I'm new in the world of android rom and root!
I have a Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 (S6500XXLK2) and I want to root it to try to install a kitkat rom.
I followed many different methods to root it but none with success.
I'm starting to think that there is an hardware problem becuase I'm not able to connect the device to kies, neither to odin. If I use Kingo root it doesn't recognize it.
The strange thing is that if I connet it to my linux pc I can connect via usb and I am able to access the device as a memory storage.
Any ideas?

I have a Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 and nothing has worked to root. I cannot use Odin because i have no SD card to load the root files. TowelRoot, Framaroot, Key Master, and Kingo Root have not worked. Any other methods? Any help will be appreciated.

i upgraded my samsung galaxy grand 1 to android lollipop bt i lost my root control after upgrading it
i tried the traditional way of rooting it and now my superuser has stuck
i disabled it and now i cant even use any other rooting app
suggest me a way out plzz

If you are using a custom rom, you need to ask in the rom thread for help. If you are trying to Root an official 5.0 update.... I need your device model number to point you towards help. But I'm pretty sure no Grand device has an official Lollipop update.... So you are likely using a rom... So please ask for help in the thread you downloaded the rom from.

I have installed MIUI v6 ( 5.7.8| beta).
it is successfully installed on my Samsung galaxy note 2 - 7100
But I am not able to connect it to my WIFI I tried several troubleshooting steps but no luck.
It was before installing MIUI on it.
also it is not allowing me go to root from any file manager app.
so please please provide me solution ASAP.

i wants to root my Samsung galaxy S4 mini I9192 4.4.2 Built id KOT49H.I9192DDUCOF2. when i google it ,all rooting guides said only about S4 mini I9192 4.4.2 without mentioning Built id(there are some but none of them same as mine). i am not expert but i know i m using kitkat OS, by rooting i can get Lolipop.

Anyway, S4 mini never receive official Lollipop update, so go ahead, root your device and flash custom ROM with 5.x.x baseband.

I have gather I will have to root my device and install a custom ROM, but I'm not certain how to do this properly. Where could I get help (by re-posting this question) or a guide that might show how to do this. Is it even possible? Thanks.
