[Q] I want to get a Z2 home.apk for Xperia C - Sony Xperia C

No backup though CMW installed actually , my home.apk while customising ,i failed So got stuck up with after boot and loading systemui , so it would be a great help if some on provide a flashable zip............................
i also googled for knowing how to make a flashable zip but, no help......
pls give a way other than:
1.Flashing the ftf using SuperFlash
2. Service Centre

I'm not sure if i understood your post correctly. Your device wont boot cause you dont have a launcher? If you have CWM then you should try looking for a flashable Home version 6.1.2.A.0.1 or 6.1.A.0.5. That should be compatible with XC 4.2.2. There are Z3 launchers going around but I think they are just apk. Aternatively, you can flash one of the custom ROMs here and get the full Z2 experience.
If you don't have CWM then repairing by PC Companion is your best shot. :highfive:

Got repaired....

since my exams are over i can create CWM recovery for this, but first i want to know if you guys indeed need it and incase you do then i will need testers to test out the recovery as i do not have the device with me...
@mods
i am waiting for reply from users after which i will change the OP to reflect the necessary information...

do u have any recovery working on JB firmware for locked bootloaders?
I had a running CWM but under versions 7.5. Now I have not any. Or is the possibility to unlock the bootloader with status NO.

they had recoveries with the .75(the latest ICS firmware) version, which was ICS.After the JB update there is no fully working recovery, the one termobulbulator posted is the only one booting.
tl;dr there is no recovery atm.The last recovery was for the last version of ICS.

Dear developer, as you know this device has not separate room in bootloader for recovery.img and this is a big issue. For now I find this solution to do onandroid backup and to flash the CWM with flashtool when I need a system restore... this is a little annoying, but works. Anyway if you could create a CWM recovery for JB stock kernel I'll be the first interested in testing it (may be one recovery.tar in /system/bin...???) Please!

Ok, Mr gavster26, you are the cool ruler of Xperia J, and you really know what's going on with CWM recovery for the device! But although we have yet CWM and TWRP recovery for J none of these developers it is able to fix permanent recovery on stock rom, yet. I have idea that this will be not possible as there is no separate room for recovery in bootloader. Maybe I am wrong but as I am noob just you are, I asked to Doomlord if he will help us to solve the problem, sorry for this but I'm not spammig at all, in any case.

I have a rooted Xperia J running stock JB with locked bootloader that has no working cwm/twrp recovery (I tried CWM 6.1 and I'm getting a black screen, since the same issues seems to be happening for others in the TWRP thread I haven't tried testing that). I cannot install the adrenaline script without CWM/TWRP. So to answer your question, yes it would be great if the J had a working recovery on stock JB however I have a locked bootlader so I cannot install custom ROMs/kernels if I understand correctly what I read so far. CWM did work on stock rooted ICS (version ending with 7.5).
Please do let me know if there is anything I can do to help you with testing without bricking my phone

[Q] Can't install CWN Xperia J

Hello,
I rooted my sony ericsson xperia J following THIS metod, and then I tried to install CWM using THIS metod, but after I finished installing CWM and I try to use it (when sony logo appears, click volume - repeteadly) my screen turns completely black and it doesn't enter the CWM.
I tried to install it again but when I try too use it, it does the same thing.
My bootloader is locked and following what I read ( THIS ) I can't unlock it.
My goal is to install Cyanogen rom in my xperia J ( I had one HTC desire with it, and i simply love that rom).
What can i do?
thank you for you attention
EDIT: mistake in the title "CWM"

This is working cwm for jb!
If you have unlocked bootloader,no need to install cwm... just flash boot.img (you can find in my mediafire folder in signature) . Cwm is included! boot.img is kernel for custom rom cm10! Without him you get bootloop!

Man, try flash the ftf file with Flashtool, so you'll be on Stock, but generic.
And first, for fix that problem with gsm, you need flash the ICS, 7.5.
You will find all that you need here

You call this rom? Just replace bootanimation, lockscreen and systemui and it's your rom? If it has more features then this, then write it in thread or it will be reported.

not just replacing bootanimation, lockscreen and systemui.. its rooted, zipaligned and all that BASIC stuff... and its free from most of google apps that ftf has.. and its not porting apps its about the idea of having a clean ROM that can be used to go back to stock with reflashing ftf or making a backup
anyways its still not tested yet and most important if you hate it then its not a problem to me

so this "another mistake"
actually you dont have to flash ftf before installing the ROM if your phone already running the same firmware the ROM made of..
and you found that mistake and you didnt realize yet that i said 0.31 twice thats the real mistake haha thanks for making me know

Is there any custom ROM for Sony Xperia XA?

I wanna install Custom ROM in my Xperia XA. But when I search in Google, I found nothing. Is there any custom ROM for Sony Xperia XA? Please give me link if you have some good custom ROM for Xperia XA
Unfortunately, there are no custom roms.
Maybe someone can test this tool to modify stock roms? I don't have enough time to test it now.

Ok I tried, touchscreen on Aroma is not working (will try default mode), repacked boot is not booting and recovery is erased I will try to swap boot/recovery files with them from my rootpack after unpacking .ftf
repacking in "dat" will not work use "zip"
All other features seem to work.
