from some reason i think its not hardware : the phone speaker is good , but the loudspeaker isnt working at all.

The fact that this problem started occurring after being dropped in water should tell you that it's a hardware problem.

for some reason last night my nexus s's rear speaker stopped working, i couldnt hear music, video, or in call speakerphone at all. i flashed an old backup and magically the speaker started working. fast forward 18 hours and im back in the same predicament, i cant hear anything. does anybody have any idea what would be causing this. is my speaker busted or shorting out. i am rooted and running the latest ns collaboration in case that matters.
Bump.
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
it same for me to...
can any body tell it rom problem or hardware speaker problem??
Make a Backup. Flash something else or the same thing. see if it works. If not maybe your speaker is busted
this problem is of the your device hardware
where to buy this speaker buzzer...please help me...
This problem started happening two days ago, first i had some sound and cracking noise. Then it went dead. Strange thing is that sound works for a couple of seconds if I suck it(literally lol). So is there any way i can fix it myself before going to the service centre?
Hi. I recently got this issue two weeks ago. I bought this phone late December.
Basically, the earpiece sounds REALLY fuzzy and loud, but not in a good way. Even a $30 phones one sounds better. It isn't clear at all. It sounds very buzzy and noisy.
Heres what i tried:
-Reflashing back to stock. It was still the same.
-Removing and putting back the T-Mobile SIM card. Worked for a bit, then it went back to how it was before.
-Lower the in-call volume. I lowered all the way to the lowest i could go. It still sort of loud considering it was at the lowest volume. It was still buzzy and unclear.
I can't send it back to Motorola as i voided my warranty. It's a little annoying, but i want to fix it. What can i do? I've tried blowing into the earpiece to see if it gathered any dust or anything but it never works. What should i do?
I've been thinking of grabbing a hair drier just in case some water got in there to see if it helps. I doubt it will.
What do you guys say? What can i do?
I have the same issue... During calls it almost sounds like some weird cracking noise.. I would also love a solution for this

I also have this problem and I am having to send mine off for repair. The problem is that several people seem to have this problem and despite getting it repaired or replaced, they still suffer from the problem again and again. I don't want to have the hassle of repair/replace several times. This is very disappointing.

I want to know if new update 4.4.3 fixes this issue. Anyone tried it?
Just for info, 4.4.4 update does not fix this issue.
The symptoms you describe are more of a hardware issue. I've seen this happen with both an earpiece and speaker. Send it in for service.

Hey guys i have bought one plus 7 pro few days back , i have been using the phone and frankly speaking i am in love with this phone . i have to say that this is the best phone i have ever used.
Recently i came with a problem that while i am on a call if i put the call on speaker, my voice not go the other side. The person on the other side cant hear me.
So i tried to do it with two phones side by side thinking that it might be some network issue or something might be wrong in other user phone, but still it was like that while on speaker the person on other side cant hear me.
If anyone can help me out of this it would be appreciable.
Thanks
Yes ! Had the exact same issue with my one plus 7 pro. Would also get weird sounding feedback when on calls. No solution to the problem. Ended up turning it in under warranty and got a new phone sent to store, picked it up on Friday and haven't had any issues with new phone. Can't replicate issue with new phone either
Hello everyone,
The phone is a leeco x526 bought from banggood couple of years ago
Suddenly the in call speaker stopped working
I went on and bought a couple of earpiece module replacement from aliexpress,
I've disassembled the phone and replaced it, but did not solve the problem: still no sound from the in call speaker.... tried both the earpieces I bought
All the rest is working fine, including the loudspeker on the bottom.
PS. I've also tried reflashing the rom (even the stock one)
I don't know what to try next, hoping some guru around here can help me
I'm almost tempted to try the oven trick, but I'll wait a few days to see if anyone can gives me some other idea

Can you upload photos?
Perhaps the connection of the replacement speaker is weak?
Or maybe the contacts on the main board a little loose
Pictures would be helpful
Thanks for the answers.
I'm not sure if it's Hardware or Software, but I think it's hardware since when it stopped working it didn't had any update/rom flash/etc
I've tried to clean the contacts on the pcb
The earpice is not misplaced cause it's forced in the right position by the black plastic cover that sits over the pcb
Here's a pic, sorry for the weird quality:
I've tested the 2 earpieces that came from aliexpress with a multimeter in "continuity mode" and for both the value is around 30, I think they are ok.
I don't know if there's a way to test with the multimeter those 2 points on the pcb where the earpiece should sit.
Well I guess I'll give the oven trick it's chance next weekend, then I'll toss it away or use it as a car gps
