy one on craigslist but I saw a video where some guy posted about a fake s7 from china and it looks so alike. Literally 1:1, so what are some ways to check if a Galaxy S7 is real? I know a few ways but would definitely like some input. I know you can boot it into recovery and if its a fake, usually it will have chinese letters. Also, if the device is locked then thats a good indicator that its real. Running antutu might not work for it because they made it so that the fake phones can produce fake results.

Search YouTube, there's videos on there comparing real vs fake s7's. Also checking the Android version In settings and software will usually give away a fake, it will still be lollipop software. Another way is rebooting into recovery, fakes will boot to a recovery screen with chinese or Japanese writing.

check this video out, it looks so similar to the real one that its hard to differentiate. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4o7aONAfX-I
As stated already, boot in to recovery mode and verify that it in fact says it's a G930 model.
I bought a fake and there are a few ways:
1. The box: the S7 has a nice flip open box. The fakes imitate last years' s6 box with the slide out
2. The screen: The S7 has a 5.1" AMOLED, the fakes have a 1280x720 LCD.
3. Click on any samsung app. The fakes don't have the correct apps installed
4. Reboot into download mode. The fakes have a test mode and no download mode
5. reset the phone. The fakes don't have the 10 screens of samsung/google logins before getting to the home screen.
6. Pull down the notifications. The real one has an arrow on the top right to edit the quicksettings.
7. Check the back of the phone. The bottom has writing below the glass

install this app from play store:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vndnguyen.phoneinfo&hl=en
and do this "Refurbishment check" if it says original it's ok if not = FAKE
good luck
safest way: call samsung and give them the imei. they will tell you if it is fake or not.
this is what i did when i bought mine and it was a very quick process.
you can check here :
http://imeidata.net/
Try enter in download mode and chek the model there.
This is a good video to watch, This person shows the main stuff
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzKnmffM2K4
simple ways to find out if a SG7 is a fake.
1.) go to the system about and click the software info android version and click it a few times
you will see a lollipop
2.) download a app that will tell you the cpu of the phone
3.) also a fake the back will come off as they have a ****ty battery
4.) the screen will look a bit off and when u press it you will see like a old calc looking liquid under it
5.) they mostly will be the FD model will 2 sim cards
6.) the phone weight is almost the same its about 20 grams off or so
7.) everything looks pretty dam good on the clone/fake/replica
8.) most will not even have a download mode
9.) recovery mode will be old
10.) the side edges cant be faked on the clone so that's a big give away
Best way is to download a app that can show you the processor the system has
I can tell you i seen some fakes that even look better then the one in that video
can you tell me a bit about how you came across it? Was something trying to sell it to you on craigslist/kijiji? did you report them to the police? what happened after you realized it was a fake?
