Please help!! Never ending "soft" brick on XT1543

A friend of mine gave me his old G3rd phone as a gift but it's in a soft brick state, phone is bootloader locked. Whenever I turn the phone on it shows M logo, screen goes black and then M logo appears again and so on, he claims he updated it to Marshmallow I suspect by OTA. I thought that I could just download stock 6.0 firmware and flash it, which I kindly did (tried fastboot, mfastboot and even on Linux) with no errors in bootloader nor cmd window, everything went straight through. Guess what? Still the same, i'm unable to access recovery or any power mode other than bootloader. What i'm curious about is if I flash 5.1.1 stock recovery and try to boot it shows the green android with his belly open and right away screen flickers and goes black, green android again and so on... bootloader is totally unlockable but that's not an option for me since of course I can't enable OEM unlock in developer options so I can't flash any custom recovery. AFAIK as long as an android device has access to fastboot it can be fixed or repaired.​

What seems is that phone is still on Android 5.1.1 according to fingerprint value. I don't know about partitions being all raw except for carrier one which is ext4, that may something else to take into account. Please guys, any help would be greatly appreciated

from what I understand what this corrupt is the bootloader, because apparently he who commands the rest. and the difference that you mentioned about the robot. recovery.img is changing that.

I gave up on that device, since bootloader could not be unlocked there was nothing to do for it

Looks like emmc bricked, try power + vol down, when join bootloader screen, goto recover and click on it, hold power + vol up for 5 sec, and join factory reset menu, try to do that

Please, help with firmware flash on Motorola XT1540.

I've got a Motorola XT1540 which I tried to flash with 6.0 firmware using this file: XT1540_OSPREY_RETUS_2GB_6.0_MPI24.65-25.1_cid9
I flashed it via fastboot and ended up with a lot of errors (preflash validation failed, version downgraded, etc.). Now device doesn't boot up and it freezes on the screen I attach below.
Does anybody know what to do? The phone was bought in USA, so I think the firmware is correct, and there shouldn't be any downgrade involved since I'm trying to flash with 6.0 version.
I don't know what else to do.

From what I've read, if I unlock the bootloader, flashing MIGHT work (it shouldn't be necessary though, since I'm flashing and US firmware on and US phone), but I can't unlock it since I don't have OEM unlock activated. And I can't activate it since I cannot boot up the phone.

Factory reset in the stock recovery first, and then flash the device again, step by step... the firmware you noted is correct and is the latest version so a downgrade is not possible, please post a log of the entire terminal session, beginning with "fastboot devices" and "fastboot getvar all" and all the way through to the end.
If the device won't boot, you cannot unlock the bootloader, so no point in even discussing that at this time.

Which one? It always ends up with an error.

The one included in the firmware folder. Any chance the firmware .zip is corrupted? You can match the hash from webpage -https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24459283995299461

I doubt if you can temporarily boot a recovery image while the bootloader is locked. You can flash it though-

Then try to enter it via bootloader screen.

From the looks of your getvar output, the emmc (internal storage chip) is corrupt. If you can't flash the partition table to fix the filesystem it might be bricked
How did it get like this?

Hmm... I would get a refund.
Since Marshmallow fails, have you tried Lollipop? XT1540_OSPREY_RETUS_2GB_5.1.1_LPI23.72-44_cid9 at this point it can't really hurt anything, the key is to get it back into working condition, and all the RAW filesystem types bothers me, but the IMEI is intact so there is some hope if we can get the firmware in there.

Looks corrupt beyond what we do... If both the latest 5.11 and 6.0 fail and the bootloader is locked its likely bricked.

How can I unlock my bootloader.

If Motorola website is not accepting this code, there is nothing(cracking it ourselves) we can do, there are forum on Lenovo site for problems regarding unlocking bootloaders make sure you also for help there.

We cannot help you... Only Lenovo/Moto can unlock the bootloader, there is no way around it. You need to go the the official Lenovo Motorola forum, they have a section with help unlocking.

No, there is NO OTHER WAY... Was I not clear when I said only Lenovo/Moto can unlock the bootloader? Android is much more secure than it once was, there is no alternative/unofficial/hack way at all, and there isn't on any respectable device made in the last 2-3 years that isn't a Pixel/Nexus or other developer device.
Sorry bro... Moto has us by the "boots" here.

Hi, guys, i used the search function but i didn't find anything similar to my problem, my cellphone is in a bootloop, i have the bootloader blocked , i can't unlocked because of the OEM unlock option disable, i try using one of the stock firmware that you can find on android files host I'm using the "XT1540_OSPREY_RETUS_6.0_MPI24.65-25.1_cid9_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml" i tried flashing with ADB tools and get an error

The problem isn't the locked bootloader, cuz it's a Motorola's signed build, so it can be flashed even with locked bootloader. Maybe the problem can be the outdated build
Use the comand "fastboot getvar all" (without quotes, of course) and post here

Yes, it's really the outdated build, you need to find an stock firmware for your xt1540 with the version of MPIS24.65-25.1-19 or newer, you tried to flash the version 24.65-25.1 (and yes, every number is important at flashing stock firmware)
So, good luck finding that build or a newer one

Hi,
I'm trying to fix a moto G belonging to a friend. It is stuck in a bootloop. He said that when was resetting the phone via the settings menu but then was stuck on the bootloop. He does not know what was the android version before this or whatsoever.
The only things I know is that the bootloader is NOT unlocked.

I tried flashing stock firmware from this site and the first step says to delete user data via recovery in the firmware (from this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/2015-moto-g/general/index-moto-g-factory-firmware-images-t3169639 (I chose the retail uk for xt1541)), but when I try to flash the recovery it give me an error. Actually, as far as I think, the original was the stock that came with the phone. Then I flashed a firmware (see first post). So I think is must have come from there when I tried flashing that firmware.
Let me explain exactly what I had done:
1- Tried to flash stock recovery with instruction from here (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=66521508&postcount=590) . The stock recovery file used was from https://forum.xda-developers.com/2015-moto-g/general/index-moto-g-factory-firmware-images-t3169639
Conclusion was that flashing stock revovery failed, so I skipped deleting the data from the instructions and went forward.
2- Started flashing the firmware from the link on step 1, followed the 1st 2 instruction (fastboot oem fb_mode_set and
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin) and it failed on the 2nd instruction. So then I ended that and posted here.

Your model has 2GB of RAM. You should be flashing a 2GB version stock ROM for your model.
I think you should also post this question in the Moto G 2015 forum as you have an osprey not a falcon. Are you sure you flashed an osprey stock ROM and not a falcon stock ROM?

Hi Shadow, I've flashed the firmware, got the same error (Preflash validation failed FAILED (remote failure)) so I stopped and started using mfastboot. Started flashing the firmware using mfastboot and got the same error again but this time I did not stop after the second instruction and decided to continue till the last instruction and then rebooted the phone. When the phone came ON at that time the phone booted into the system.
So now everything is working fine.

Will be next unlocking the bootloader and then will be flashing a new ROM on the phone.
