Hi guys!
I have had an iPad 2 for 3,5 years now, and I was wondering if I could use the USB charger that came with it with my OnePlus One?
The original charger is rated at 5V at 2100mA, where the iPad block is rated at 5.1V at 2100mA.
I don't think it will be a problem, but you never know
Thanks in advance!

I wouldn't say that I am the best reference when it comes to phone chargers, but the usb charger that came with my Oneplus got lost while my friend was bringing it over to me from belgium and I've been using my ipad charger ever since with no problems what-so-ever.
Since they are both rated at 2.1 A, I don't see why not use the ipad charger.
Hope that helps

I recently bought the official s4 qi charger using the 50% off code. I forgot to purchase the required 2 AMP charger to power it (I didn't notice that wasn't included in the package). Since I don't have an S4 (I'm going to use the charger for my Nexus 7 FHD and my S3) I'm trying to find a 2AMP charging block/cord that I can trust.
I hate to start a new thread about this, but I searched all over Amazon and XDA and the best solution I could come up with is this:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...PWYPY7NWWHH&coliid=I321ZTUWIDWWO3&me=&seller=
I'm confident this one would work, but it's cord is connected to the brick and it's black and not white. I would prefer to have a separate brick so I could use a white cord to match the white s4 qi charger on my desk.
There are MANY solutions out there but each one I've found has mixed reviews when it comes to Android products and some even mention catching on fire! I hate to go the non-OEM route... but signing up for another account on Samsung's site and paying shipping and tax again will bring my total close to $28 dollars. At that point I might as well return the charger and just eat the shipping cost to return it.
TL;DR: Does anyone use a non-OEM charger that was under $25 with their S4 qi charger and can verify it doesn't catch on fire???
Thanks!
Currently using Monoprice 4 port wall charger ($7.80) to handle the charging of several peripherals at once. Note that only one port is rated at 2.1A/iPad compatible, whereas the other three are regular 1A USB ports.
Same deal but with two 2.1A ports and two 1A ports: $15.25.
Just one 2A port: $5.56.
Monoprice FTW
Some are on backorder.

A review from that listing "

Hmm then i suggest get the original charger with cable, coz i have seen if i use any other cable s4 charges pretty low around 900ma if original cable then 2A definitely because its takes lot of time otherwise.

Te3k and chamberc : are you currently using this with the s4 qi charger or just speaking to it's reliability in general?

If you order from amazon make sure to change the seller to a reputable dealer. I got one from seller1on1. The cable was shorter but the current was the same as the oem one

I've had great results with the rocketfish charger. under $5 at amazon.
Don't forget that our S4's have the 11 pin micro usb connector. I used an older 5 pin one and wondered why my 2amp charger took forever to charge my phone, rather than the 1.5 hours it normally takes to fully charge.
The extra pins are only for MHL.
The stock charger has 4 visible pins.
I just bought the Nexus Wireless charger (the new one with the magnets) with the intention of using it in my car. Unfortunately it does work with my cigarette lighter adapter (see below).
http://www.amazon.com/Anker%C2%AE-USB-4-8A-Dual-Port-Charger/dp/B00B8M4IMK/ref=cm_srch_res_rtr_1
I purchased that adapter because I read in another thread that the nexus wireless charger won't work at all unless it has a power source of at least 2A. This has 2.4A to both usb ports and works fine with my samsung and my nokia wireless chargers.
Has anyone gotten the Nexus wireless charger to work in their car, and if so, what cigarette lighter adapter did you use?
Anyone?..or am I the only person to try this?

The specs listed on the product description say 2.4 on the Ipad port and 2.4 on the android port. I believe that review was posted before they updated their description. So either they lied or corrected an error on their description.
The fact that the charger does not work has me a bit suspicious though. You never know what companies are trustworthy anymore.

I purchased the same Anker charger and also cannot get it to charge my Nexus 5 wireless charger.
If it is truly 1.5 amp then that's cause to get it returned to Amazon

I just made it work! I tried the Anker adapter too (due to a Post on another Forum) and it didn't work, so i had to return it.
For me it works fine with the following charger that i bought on Amazon Germany. It's the same adapter that dkechitkid (Thank you) suggested.
RAVPower® RP-CC01 Dual Schnellader Kfz-Ladegerät Adapter (12V/24V, 3100mA, 2 x USB) für Apple iPad 1/2/3/4 iPad mini und iPhone 4S 5 5C 5S schwarz
Unfortunatelly I'm not allowed to paste the link. What i can also say is that it works fine although i use both ports simultaneously to power the Nexus wireless charger and power the Homespot audio adapter.
Does anyone have exprerience with the Belkin Aircast bluetooth and the nexus wireless charger? The power adapter is supposed to be 2.1 mah according to the Belkin site.
I want a charger with longer wire than the one which comes in retail box. I was going through this Nokia AC-20 charger. Can someone tell me if that will be advisable to use with N5? The output of that charger is 750mAh, so I guess it will take some more time to charge which is fine with me. Should I go for it? Is there anyone who uses the AC-20 charger?

Personally I would go with wireless charger. I have the Google charger at my work desk and a different one at home I use as my nighttime dock.
Problem is that these chargers are not much available in India, moreover the prices are too high.

I don't use car chargers as I don't think they are safe! A simple crank of your engine causes the voltage to go up a lot... Even though the branded ones are totally safe, I prefer not to use them..
However, here is one which I'm eagerly waiting for... http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/the-air-dock
Why don't you just buy a longer 6ft+ USB cable and attach it to the charger?
The plugin part of the charger is the important part. The port is a standard microUSB cable so you can use whatever cable you want.

I was trying to use my old Nokia CA 101 which is a long cable than other but the charging time was way less than the stock one. Currently I'm using a Nokia AC 10E which belongs to my friend. This charges my phone really quick and comes with a long cable. But I have to return it this weekend. I tried looking for it in ebay India but unable to find 1.

Mind if I ask, as i'm not really into this.
Does it 'damage' anything, if using 2.1A, as I already have such a charger?

I have a Maxboost car charger that I bought from Amazon (US). And it has two USB ports. One 2.0 amps and the second is 2.4 amps. I've used both on my iPhone 6 and Note 4 without any issues.

It's not like the charger "pushes" current into your phone, but rather how much current the charger is able to provide if a device tries to "pull" that amount of energy from the charger. A charger rated at wrong(to high) voltage will on the other hand damage your device.

So shortly, Amp doesn't matter, but Voltage do?
Voltage should be 5, right?
Choetech makes a 4 port CLA. Works great on my GS6.
I can't post links yet but if you are Jedi material you can figure it out.

Any charger that supports 2A and has USB port works fine. Use my sammy USB cable to plug in. Charges well even in daylight with satellite gas is active.
You will definitely want one with Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0, it makes such a difference in charge speed. I have this one: http://amzn.to/2f9KVh0, I love Anker for all my charging needs! It costs a bit more than the other options but the perfect 5-star reviews speak for themselves You will also want to get a 3ft USB A to C cable like this one: http://amzn.to/2f9KVh0
Enjoy your awesome new device! With that charger I can go from 50% to 80% in just 20-30 minutes.

No way! I call you on that one. Our 3 year old devices can't quick charge without damage. Please do not post such info without knowing 1st hand. Our custom kernels limit fast charge to 1.8 A for a good reason.
Sorry I thought this was the Galaxy Note 8 (new phone) forum. Confusing from the XDA app... Having a QuickCharge charger won't hurt on old devices, they will charge at the normal 2.1 or 1.8 amps. But I agree in this case (old tablet) it won't help (but it's not like the newer charger will damage the device--they scale back their charging gracefully).
