[BOUNTY] HP Slate 21 Pro - Android 4.3 [$100] - Android General

I have a Slate 21 pro, and need to get it so that when power is applied (power cord plugged in) the unit starts up without having to press the power button.
root instructions are here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2709467
Based on the work done in that thread, the slate has been unlocked and rooted (before towelroot became available).
Very busy at the moment, so I am putting up a bounty.
relevant info:
on some samsung devices, this script can be modified: /system/bin/playlpm or /system/bin/lpm
that does not work here
on some devices one can do "fastboot oem-off-mode charge 0"
that also does not work.

Please help!! Never ending "soft" brick on XT1543

A friend of mine gave me his old G3rd phone as a gift but it's in a soft brick state, phone is bootloader locked. Whenever I turn the phone on it shows M logo, screen goes black and then M logo appears again and so on, he claims he updated it to Marshmallow I suspect by OTA. I thought that I could just download stock 6.0 firmware and flash it, which I kindly did (tried fastboot, mfastboot and even on Linux) with no errors in bootloader nor cmd window, everything went straight through. Guess what? Still the same, i'm unable to access recovery or any power mode other than bootloader. What i'm curious about is if I flash 5.1.1 stock recovery and try to boot it shows the green android with his belly open and right away screen flickers and goes black, green android again and so on... bootloader is totally unlockable but that's not an option for me since of course I can't enable OEM unlock in developer options so I can't flash any custom recovery. AFAIK as long as an android device has access to fastboot it can be fixed or repaired.
Below I attach fastboot getvar all

What seems is that phone is still on Android 5.1.1 according to fingerprint value. I don't know about partitions being all raw except for carrier one which is ext4, that may something else to take into account. Please guys, any help would be greatly appreciated

I gave up on that device, since bootloader could not be unlocked there was nothing to do for it
Looks like emmc bricked, try power + vol down, when join bootloader screen, goto recover and click on it, hold power + vol up for 5 sec, and join factory reset menu, try to do that

We cannot help you... Only Lenovo/Moto can unlock the bootloader, there is no way around it. You need to go the the official Lenovo Motorola forum, they have a section with help unlocking.
No unofficial way??

No, there is NO OTHER WAY... Was I not clear when I said only Lenovo/Moto can unlock the bootloader? Android is much more secure than it once was, there is no alternative/unofficial/hack way at all, and there isn't on any respectable device made in the last 2-3 years that isn't a Pixel/Nexus or other developer device.
Sorry bro... Moto has us by the "boots" here.
Okay

There is no trick to unlocking the bootloader, you must follow the Motorola steps and only Moto can get you the code...
The key here is "FAILED (remote failure)" which means the phone is not able to give you the ID token for some reason, it is either defective (which we have seen a few like this) or it is not unlockable (carrier locked, Engineering bootloader, etc) but to know that we would need to see the output of "fastboot getvar all" with your IMEI masked out.
Same problem
I have an O2 sim locked Motorola g 2015 3rd generation. Can root but unroots after boot, and can not get unlock data from fastboot. Get same message as first poster. I have included a text of my getvar all command.

This is the only piece that matters... Bootloader is locked, you can't root.
So no matter what I do - I will not be able to get the fastboot unlock data to submit to motorola to unlock bootloader. Would unlocking sim to any network help with unlocking bootloader.

That's not what I said...
You cannot root your device unless your bootloader is unlocked, and can't unlock your bootloader unless you can get the unlock token to submit it to Moto's website for the unlock key, which you don't have... I would start there. Try different cables, USB ports, computers, boot a live Linux distro, factory default phone, etc. may help.
As I said before... We have seen devices that just won't give the unlock token for some reason, and we have seen Moto's website say devices are not eligible when we know they are, but we as users can do nothing about that and you must go to the official Lenovo forums, and to the developer section specifically, to get their assistance. Customer care and local service cant help you, only the forum can assist you and honestly that is rare especially in an older device.
Unlocking the SIM should have no effect on the bootloader, but if you have that option do it. It can't hurt anything and regardless it will increase the value of the phone.

Help - HTC U11 Life (Sense not working, Software modified)

I recently got an HTC U11 Life (Sense Version) in a joblot. Its running android 8.0.0 I tried to check If there are pending updates, there were none. I boot in recovery, that is when i noticed that the bootloader has a "relocked" flag. The problem I have with the phone, Blinkfeed does not work whatsoever. SENSE also is not working proper, I cannot download or check out phone themes. Please see attached images. What can i do? I wish someone had figured if there was a way to convert from sense to androidone. How can I have the Sense working again? Let me know.

Question Help with pseudo unbricked device

HI all! i`m stuck on bootloader... i brick my g100 trying to install a custom rom, unbrick it with EDL (thank god!).
but now i`m stuck on bootloader. I`ve confused about my phone region, already reflash the stock rom of RETBR region, but RSA tool tells me that it is RETAIL (and idk the difference).
Right now i can access my phone via bootloader, but all commands return (remote failure). Unfortunately the bootloader is now locked and when i run fastboot flashing unlock or fastboot oem unlock <my code> it returns that i need unlock OEM via Developer tools, BUT, i can`t access the system to do that! lol
one thing that i realize on my getvar all is that the current_slot property is empty and ro.carrier mismatch version-bootloader and others properties
any clue to save me? I`m mainly using Linux btw but have access at Windows if need to.

I dont understand why you guys keep relocking the bootloader, that really should not be advised.

Managed to solve?
And what with the following command?:
Code:
fastboot --set-active=b
Can be a or b of course ;-)
