eye-candy UI:cyclops::cyclops: and if this possible maybe u could add the a2sd features.. because most of ICS roms doest support that..

If you ask me what features of JB I want then it's extended vsync, tripple buffering, Wifi-Direct Service Discovery, Renderscript Computation, Bi-Directional Text and Other Language Support & the new notification UI.

[GUIDE][MOD] Add init.d support on stock rooted device

Hi guys, as the title says, i found doomlord thread HERE about adding init.d support to those whose running stock rooted with locked BL & thought i'd share/link it here.
So, if u're running stock rom with locked BL u can try this method to add init.d support to your device. If it work then u can add any init.d tweaks onto your stock device & feel the diff yourself. So let me know if it work or not. Dont forget to Thank doomlord if it does work. Gud luck.

If it work then u can add THIS into your init.d folder in /etc/init.d. Just a simple harmless beneficial tweaks.

**Advice: Try "NOT" to add any unknown unfamiliar tweaks that may cause trouble to your device. Read through what its about & ask if it would work. Only then u can add them in ur init.d folder.
**Note: This mod has been tested on several device of mine & it work. (Xperia Play, Sg note n7000, f8d tablet pc).

Couldn't Init.d for stock kernel be simply enabled by changing the permissions for the folder.
Some of our ROMs have this and it works. E.g TrueAncestor

This's a beginner guide. For those who prefer using stock rooted debloated rom & dosent want to un-lock thier BL. Plus its really easy to do it. I've already used this on several diff device. So ur suggest may be true, but its quite complicated to those who's still new in this android world.

what the difference between your tweaks and DoomLord??

The tweaks dont matter. U can get ur own tweak if u want. This guide/mod purpose is to Enable init.d support. As for the tweak, u can use mine, doomlord &/or any1 elses' in XDA.

[ROMS]Ports For CM7/Alpha 9

Hi G3 users, I have now Ported many Roms for cm7/alpha 9 and instead of starting new threads for each, I have decided to put all in one now....
All these are based on CM7 Alpha 9 (for now, will update to alpha 10/beta 1 when marcel releases it)
IMPORTANT NOTE
1) These Roms include all the remaining bugs of Cm7 Alpha 9
2) If You have any issue with connectivity, replace the telephonyprovider.apk in /system/app with this
3) If you have any calling issue, replace phone.apk with this(Doesnt work on miui)
4) If you have any messaging related issues, you can replace mms.apk with This
5)If MIUIcamera isnt working properly or freezing very often, you can replace miuicamera.apk with this( in case camera isnt working on other roms, you can still replace with this file but rename it Camera.apk
6) If you get frequent FC on keyboard ,replace it with this
7) If your Launcher keeps giving fc, replace it with This
8) For JB style clock replace clock.apk with this(For screens see my S3 rom Screens)
9) If gallery/Quickpic Doesnt Work, pls update/reinstall it
IF you wish to NOT do the above, you can do one easier thing:
-Dwnld the Rom
-Extract it to folder(lets say X)
-you should get 2 folders(Meta-inf and System) and a file(zImage)
-open system--->app
-Now replace the apk from there with any one mentioned above
-return to folder X
-Select Meta-inf , system and zImage ----> Right click ---> Choose 7-zip/Winzip ---> And click ADD TO ARCHIVE
-Now choose format as .zip and type any name which you may like (it souldnt be the same as the rom u have dwnld if the rom is in folder X too)

But dont follow miui tut there cause thats for miui v4
its just normal porting
I too ported about 8-9 miui roms
Half didnt even boot:crying:
others gave prob except one

Do those roms include any tweaks?

But i think you can add them in buil.prop
They r pretty easy

There is quite good application for tweaking "pimp my rom" of course it has not all possible tweaks but it has enough basic tweaks :thumbup:

LG shud wrk if u know how to convert a few lg based files to samsung

In each post, can you mention whether the calling works on each ROM or not? It makes it easier for us and prevents us from wasting time flashing a ROM and realising that calling doesn't work and then we have to modify some apk files etc. If you can, can you also fix calling in the ROMs permanently so we don't have to fix it ourselves?

I guess it works properly in all so far
But in case it doesn't, I provided a tutorial which is easy and hardly takes time
Else I would need to unnecessarily re upload every rom just for a minor defect

and does your ROM contain any parts from the Pure Xperia Z3 ROM? if yes, then how come you didn't give them credit.

Their rom is for xolo phones i think built on xperia c firmware this rom is for xc and my apps are from ports of sony apps

If the base you used for your ROM is Their ROM, then you have to get their permission. and give them proper credit.
If you haven't ported any of the apps you use in your ROM, then you should ask each and every one of the people who have ported them for permission, and give them credit. Some ask just for credit without asking for permission.
Use of other people's work as your own is not good.
