Not sure..... Try editing PATH like this.... Start ... Computer.... System properties... Advanced system settings... Environment variables.... Under system variables... Find path, click on it... Hit edit.... At the very end of it type ;c\path\to\sdk\ then hit OK on all the windows .... that's a more permanent way to edit PATH..... Then your SDK should be available from any command window even after closing or rebooting

Oh man, I just want to leave work and go home to try it.
Not sure if this even works
Hey guys, Tried to used this toolkit with failure.
So I go to Fastboot mode and use the unlock bootloader. It resets everything. Check. Toolkit now says Unlocked on fastboot devices.
Then what? Go straight to Root! button? enter fastboot mode and click step one..it downloads something....phone doesn't restart or anything and instructions don't seem to apply to anything i can see yet.
Chinese recovery
Hi bought a oneplus from china and was flashed with CM11 before they sent me the phone, i went into recovery and its all in Chinese and no language change (not the stranded one used) will this toolkit still work ?
thanks
Can anyone please tell me how to uninstall the OnePlus One ToolKit? I tried the uninstall option but a cmd window popped up with several lines in it saying denied over and over.
Hey guys, when I download the Toolkit my Anti-virus shows me it as a virus! Is that normal?
And one more question. Can I unlock my bootloader on 38R without erasing my data?
Thanks in advance!

CM11S download doesnt work, direct nor via browser... Can you do something with it?
Thanks
I find it funny that this thread was started because the developer wanted his thread organized. The only problem is no one is getting answers in this thread. Waste of a thread if you ask me.
flash a recovery NOT working
Does this OnePlus One Toolkit Incorporate this Methodology of Rooting
Hey guys,
New Android user on board. I just got a OnePlus One and I'm looking to root it at this moment in order to use Titanium Backup to back-up system settings prior to updating to CyanogenMod v44s (I'm currently on v33r).
I came across this OPO Toolkit which I'm looking to use to simplify the process. However, I read in the thread that I'll need to unlock my bootloader in order to root my OnePlus One.
According to @The Jack of Clubs, that isn't an actual necessity in the case of the OPO. Is there a way of using this toolkit to root my OnePlus One without unlocking my bootloader? If not, how can I accomplish this on a Windows PC? I'm new to Android, so, I'm not aware of where to run the commands @The Jack of Clubs was referring to...
No drivers
it doesn't say to download the drives so nothing happens. help please
Impossible to unzip the oneplus one toolkit
Hi,
I installed properly the Java "Version 8 Update 25" then I downloaded the toolkit from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/development/oneplus-one-toolkit-manudroid19-gui-t2807418
When I want to unzip this file, I have a message saying : "The file can't be opend like an archive"
I re-downloaded many times but each time with 7zip or winrar, I have the same message :/
What can I do ?
thanks ^^
I just got my OPO china version and use v2 to unlock my bootloader, flashed 44S successfully. But when I tried to use the root function without the need to install custom recovery, I was stuck at step 1. After loading the TWRP in fastboot, nothing happen. My OPO didn't reboot but stay at the fastboot. There is no way it is rebooting to TWRP recovery to flash the image for the root.
Pls help.

Can't connect my Oneplus One 64Gb with windows 7 64x ( by any F way I COULD FIND )
Hello, at last, from me ( I am an old member but since I had nothing to offer to the community I was just searching and learning through this time with my old Samsung Gt I-5500 and cyanogen mod thanks to the community and the developers. I just got my Oneplus 64GB International - always a true fan of CM !!! -)
So here is my problem :
I can't manage to make my asus laptop-win 7 Pro 64x to "see" my phone. The phone is rooted with this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2788632
which worked great and at once. Since I rooted as soon as it arrived I hadn't the chance to connected it with my pc to transfer some music before. The windows did't recognize the phone(sdk windows driver installed before starting root procedure).
Then and after some research i tried out this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979&highlight=windows+7
which didn't work either....
then I tried out this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/development/oneplus-one-toolkit-manudroid19-gui-t2807418
which didn't work either ( my nerves started twitching really bad... at this point).
I really do not know what else should I try out so I am seeking of your help.
I don't think that this is of any use but at this point I ll just say that my laptop has a fairly clean os installed an I ve tried every solution the third method contains at the "Install Drivers - Manage Drivers" menu.

