Until L is officially released, please post L questions in the dedicated thread:

As mentioned above please use the dedicated Android L thread, thanks.

Hello Nexus 5 Users.. I want to ask is there a TV Remote IR on Nexus 5?
Then it would possible to get a second battery on this device? Like ~3000Mah

While KitKat supports integrated system IR, the Nexus 5 does not have IR hardware; so no, you cannot use it as a standalone IR TV Remote without purchasing extra hardware.
And, as far as the second battery - the battery is not designed to be consumer 'replaceable'.
Anyone tried to connect their Nexus 5 to a MirrorLink device? Since LG is a member and the Nexus 4 was compatible I was hoping that carried forward for the N5. What about Miracast? I saw the option to share display wirelessly.
The Google Nexus 4 does not support Mirror Link as far as im aware ...don't think the Nexus 5 does either which is a real shame!

Thanks for the reply. I am getting my screen sharing solutions mixed up. Miracast was supported with the N4 and is on the N5 too. It does suck MirrorLink is not supported. Hopefully someone comes up with a solution to pass the touch interface through.

Just wanted to bump this thread to see if anyone has found a solution to getting the Nexus 5 to work with a MirrorLink device. My Google-fu hasn't turned up anything promising unfortunately....

Is anyone aware of any way of getting a Nexus 5 to work with mirror link?
Hi,
I have recently bought a Nexus 5, and I am looking for a way to stream, either the whole screen, or just videos/pictures.
The TV I am using is a Samsung UE46C6700 LED-TV, it is an internet TVand it has allshare.
I have not rooted my nexus 5 and also am not planning to do so as long as I still have guarantee
Please reply, thanks!
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 that I'd like to mirror to my LG Smart TV with Smartshare. My LG G3 does it easily as both devices have Smartshare. However, the LG TV is not found in the Samsung's scan for devices. Is mirroring possible between these devices as they are?
The answers I've found all say that a dongle or some hardware is necessary. However, all these responses are several years old and reference Android 4. My Tab is on 5.0.2. Is there some app or work around that would make these two units talk with out hardware?

My TV has miracast n TV mirroring my LG v10 used to work perfectly with my tv
Nougat broke this feature in virtually all phones, before I got my Xperia XZ I had a 5x and it was broke on it as well as soon as 7.0 came out. it was probably a push from google to get people to buy the chromecast. here is a guide on how to fix this and it works still in 7.1.1 on latest XZ fw.
