Hi,
Well I have had a kindle for a long time and I have successfully applied root to it many times... So this time my kindle was rooted (no problems there)... I tried the cynogenmod but for that I needed to install TWRP recovery... I used the kindle fire utility 2 master to install TWRP. Everything was going fine and then it asked to reboot the device I pressed enter and EUREKA!!!! the kindle turned with its logo but then quickly changed to the RED SCREEN... I didn't want to bother you developers so I searched for a fix... then I needed a Fastboot cable so I made one... So I plugged it in the computer and the Kindle came on with a screen with fastboot written on it and two lights one red and one green(blinking green)... So the next step was to find a program to unbrick it so I searched and downloaded the kindle fire first aide(image posted), kindle fire unbrick utility(image posted) but none of them worked. they both keep on saying " the system cannot find the path specified " (without the quotes) So I need your help I really miss my kindle and want it to live again.
P.S: If it helps when I connect the fastboot cable with my kindle and pc. in the device manager it shows up as otter-02-prod-04(image posted)
P.P.S : I really need your help :crying:
Hi there,
I'd suggest having a look at this thread: [HOW TO][UNBRICK][RED SCREEN][KF2] You have a red screen? Try this! (FIXED LINKS!)
Further questions try asking in Kindle Fire 2 Q&A, Help and Troubleshooting, people who own the device should be able to help you more in depth.

I rooted my kindle and installed a 2nd bootloader and TWRP it worked fine for a few days but then i decided to upgrade my TWRP and i some how corrupted my bootloader and now my kindle is stuck on the boot screen which shows the logo Kindle in White and Fire in Orange it does not go ahead. My pc does not even detect my kindle so I read this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1869297
but i am not able to solve this problem.
It does not go into fastboot.
I tried to upgrade from TWRP 2.6.0.0 to 2.8
I think the problem was that i did not install FireFireFire in my kindle
I used usb 3.0 to do all of this.
Please Help

Hey Guys. I have a Rooted Kindle Fire 2nd Gen, it was working fine when out of the blue it restarted on it's own and I get an error message saying I needed to restart or reset the device. I tried restarting but I kept getting the same error so I decided to reset. The process started out fine, the Kindle logo comes up but then I get a red screen and it just stays that way. I searched online and realized that my Kindle was bricked and I needed a fastboot cable, which I currently don't have. Is there any way at all to unbrick this device without using a fastboot cable? All suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you guys.
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. Try asking in your device's specific forum here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/kindle-fire-hd But two thoughts, if something just happens out of the blue it's usually a hardware issue. And, you're only other hope is to return the device to stock and you're going to need the cable to do that.

Hi, tried searching the forums but cannot find anything.
I've got a 1st Gen Kindle Fire HD, which belonged to my younger sister. One day out of the blue, she approached me because the kindle had stopped working.
Basically, whenever i try and boot up the kindle, the standard kindle logo displays, then almost immediately jumps to a fastboot logo and stays there.
When connected to a pc, it's no longer detected as a kindle, but comes up as 'bowser-09' i did "correct this" by manually installing the android adb drivers and it recognises as that now.
I've tried the unbrick tool and kindle fire utility, and both tell me that the device cannot be found, i've also purchased a factory cable, but had no further luck.
The device isn't rooted and everything on the device was stock. When i contacted amazon customer services, they told me the reason it was stuck in fastboot was that i'd tried to modify the device, so they wouldn't send a replacement.
Any help would be appreciated as i don't want to be left with an expensive paperweight, and have to fork out for a new device.

I have been searching all day trying to fix this and nothing seems to be working.
I've tried the Kindle Fire Unbricking Tool - no luck. I've tried using RootJunkies SuperTool and that was not very helpful either (though it did recognize my device when nothing else would). I've tried going into ADB manually through CMD and that was no use. It couldn't find my device. My PC is recognizing my Fire as TP-LINK Android Phone and the tablet won't start up at all. It's stuck perpetually on the Cyanogenmod boot-screen. I accidentally checked the 4th box when I was using FlashFire to flash the Cyanogenmod 12.1 version and I believe I wiped my internal memory. Is there any hope?