Hey Everyone,
Im new to android, and having a small issue, I am attempting to root my wifi xoom, I get up to the part where its time to select android recovery so that I can select the root zip, however when I use the volume down key to scroll the options the only 3 available are NVflash, RSD and Fastboot, theres no android recovery option I have searched the forums and googled it, but I seem to be the only one with this issue, my xoom is running 3.1 and bought in Aus, dont know if this makes a difference? any help would be greatly appreciated, I have got an OTG cable and would like to mount my external HDD so I need to get it rooted. Should probably mention I have unlocked it too.
Cheers
ha i just posted a thread with exactly the same issue. Hopefully one of us will get an answer!

Your post was already answered in the General section. No need to post twice.
The answer did not fix my problem however. Still stuck at the same place as before just like terreboo. Possibly theres an issue with this type of xoom? I bought mine in australia as well. According to my about tablet info it says this:
Firmware Configuration Version: GAS_ASIA_UCAHUBLWFRTIRD_P006 so im assuming this is an asian tab? Just wondering terreboo what does yours say under firmware configuration?
yeah sorry didnt mean to post it in the general section, I alerted it to the mods to delete they just havent got around to it yet, yeah mate I have the same version as you, although I doubt this is the reason, we cant be the only two in Aus trying to root them? I think the problem probably lies else where, it has been suggested I'm getting the timing wrong, so I'll try again and post back my progress or lack of.
---------- Post added at 10:01 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:45 PM ----------
I have tried it 10+ times now, I'm confident its not the timing of pressing the down key on reboot having varied the length of time everytime I tried, possibly its because of the firmware version? Im at a loss, I have followed the instructions of the root guide to the letter and seem to be one of the only ones with this problem!
this is the guide im using
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1078019
Same problem here!
I have the same problem guys.. Any solution?? The developers some help??
Im using the same guide btw....
I've freaked out im trying this for 8 hours now and no results....
im having a similar problem that my factory reset is corrupt or something because it doesnt actually DO anything.
I did the long root method as opposed to the supposedly easier method and thank heavens I got through it unharmed. I was ****ting my pants the whole way through. I wish I were more savvy with this so I can offer help. If I were u guys I would PM the devs from TIAMAT. They are probably the most knowledgeable ppl here to ask.
solution
OK guys i have a solution a guy from #xoom channel told me to write in windows command line
abd recovery reboot
And it worked!
I'm currently posting this from my costum rommed xoom

Would that be adb recovery reboot? Can you give more information?
assuming you have adb setup on your computer already. Plug your xoom into your comp and make sure its in debug mode. Settings-applications-development. Open a command prompt and type in "adb reboot recovery" without quotes. Your device will then reboot into recovery mode.
I will say I'm having the same issue. I flash the new recovery and I don't see it in the menu. I'm running a US wifi xoom.

Yes that's right. I followed the guide and i waited 3 seconds but i never had the option 'android recovery so i turned on the device and this guy told me to run this command from cmd.
So after that xoom rebooted into clockwork recovery state and i flashed thecostum rom.
According to the guide that were using, if you allow the xoom to boot fully into honeycomb it reinstalls the stock recovery, and you need to redo the process all over. Also, you need to be in honeycomb to use the ADB command, if your in fastboot it won't detect the xoom. This did not work for me. Anyone else try it?
no luck for me here either. I can flash recovery successfully (according to the prompt) no problems there. I just have the exact same trouble booting into it as above.
Vol Down key combo doesn't work and if you leave the OS to boot straight after install, CWM is replaced by stock recovery. No fun at all.
Any further news or suggestions on this?

Just make sure that Rom Manager doesn't trick you into flashing a non-compatible updated recovery version.
In my experience it doesn't play well with the Xoom.
If all you want is a non manual way to boot into recovery from the OS, download Quick Boot (if rooted) or if you're already on the Tiamat Moray Rom, it's something you can choose when you press the power button on the back.
the problem is that for me and others with this issue, you can't use adb to boot recovery. If you install recovery from fastboot then boot into the regular OS without booting to recovery and rooting, the OS replaces CWM with the stock recovery. This means if you use adb or another app to reboot into recovery, you just get stock recovery which is totally useless. I can't load recovery or root using anay of the universal methods I have come accross. We need a way to boot into recovery without having it replaced with stock or another rooting method or something. Any other ideas?

