Dear All.
I bought my HTC one used phone from Dubai last week and got back to Jordan. The phone is locked with pin, and nothing changes with or without sim card. The phone is originally from Us with Verizon brand. I tried to use HTC chat service and they tried to help resitting the device to factory settings and even I still get the same situation. Any body can advise me what to do in order to get my device unlocked. Thank you.
Hi,
Sounds like a used phone to me, where someone has set a pin lock screen. If so, usually the phone needs to be completely wiped and stock firmware flashed to it.
But for other opinions , please ask in your device section, here....

Good luck!

I'm not familiar with that exact phone, but perhaps you are talking about SIM unlock pin? If so, you need to likely purchase one on a cell unlock site on the internet, since Verizon won't do it if you're not a customer.
Here is a thread on SIM unlocking,

I remember for galaxy tab i punched some numbers from calculator to get a phone pad but i don't know if there is any option available for this slate. Could anybody please help me in this.

I'm new at rooting and searched and searched but couldn't find any answers for some questions I have. I apologize in advance as I know you guys get a million questions most of which are the same. I have an att galaxy s4 and I used towelroot to gain root. Afterwards I tried to install a custom recovery and tried both cwm and the other one (team win something or other) and both installed fine but neither would give me an option to backup anything up. Now when I try to boot into recovery it doesn't give me any options anymore it goes straight to the android logo and says downloading but nothing happens as I let it sit for a very long time and it does nothing. Then if I try and mess with any other buttons it says trying to install a custom Os can cause damage press volume down to cancel. Which I do because there isn't any other option... what am I doing wrong? Anyone with some help would be appreciated thanks in advance

It says I'm too new to post on development threads. How do I check what operating system I have to figure out which version of safestrap I need. My phones build number ends with nc1 if that helps. When reading that post I didn't see any version with the last 3 of my phone

And your current version is in settings, about phone....android version. ?
Hello. l am not exactly new to these forums but this is my first post. l have read here for a long time and due to the diligence of you all l have been able to root both my son's phone and my own. (my old phone). And l thank you all for that. l am not a developer or even a 'code head', ln fact l am a log home builder from Montana whom after reading here has learned the value of gaining 'root' on my phones, and how exactly to do it.
Again, thank you all for your tenacity.
Now, l have an XT-1080 that l would like to gain root on. l have been reading here for months and recently tried purchasing the 'unlock code' from the Chinese guy. (TAOBAO). l tried three times with the same results. He is, "out of stock". So after more searching l discovered that Motorola will give you the unlock code at the Motorola website. (l am not allowed to post a link). l have not tried their method, (Motorola), and was wondering why this method has never come up here on these forums? Or maybe it has but l just never caught it? ls there something the matter with going to Motorola directly for an unlock code? What am l missing? Why do we have to bother with Chinese guys? l know l must be missing something here. l know there must be a reason we are all not just going to Motorola for our codes. What's the reason?
Again, before l would ever try something like this on my own, l would have to ask the experts. YOU.
Your feedback here would be most appreciated. l am anxious to gain root on my XT-1080 and after trying the Chinese guy three times l just don't know where else to turn. (other than purchasing a DEV model).
Thanks again,
MTMadman...
Hi,
Motorola will give unlock codes for most their devices... It is actually a well known fact. But verizon, AT&T and Republic wireless don't allow their devices to be unlocked. That is why their are alternate ways, all costing money.
And how ever you do it, your warranty is void . Except the Dev editions.

Thanks KJ. Yes l do have other questions. First of all, how would Verizon know if l had my phone unlocked through Motorola or another source? What's the difference? (l will also take this question to the link you provided.).
Thanks again...

I have Rooted it and applied a nice cooked ROM from this great website.
Once I have install my SIM (first time since I have the phone), it comes with the SIM NETWORK LOCK.
Now, how com it is like that if i have ROOT and ROM not from Sumsung?
I need help on that as the prices out there are $35-$66
Can someone help? I have the IMEI and model (910C)
Many thanks to this great site and people

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
SIM unlocks are completely separate from actions performed by rooting, or installing custom ROM's, unfortunately. Also, you may find that if you get an unlock code, it will not work while running said custom ROM (I personally ran into this problem before). Samsung's are horrible for unlock code prices, but if you shop around you may find a good deal from a trusted source.
Ideas for that can be asked through the following thread, where your device experts are found:
> Samsung Galaxy Note 4 > Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [NOOB FRIENDLY] Ask the question!
Please note, you will need to have an XDA account to be able to post there.
Hope this helps, and good luck!
