Well, I've never hard bricked any android (so far), but i think that this is it.
I tried some swap script in init.d folder on my vengeance kernel, but after reboot (or what should be reboot) my xperia tipo didn't boot at all. Hell, it didn't even try lol
So, I tried everything: removing and inserting battery, power and vol+ pressed for reset, fastboot and flash mode on pc with vol+/vol- pressed and connecting USB, but no feedback at all- no vibration, no green or blue led, no ˝device conneced˝ in flashtool log, not even red led when charging with wall charger!
Only thing that still gives me hope is 3 red led flashing when holding power button, indicating very low power level, I suppose. This is the one and only feedback and sign of life from my phone and it's not showing when pressed power button while connected on wall charger or USB.
I have this phone on wall charger for last 3+ days, with no changes in described condition and behaviour, it had 'round 20% battery when gone brick.
I've read tens of threads involving xperia bricks, but they mostly involve removing cable connnecting motherboard and battery in order for chips to lose power and reset as condition for flashtool and stuff, BUT i figure it's for phones which battery can't be pulled out easily- which is not the case with my tipo st 21i
So, guys, PLEASE help me revive my beloved phone, if it is possible.
Be saluted, and help meee
Also, it had:
-gimlo rom v2.1
-vengeance kernel latest version for tipo-tapioca
-and, of course, unlocked bootloader
-----------
Update
-----------
I decided to try decharging battery completely. I did rubber band trick on bower button untill red led flashing 3 times then pause 1 sec stopped completely. Then I set flashtool for only kernel flashing - excluded everything but kernel - did rubber band trick on Vol- this time and connected with USB. Red led started flashing 1 time every 3 seconds for roughly 10 minutes, with no results. After that flashing stopped again, just like on wall charger. When removing USB and holding power button I can see 3 red flashes consecutively, then 1 sec pause and so on.
My hope is dying slowly, if there is anybody with any idea, please help me.
Be saluted all

If u have an incompatible kernel, the phone won t charge. Flash your ftf with flashtool. then leave on charge.

I would only if I could, but, as I said before, phone won't get into flashmode, nor fastboot. Please, read my previous posts
Tipo's lights indicate fastboot and flashboot but doesn't work
My case is also similar, i managed to flash one rom from my sdcard, which it asked for reboot, when i rebooted the phone , its not even going in CWM, even the sony logo is not appearing.
but when i connect phone in fastboot mode (Vol- button + power button and connect to pc), it green light can be seen. but the issue is, my phone does not detect on pc, even though i as sony pc companion. The same i tried by downloading pda.net drivers but nothing worked.
Please help...!!

And you tried with flashtool on your pc?
And if you have flashtool on pc and flashmode and fastboot drivers installed, and you connect your phone to pc while flashtool is ready for flashing stock rom, open device manager and see if there is any unrecognized driver. Then tell me. Also tell me if you have by accident windows 8 on your pc