Look, this is how I had to flash CWM image file- through adb,/fastboot just like you. No matter what you say, it comes down to a question of timing.
I'm not sure about everyone else with the no recovery option, but timing just isnt the issue for me. Without a lie i've tried to enter recovery over 50 times at various points, 95% of those attempts were at the 3 second mark that is stated in the xda guide we've been using. I'm aware of one other person here whos tried it MUCH more than me with exactly the same result.
However theres one thing that we could narrow it down with. Thus far the people having this issue are using the asian firmware xoom's. Could everyone else having this problem on this thread say whether or not theyre using the asian firmware too? Maybe the asian firmware can't be rooted this way?
Hi there
I just got a new laptop running Window 8.1

Can any1 help me step by step how to get the fastboot-usb to install the TWRP on Window8?
My phone got everything already, just need the usb-driver, so in the fastboot can recognize the usb, so that i can flash latest TWRP.

Anyway, thanks alot for your help man, very appreciate but the problem still here
PS: another thing is my laptop using AMD cpu, and all of solution is just for intel-usb @[email protected] i cant follow someway, such as this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2347317&page=4
Unfortunately I don't run Windows 8 so I don't have any personal experience with getting it to work. The best solution I've seen people talk about is to use a different version of Windows.

Run a Linux live cd and use fastboot that way.

There is no signed Windows 8.1 Android driver.
To make it work there is several hoops to jump through. Really its easier to just boot into Linux or use another computer.
Eg my Desktop runs Windows 8.1 but my laptop has Windows 7, so I use the laptop for fastboot.

windows 8.1 wont recognize my htc one x with ICS rom. however when i updated to jellybean 4.1.1 and connected to the windows 8.1, it installed all the required drivers itself and now I am able to connect the phone/fastboot etc. I tried installing HTC Sync previously but that doesnt help cuz while the installation process the Htc Driver Installer fails to install.
To try cut a very long short I have a Nexus5 that I am now unable to boot. I had used the Skipsoft unified Android toolkit a few months ago to both unlock the bootloader and root the device. I backed up my original OS to my PC. Now last few days I have been unable to access the play store UNLESS on wifi so after trying a new sim card with no success I thought I would use the toolkit to lock the bootloader and unroot the device so I could install the latest 4.4.3 system update(which had already downloaded to the phone), at this point the toolkit chucked up a few errors (DOH..did not write them down, what a thick head). OK so update had downloaded and phone restarts but goes straight into TWRP which now asks for a password WTF ? so then I turn off the phone and back on and all I now have is the google logo spinning and nothing else. It even seems adb does not work is there ANYONE WHO CAN ASSIST ME PLEASE... FEEL LIKE CRYING RIGHT NOW..
Don't use a tool kit. Use this. If you still have problems post what errors you're getting here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=47156064
Edit, Google 15 second adb drivers xda. That'll setup fastboot/adb which you'll need. Just follow method one in the link I posted. Backup what you can before preceding off your device as it will
be wiped

OK... So managed to format the system then gain access to the new ADB sideload feature to allow me to sideload a new ROM. Thank you to all who read A hope this helps someone..
Relocking the bootloader for an OTA is unnecessary just FYI.
That's probably the reason why Twrp asked for a pass. It's generally good (required) to let the system full boot without any mods when factory restoring.

there after you can flash any custom roms available on chinese site for T20
Hi @jacktackle, good day!
First of all, excuse me for asking noob questions. I'm new here and I really have limited knowledge about smartphones.
I just wanna ask if this would work on my phone? Will my phone be completely rooted? Because I tried several rooting softwares, and everytime I restart my phone I always lose my root access.
Again, sorry for my noob questions. I would really appreciate your help!

