[Q] HOW ROOT Alcatel One Touch 916???

I just bought a Alcatel One Touch 916 and I wonder if there is any way to rooting this phone, because it has many applications occupy memory, if anyone has any ideas would be useful.

Its a nice phone for women, but i need root to release more memory

Have you tried Poot? From looking at the specs for the 916 looks like it may work. I would suggest trying with the version of Poot that says it is for h866c.

Dont work for me too

Rooting currently not possible
I've tried all available rooting methods, inlcuding MTKdroidTools, none of them work.

I found a guide to root but i haven't tested yet !

If there isn't a forum for your device and you are unable to find any device specific information, you will just need to try different rooting methods until you find one that works. Look for root exploits that are specific to the existing Android version on your device.
Typically I will try to locate a starter thread for new members, but I am unable to locate one to point you to. :silly:

One sure fire way to check, even if you don't keep the app, is to install Es File Explorer and enable ROOT permissions for it. If you get ROOT permissions for it then you definitely have ROOT. And yes, it is strange that your device is pre-rooted.

How can there be root in a store bought rom? Saves a lot of trouble though

Try to Root with Latest Version of Framaroot it is on below link....

1.9.3 is the version I have..

Used Kingo android root and got it rooted
Used that software(windows) and got root. I got mine rooted. Seems there is no way to unroot though.

yep, its a very good tablet and of course the best price.....

You could always unroot a device if you restore it with the stock firmware.
And if you want to have CWM, but no one provides it, you could try to port it by yourself.
There are many Tutorials out there, and all the files you need are on your Device, so you could atleast give it a try .

If you put a link, i guess an adventurer passing by will try.. But if it's so simple, as said for such cheap&great tablet (so many bought it), it's strange that neither chinese or russian already built out a cmwn..! Makes you wonder.. PLEASE if you used Kingo and succeed then PLEASE try the unroot button and tell if it work and root's still active after you press it..
So far there's no custom rom.. If so, how could you install any?! I think i told earlier : Source code's available, strange no customs..!

I Rooted the tablet using KingoRoot and installed the Philz recovery. I can't post links, so search in Google(It is in xposedgeek page). Now I am trying to install Gapps, but it dosn't work . I also want to find a Rom that is in Spanish.

Did you backup recovery before installing philz? How did you do?

Are there more Kyocera Brigadier from verizon lovers here?
I realy hard searching the net for a rom for this phone from android lollipop.
I found on other websites threads like this, and they are always with the same surveys to download the rom-files.
I think maybe they are fake. There is not a lot to find about that, or maybe i am not seeking good enough. But i know i can trust this place for this things.
Is there somebody who can help? I was also thinking about genereating my own rom, but is this save? I fastreaded soms tutorials of that, but they are realy long.

Hallo i dont think there exist a lollilop rom for our brigadiers.
I have the kitkat version.

Hi, i find a method from now i got my brigadier with Lollipop, i was looking for on this forum and others and found a solution, but im new on this and let me explain as i can (sorry my English is bad ), i needed to get rooted my device (i did it with Kingroot) them i get root with SuperSU Following a tutorial on Youtube, Why i get supersu if i had king root?, Brigadiers users know that the bootloader is locked and cant unlock (at least i cant do), we need SuperSU for install and Use Flashfire app (Chainfire is Developer, sorry i dont know how to tag), when u get all that, just look for a brigadier lollipop rom (keep on mind it most be on .zip) and follow any tutorial how to use Flashfire, and ready!, if ur device keep freeze on kyocera logo or another one, just turn off and on again. till it start normally. if u have any question send me a msg or mail ill answer so fast as i can.

You can download the ROM with instructions inside the RAR file from the link below. Size is 877 MB. You may have to create a free 50GB account at the mega.nz file hosting site as otherwise it may prompt with the message that the download limit has been reached.

does the flash file method is using RSD lite? when i searched for xml its asking me to check file. something like xml its damaged or missing some file association.
i´ve downloaded the file again and it keeps saying the same. whta can i do?
PD: problem resolved. the problem was that i was using windows 10, then i take the same rom in another pc with windows xp and worked perfect.

As of right now, you can't. But from the looks of some people on this thread. There is a few people who are slowly finding ways to access parts of the flash memory that is locked. So I don't know about you, but I'm not giving up. lol

Also I found this and actually used it two days ago.
