[Q] Nokia Here Maps - Samsung Gear 2

Nokia Here Maps is released now in Galaxy Apps Store. In its description we can see that it supports Gear S. But then where is Gear 2 support ? Shouldn't we have it on Gear 2 as well ?

It's just waiting until the "Navigator" app gets published in the Gear store.

You are correct that it says ""HERE is providing its maps and location platform to Tizen-powered smartphones and wearables from Samsung""
But it says it only once. Other than that both articles are mentioning only "Gear S" like the title of the second article:
"HERE for Samsung: Fresh maps for the new Samsung Gear S"
It doesn't say Gear 2, only Gear S.
Also, the first article is mentioning Gear S 6 times. Gear 2 ? "none"
That's why I am worried. And also in the description of the Galaxy App (for phone) , it only mentions support for Gear S.

Also, I've read that "Opera mini"is published for "Gear S"
As the Gear 2 owners, we are losing...
We should ask Samsung for support.

Well i will hold on to the one line, and thinking it WILL come to the Gear 2 also.

Samsung updates gear first gen with tizen when gear 2 was released. Hope they do the same upgrade for gear 1&2 when gear s is released.
Less fragmentation will only help the tizen ecosystem. More devices... more devs can write apps for bigger market..

Presenting the most detailed watch face for Gear S2

While aesthetics may be a subjective matter, having looked through a significant portion of the store, I think I can safely say that this will be the most detailed watch face yet, designed to be a 1:1 replica of the real thing.
I present you, the Fos... I mean, Relic Q.
It is in stores right now, but it will be on sale starting tomorrow for a week. I wanted it to be on sale immediately but I didn't set things up right sorry...
Please also look at other simpler watch faces that also just got through registration in one batch.

Looks amazing! Can you please show how the ambient mode face looks?

There is a screenshot in the Samsung store, I didn't want to clutter up this post with too many screenshots. Basically it has all the complications, and the Roman numerals, except they are pixel dithered to reduce display level by about 50% while maintaining the same general bold designs. I think this is the first watch face to do that.

Where can we buy the Relic Q?
Is the Relic Q found in the Samsung Gear app to buy?

A search on the Google Play Gear app for Relic Q gives 'No Results'. Can you give the URL to go there directly?

Well of course, no gear S2 watch face is on Google Play. It's a Tizen wearable so you can only find its watch faces on samsung store.

I think he meant the store in the gear manager app, that he obtained from the play store (vice the one on Samsung phones from the Samsung app store)

Not sure where the Developer lives, but is the Relic Q available in the USA Samsung Gear app? This is the only place that I know of where I am able to download new watch faces for my Gear S2 watch. Is there anyone else that has found a way to download this watch face, if so, where and how. Thanks in advance.
Just a "me too" reply. I have the gear s2 classic and can't find this watchface anywhere in the samsung apps store. Tried to visually identify it as well as searched for Relic and Q, no luck.
Guys please, it's where you get all your watch faces for Gear S2, other than Mr.Time Maker, why is this so difficult? I can't send you a link because it's mobile only and only when you have gear manager.
This is in CANADIAN dollars not US dollar:
I am from Mexico and I don't see the watchface listed on Samsung Gear Apps

Then I have no idea, I have checked all the options from my side, they all seem to indicate that this is available globally.
I still think you're not actually in the gear apps watch face category search.

then I'm out of ideas, maybe wait for a day or two? The only clue I'm getting here is that I have extremely low download counts from the USA (1 out of 400 for my free apps from a week ago, I mean even Iraq has 1 download), maybe they're just incredibly delayed compared to other countries?
I'm in Canada and it's definitely available here. Not quite my style of watchface, but I bought it to support the developer because he actually did two things: designed a good ambient mode, and had the courtesy to show a picture of the ambient mode in his listing. Most watch faces in the store pay no attention to ambient mode and I won't buy any without knowing what the ambient looks like. Props to chen gong for the watch face, the ambient, and the quality listing.
Purchased and installed. Looks pretty darn good but doesn't really look as three dimensional as the screenshots seem to indicate.
It is available in Poland as well.
Though for me it is useless to show 24h time - I might buy it if it was customized, like You can show weather there or steps.
But good job, I appreciate it

But you can't use the tizen store with the Gear S2.

I'm creating and adding to this list as much as I possibly can. I just received my watch last week so be patient as I try out new products.

Fraudulent behaviour from Samsung?

As from the title visible, I feel cheated by Samsung. I should perhaps state beforehand that the Gear S3 is my first Samsung device (apart from a tablet which my wife uses), so I have not much experience with their practices. I bought the Gear S3 because Samsung in its advertisements made some promises which set the Gear S3 apart from the competition for my opinion: The Gear S3 should come with Spotify support and with an app for Komoot, an outdoor app: http://www.samsung.com/de/galaxy/gear-s3/experience/ The availability of these two apps let me buy the Gear S3.
In the time between the order and the delivery, I read in the news that Spotify was late with its stand alone app (!) for the Gear S3. Well, I understood, that this does not affect me too much, because there would be a phone dependent app for the watch. But there is NOTHING.
Neither is there anything like a Komoot app for the Gear S3. To the contrary, the competent employee of Komoot has stated in that company's forum, that they are not even planning (!) to make an app for the Gear S3! http://support.komoot.de/forums/164264-ideen/suggestions/16250353-samsung-gear-s3-und-koomot
Is there others who feel cheated like I do?

Hi, You should contact the Samsung importer for your country, Germany?, and see what they say. If you purchased the watch based on that Samsung advert and Samsung do not honour their sales advert you could and should request a full refund.
Keep us informed how you go.
Ryland
Send it back and vow never to buy another Samsung product. I'm quite happy with mine.
Yeah that's really strange.
Komoot would be great, and where is the N-TV-App which is also advertised on that Website?

I can see the N-TV App in the Gear App, it downloads, but it fails to install on the S3.
Update: In the meantime it has turned out that Komoot's employee in charge of their forum was badly informed. The Komoot app for the S3 is in fact available and has been available since mid-November. But the app is not yet compatible with non-Samsung phones yet. Komoot has promised to solve this issue soon.

Bixby Assistant

Does anybody have any updates when we'll get the Bixby Voice assistant in USA? It really disappointing that not only Korea got it, but there rumors about Bixby voice assistant for the fridges.? Wish they could have it situated already. I'm anxious to see how it is.
I think it's doomed. Too much competition, proprietary to devices, and launched incomplete meaning most average users will have already dismissed it and won't be likely to give it a second look.

Samsung would be better off getting amazon to partner up and attach an android alexa version on that button. Essentially sell the physical button real estate to an established player that people in the US would be interested in actually using.