I"ve got thesame problem like you bro last time after using a vengeance kernel latest version in my tipo, thesame problem like you told the only way that i can fix my phone that time is to install a ADB driver to my pc because when im using a flashtool it didnt recognize my phone in flash mode and fastboot mode but after installing a adb driver in my pc and im using the flashtool it recognize my phone but it takes time to recognize it for the first time so be patience and after that i flash my firmware and now my phone is working but i never try again to use a vengeance kernel to my phone
Ok , soo i let my moto g down to 0 % battery and now he is dead , dont charge dont turn on.
if i plug in the charger and hold down the power , the led will blink and screen on displaying 0% screen then after 3 seconds it just disappear and the phone dies
Anyone know what can i do ?
138
It's an xt1032 was using omni rom
Please check the FAQ:
Q28: Moto G will not power up
didnt work soz =/ have acess to the battery btw
Let it charge
It doesnt charge!!!!
It sounds like you have a problem with your charge if you have left it connected to the charger for a few hours and the phone will still not power on. Try connecting the USB cable to a PC / Laptop and charge the phone that way.
Doesnt work tried about 4 different chargers and on pc it doesnt work either .
When i plug in the led starts blinking and after some time stops , if i press the power button the led would blink 2 times then nothing...
So you have tried the following?
Plug it into the charger
Hold the VOL DOWN key
While still holding the VOL DOWN key, press and hold the POWER key
Hold both keys down for over 120 seconds. This is more than two minutes and will seem like a long time. You might want to time yourself to make sure you hold it longer than two minutes.
After holding the keys down for more than two minutes, release them.
The Flash Boot screen will display, and the Normal Reboot option will be highlighted
Press the VOL UP key and the device will start a normal reboot.
yes man i tried said that didnt worked on the post
Hi guys. Its about a Samsung GT-S5360, more known as the Y, I think. However, when ever i boot it up, it shuts down after about 10 seconds, no matter if i enter recovery or download mode. Interesting thing is, when i take the battery out for few minutes and then put it back it takes a little more for it to shut down, few seconds more. Anyway, with the time given its impossible to even start flashing in download mode, I barely mange to press the vol up button in download mode to continue, and a second after its off :/
I assume that it might be the battery or a hardware issue whats more possible, because the charging doesnt seem to work. Thats all i managed to try so far, if anyone has a tip or something, please let me know.
Thanks
Edit: Connected it to my laptop by the laptop didnt find it, guess the usb port is dead, but still not sure how it could be connected with the shut downs
Edit: Was the battery at the end.
Try removing battery.then keep pressing powerbutton and insert battery.
Rootify (Root Checker) - Android Apps on Google Play
I have a 2nd Gen Moto G that was pretty much in mint condition & prior to yesterday it showed no signs of any potential problems. Then last night the screen completely froze & wouldn't allow any input. The phone then shut itself off & I figured it would just restart & be fine. Instead it went into a constant boot loop where it reaches the white "M" animation screen then shuts right back down. I played around with it for a few hours today & did a ton of searching on the internet with no results.
I also should state that the battery did not die when this happened. I mention that because there were some posts where people let their battery go completely dead then they couldn't get their Moto G to power back on, however that was not case for me as the battery had well over 50% charge when this happened.
Things I have tried in order to fix this:
Using a different charger (both wall and USB to the computer).
-Holding down the power button for 7-10 seconds while plugged in.
-Holding down the power button for 7-10 seconds while not plugged in.
-Holding down the power button for 2 minutes or more (while plugged in and while not plugged in).
-Holding down the power button and volume up buttons until the phone starts (while plugged in and while not plugged in).
-Holding down the power and volume down buttons for 2 minutes or more (while plugged in and while not plugged in).
Now this step does bring up the fastboot menu however selecting any option in this menu just causes the phone to back into the boot loop. And yes I know how to access options in this menu (down volume to scroll & up volume or power button to select).
So basically everything just sends the phone into boot loop. Is the phone toast? Also I should mention that all day today it would randomly try to start itself & get to the Moto animation screen & then shut down & that was while it was sitting on the desk & I hadn't even touched it.
If the phone is toast is there any way I can access files like pictures by plugging the phone into my computer while the fastboot screen is up?
Alright so seeing as no one has any suggestions (understandably) & based on the searching I've done I'm assuming that the phone is just DOA. However does anyone know a possible answer to my second question which is, if the phone is un-savable is there still any way I can access files like pictures by plugging the phone into my computer while the fastboot screen is up?

ever find em?
I just posted a bunch of my trial and error work at:
Post in thread 'Unable to enter EDL' https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/unable-to-enter-edl.4288003/post-86868743
So far my thought on the LED flashing on my phone is that it happens when there is a "power-up". So if the battery is dead or disconnected, I'll get a flash when it's plugged in. If the battery isn't dead and it's connected, I don't think it flashes, and I assume it has something to do with power already being provided.
The confusing thing to me is that if I hold the power button for about 10 seconds, while plugged in, with the battery disconnected, the LED will flash. Also, if I hold the volume-down button, it will flash about every 20 seconds. But it doesn't flash when doing either of those things while the battery is connected.
Does any of this apply to your phone?
