You're not being specific enough or providing enough information.

What you are missing is a WHOLE lot of information and context. Based on your post, I have concluded that you have some sort of adb installed. That's about it.

[Q] ADB & Linux

Anyone have adb working with linux? I've had zero luck hacking around with udev. Any assistance (udev rules, etc) appreciated! I do have adb-wireless working. My distro is Debian Sid.
probably not the best way, but i just threw it in the bin folder so i dont have to bother with it at all
I had no issues installing the sdk on lucid on my amd64. Never could get the sdk to install on xp(flp), so I had to install the one click root one line at a time from the *.bat
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
here for future reference, its a quick little script that will root your phone
http://www.mediafire.com/?hk59z8j5dve6tgf this works as long as your using bash shell cannot confirm for any others..
make sure to set click here as executable and make sure debugging is on your phone

screenshots?

Is there any way to take screenshots? I'm running vegan 5.1
If you get the Android SDK installed on Windows, it has a tool called DDMS:
http://developer.android.com/guide/developing/tools/ddms.html
You can use DDMS to take screenshots:

agreed, as of now that's about it. Most here have tried EVERY screenshot app available and they just produce black screens (trying to save you some time).
Thanks ill give it a try

I've tried to use screen grabbers I've found on the market, non of them worked properly - all creating black image.

Any help available on why DDMS (or ADB for that matter) does not see my G-Tab? I have USB Debugging enabled (conected) and I can see the "SD" card?
Thanks!

Just installing the SDK is not enough
the USB driver needs to be configured to allow the SDK to communicate with the device. The default driver just allows for removable drive functionality.
to configure linux ADB this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=919425
to configure Windows ADB this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=902860
Once configured follow the DDMS instructions posted earlier in the thread.

or Try Adbwiress, so you don't need to connect via USB.
and on your computer , type adb connect <G-Tab Ip>

Wow, how did I not know about this? I spent an hour setting up adb for my Gtab because of driver issues last week. I ended up having to use USBdeview to zap the previous drivers to get it to run.
Thanks for this great tip!

There are no adb "drivers" for Windows. ADB itself is usually obtained by downloading the Android SDK from Google ( http://developer.android.com ). There are also quite a few tools here at XDA that also contain ADB. Android Flash Recovery is one of those tools.

Installing the Samsung syncing software on windows will probably give you the usb drivers too.

That would be correct. Installing Kies will also install USB drivers. Still nothing to do with ADB as the OP is asking, although it could be a malformed question too.
Universal Driver
You can use the Universal ADB Driver by Koush plus.google.com/103583939320326217147/posts/BQ5iYJEaaEH
"...This driver should work on all Android phones for all versions of Windows...."

I think it is the updated USB drivers for fastboot/adb that are important and a restart usually is required when drivers are involved.
Could you be a bit more detailed about what you need help with, exactly?

[TMO H91810 ( j ) STOCK LG_UP.DLL][WINDOWS 10 ADB USB DRIVERS]

Hi folks. im currently unable to use adb in cmd, only fastboot. So if anyone can help me upgrade my usb drivers to use adb with my windows 10. My device is seen currently as Kedacom USB Device, Google, inc driver. Android Bootloader Interface is using Microsoft winusb.sys (driver), wdfinstaller01009.dll(control), winusbCoinstaller2.dll(control)which are Windows 7 (old) Those are the best Microsoft and Dell can provide.
I know theres h91810 (i) LG_UP.dll floating around but Tmo is anti-rollback. So H91810( j ) LG_UP.dll would be the goto file set (i hope) Btw, the (i) is corrupt anyways? File extracted had error showing for me while it was in the .zip
Either one of these will help me with progressing towards getting my device working

Uninstall the driver. Unplug your internet. Plug in your phone. Profit
Might have to select to install driver from a list. Then select Google.

Your right. I'll slow down my brain a little. Adult adhd and my mind is in 10 spots at once. It's been challenging to focus very Long. I'm almost like the fish that gets distracted in Finding Elmore.
Except I get on one project and I end up doing 10. Ivr got an excellant excellent memory. I retain information really well hehe.
My apologies to folks in Roms-Recovery-Developement-and other projects )