Rooted with twrp recovery inbuild base rom

Here we go.
Download all the above files.
1) Root your device with Root Genius (at time's it might take several attempts so do not give up)
2) as soon as you root, go to the playstore and install super su by chainfire. let super su take over the kingroot because i personaly feel Super Su give's the full root.
3) one's you have super user, open it and make sure its functioning.
4) now install MKT Droid tool and backup your NVRAM for which you got to install Vcom drivers to recognise the device. best OS is Win7 32bit to get things straight. incase if the device is not recognised, reboot your PC and try again.
5) One's MKT Tool recognises the device, install adbd on the mobile. it's a paid version. (you know how to get it)
6) open adbd it's in chinese. tik all the boxes in adbd and close.
7) now click on root button at the bottom of MKT Droid tools. it's initially in yellow color. untill it becomes green, you cannot backup NVRAM (this is your esf and imei which you are going to loose after flashing kitkat rom from different mobile brand)
8)after you succeed backup up the NVRam, you did the toughest job of all time.
9)now flash G750-T00 Rom with flash tools which you are going to find in the last link i've provided. search net how to flash with flash tool.
10) after flashing the base, you will loose the network. first thing you got to do is root your mobile with root genius. then install playstore. google for playstore apk. install playstore, sign in with your gmail id and install adbd again. (if you do not want to install play store you know the black way to do it.) one's you install the adbd, tik the boxes and go to MTK Droid tools to restore the NVRAM. which will bring back your network connections.
11) one's you get the network, flash the 251 base as per the last link provided. this one comes with many goodies like twrp, 3minit battery mode etc. one's you flash this base, go to backup and reset and factory reset your phone to gain access to GPRS. it will fix by itself.
12)reboot into twrp and flash gapps.
Enjoy the Rom. EMUI 3.0 is smooth and changing lockscreen wallpapers will blow your mind. over all the mobile drastically changes from mid-range experience to flasgship experience

Is there are any bug that you get?
First of all I did check other forums, etc. before coming here. I also spent countless hours researching the rooting process. Here is my problem:
I'm attempting to root an HTC One x+ (AT&T) that I purchased on amazon. I'm using a Windows 8.1 system, and The latest Windroid tool (v2.3). With the tool I was able to unlock bootloader. The next step (flash a recovery) is where I believe I made my mistake. For my phone there was 2 choices (global and AT&T). I hence learned that my phone is evitare-ul, so I should have used the AT&T version, but I flashed it with the Global TWRP. I also made some errors in that I somehow wiped out the stock ROM (still don't know how that happened). I posted a question in the HTC One x+ forum, and was answered by LLoir (Thank you). The response was:
"You need TWRP for the EVITAREUL and then use the sideload function to put a rom on, also you need to manually flash the boot.img in fastboot. There's no MTP for TWRP Evitareul hence the reason for sideload."
Being new to "rooting" I wasn't sure what Llior was saying, ergo all the research. OK, so I found the TWRP-evitare-ul, but it WON'T FLASH! (Via Windroid). Windroid says it worked, but there is no recovery installed. I am however able to flash and remove the "global TWRP". Lloir answer also referenced 'NO MTP for TWRP evitareul", so I assume it is indeed the global TRWP I had flashed (it does has MTP wish I can enable or disable). When "enabled" my windows computer sees my phone, when "disabled" it doesn't see anything connected. I Need Help in Finding a way to Flash the "TWRP - evitareul" onto my phone.
A related issue is that after each Flash attempt when I attempt to reboot The screen on my phone changes from the "bootloader" screen to the "htc" screen And nothing more. Windroid is waiting and waiting and waiting. I end up pressing the power and volume down button combo to get back to bootloader. With the "global TWRP" I can boot to recovery, but I am in limbo when I try to flash with the "TWRP evitareul". It never installs! I'm guessing I have a booting issue.
Based on various forum articles I believe I'm to get the "Boot.img" to flash when I exe the rom file? I really rather just have the "zip" version I can use with Windroid. I'll need guidance and help there.
As it stands right now I have unlocked bootloader and apparently have the wrong TWRP installed. I have issues with my phone being recognized by my computer, and at various times my computer states there is a problem with windroid (when phone connected via usb). Is using a windows 8.1 system an issue. I can go to my old XP
In summary I need:
1) Find a way to flash the correct TWRP into my HTC One x+
2)be able to flash a ROM (MagioRom).
3)Flash the boot/img.
Guidance and help is appreciated. At least point me in the right direction. This is why I posted here. Please excuse my ignorance. Thanks
