Hello,
I have spent the last day on getting the logs to identify what is the issue with my Nexus 4. I have logcat, dmesg and modem. I couldn't get any last_kmsg from the crashes, kept saying file doesn't exist, while after intentional normal reboot I was able to get the file without problems.
I failed to figure out the logs and would like to ask you for help. I understand that logcat and dmesg might be enough as the phone crashes on certain actions like taking a photo, connecting to wifi or mobile data, in google maps and a few more. It never crashes when plugged in.
Backstory: I dropped it once and have exchanged the screen to a new one. In the process I bent the battery slightly. Then it worked fine for some time but I would swear it stopped working after one of the updates.
I would like to know if the logs identify the battery or software as reasons for constant crashes, in which case I will wait for 4.5 or exchange the battery. if it is the screen I will most likely admit defeat and think about buying a new phone.

Howdy, y'all; trying to find information about my Monster M7 tablet.
I bought it last December when Walmart offered it for $100. Sounded like a good deal, considering the brand.
Like many others who bought one, my M7 has been problematic. After installing the latest firmware update from Monster (at the mymonstertablet.com/faq page), I'm now able to use all 16GB of installed memory (less that required by the O/S). OK; some progress.
After having purchased a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 (8" screen; I like it) lately for about the same price as the M7, I'll only use the M7 as a Chromecast controller, an OBD-II code reader, and to test EPUB docs that I develop. And maybe coupla apps before I completely forget how to build Java code.
However, until I solve the battery problem, it's mostly unusable. Even though the battery indicator shows fully charged, the M7 boots but only runs for coupla minutes before it quits. It runs correctly if a power adapter is connected to the microUSB socket.
I've read about /data/system/batterystats.bin, but this post indicates that deleting the file won't have the effect that some Android users think:
http://www.xda-developers.com/andro...-battery-stats-does-not-improve-battery-life/
Where should I post about this Monster M7 problem?
Thanks much.
Please note, if Battery continues to give trouble, deleting BatteryStats will not help. you have a defective battery.
Please post in Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting so that the right experts may be of help.

Thanks much for your reply. I'll repost at "Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting." I've filed a warranty claim with Monster. No response yet.
Need some advice.
I have a galaxy note 2, messing around with apk's (didn't check the source, i know. silly)
Suddenly phone says charging cable is being unplugged/plugged back in (power cable was firmly in, never had an issue before. not a problem with cable/connection)
then a weird 2 tone sound was playing now and then which i had never heard before.
So i assumed the worst and promptly used Backup and reset function.
All seemed well for hours on end until 20 minutes ago. When i was typing it suddenly became laggy, with user touch inputs ignored intermittently. Im assuming lag. But then all of a sudden i hear the same 2-tone noise again. -.-
since restarting the phone, all seems well again. but somethings wrong.
Keeping in mind i've owned this phone for about 2 years. never heard anything like it. Would you say its a virus, if so why didn't the "Backup and reset function" work?
I've since used avg and kaspersky free to no avail.
Hi,
Sounds like it could be a loose connection with your charger either from a bad cable or failing port on the device.
I would definitely ask for other opinions here though,

Good luck!

Thanks for opinion. Its not the same noise as plugging in the device the weird 2-tone noise also didn't correspond at the moment it disconnected/connected.
Ask in that thread then. Hopefully someone can help explain it. I doubt it's a virus though. ?
Thank you. Thread closed.
Hello,
I recently bought M8 and it took almost 4-5 hrs to fully charge and battery also didn't last that much not even half day.
and the shopkeeper told me it was original but after using it 2-3 days. I found traces of at the sides of the screen. traces like glue like substance and little scratches. (a bit down from the top cornors.)
Wanna know how to know whether it is refurbished or not.
And at lolipop update its antutu benchmark is about 44k.
And when at full sound only very few times the speaker sound cracks for a sec at the start of music.
and even mp4 video file format doesn't play with the system player but plays with MX.
How to differentiate orignal or not.. tried ##786# *#*#786#*#* both shows nothing and tried launcher pro and it also doesn't shows hidden menus RTN.
is there other way.. please guidance needed.

Hey guys,
I use ZTE Blade Q for almost 2 years. No complaining at all
but for 3 weeks my phone is not charging properly. Sometimes it charges for an hour and is 100% charged, and sometimes i put it at 20% and in a couple of hours is not even charged - its 6%.
I dont know, maybe the battery is f*cked up or maybe the charger i really dont know. I'm going to buy new one in December but still.. can you help me solve the problem? Because if i have to buy new battery it will take the good 2weeks to come.
Thanks!
Hi there,
I'm sorry but I can't find anything related to your question.

The htc m9 has been "living" with me for almost a week now and I have a few noticeable problems. First of all, the charging time does take a significant time. Like a whooping 6 hours or a bit more. Well, that's a bit too much. Changed charger and socket still the same. Haven't tried the original charger yet. Planning on to. The firmware is the 2.10.something.something. and the other thing is a small thing that kinda bugs me. The charging estimate time doesnt appear. Any way to make it appear?
