Network issues - Verizon HTC One (M8)

I'm on stock rooted 4.4.3. I'm unable to make or receive calls, didn't test SMS since I use google voice. Data works fine but I noticed it never goes into 3g mode anymore.
So basically it seems like i'm stuck in LTE only mode with no 3g or CDMA calling.
In my network settings, the preferred network is LTE/3GPP instead of LTE/CDMA option. Anyone know how to fix this?

Just put the preferred network mode to global. And reboot.

please take a look the mobile network signals.!!!!!!!!
i never change the radio, so i think it is not the radio problem. anyone analysis is it becasue roms? or most possible due to the kernel ?? or may be apps?
i use nexus 5.04
thanks .
I had the same issue after changing carrier and at home. I solved it by using a RAT unlocked rogers modem and picking up a specific band, in my case wcdma 850.
I happened mostly after waking up but my guess is it was just showing it when waking up, my gf always complained she had to call 3 times before it will get to me and not to voice mail.
So you can't get a call while the phone is sleeping?

As I said i fixed it by setting up a specific band and letting the phone decide which band.
I could get calls while it was sleeping but the reception was spiking so sometimes it would just go to voice mail.

WiFi Calling on 5.0.2?

I am currently on 5.0.2 with root. Is there a way to incorporate the new WiFi calling feature in this version? Also, I noticed that on 5.1.1 when connected to WiFi, 4G will grey out. Is this just a cosmetic change or is the phone actually turning off data while connected to WiFi? I would think this would help battery life if it is indeed turning off.
Thanks for any input.
There's no way to incorporate wifi calling unless you update your phone I gave up root awhile ago without xposed framework or a unlocked bootloader there's really no point for me
Incase anyone is interested I was able to enable Wifi calling on my VZW S6 with 5.0.2 root via the method from this thread ->http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6-edge/general/quick-guide-enabling-hidden-features-t3087506
The issue is, even though it is enabled, I can't get calls to route over Wifi. I am thinking that there's something on Verizon's side that needs to be turned on. When I go to Settings>>Advanced Calling, the WiFi feature isn't there for me to turn it 'on'. I feel like if we can figure out how to get that option there to toggle it on, it will work. I think we would need something from a phone that has this feature working and use root to apply it to 5.0.2. Anyone else care to try and dig for a solution?

Always on roaming?

My phone always displays "R" on top of the signal bar even though roaming is off. How do I disable this? I can't use my mobile data because of this. Any guidance is appreciated. Thanks!
What ROM are you on? I suppose its some Nougat ROM since the R is only displayed in Nougat.
Anyways the R is displayed since you are roaming. It will show the R no matter you have enabled roaming or not.
And you eill have to enable Data Roaming to access Mobile Data.

Turn Roaming ON to access Data.

Mobile data always active

Hidden away, in Developer options, is an option to keep mobile data always active. Even when wifi is active, for fast network switching. I assume that we want this enabled? Just curious.

I've had it on for awhile now, on different phones and from I've noticed it's for fast Network switching. Never had an issue with it being on all the time. Orero and earlier had an option for wifi being aggressive in handing over to carrier data when wifi was poor. Don't see it in pie now. I would have that option as well as the option in for mobile data always active

Question [Answered] OnePlus 9 Global VoWiFi

I have been searching all over for days on this. I would like to know if someone knows of a way to get VoWiFi on T-Mobile (Mint Mobile). The T-Mobile version of this phone has it, but the Global does not. I am running the EU version of the OS. Is there a way to get VoWiFi on this to work? I see the setting for it in the settings, but even on it does not activate.
OK. I figured this out. It turns out my router was not configured properly. I turned on VPN Passthrough and WiFi Calling just worked. Apparently VoWiFi uses IPSec VPN connection.

In my case I had to ask my carrier to enable volte/vowifi for it to work.

I have VoLTE working. The T-Mobile network no longer supports any phone that doesn't have that. I am trying to get VoWiFi. Which carrier are you on?
Figured it out. Check First post.
