I have Note 4 from Europe
I have Rooted it and applied a nice cooked ROM from this great website.
Once I have install my SIM (first time since I have the phone), it comes with the SIM NETWORK LOCK.
Now, how com it is like that if i have ROOT and ROM not from Sumsung?
I need help on that as the prices out there are $35-$66
Can someone help? I have the IMEI and model (910C)
Many thanks to this great site and people

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
SIM unlocks are completely separate from actions performed by rooting, or installing custom ROM's, unfortunately. Also, you may find that if you get an unlock code, it will not work while running said custom ROM (I personally ran into this problem before). Samsung's are horrible for unlock code prices, but if you shop around you may find a good deal from a trusted source.
Ideas for that can be asked through the following thread, where your device experts are found:
> Samsung Galaxy Note 4 > Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [NOOB FRIENDLY] Ask the question!
Please note, you will need to have an XDA account to be able to post there.
Hope this helps, and good luck!

Hi everyone
some one sent me a galaxy ace 3 (GT-S7275T) as a gift from australia, and now when I want to use sim card , at first booting displayes a message " Unlocked SIM PIN " My country is Iran , Please help me how to unlock this sim card, thanks
Hi there!
Chances are you need to request it to be unlocked by the carrier that sold it originally. Or you can check carrier unlock sites and see if they can unlock your phone. It usually costs 5 to 20 US dollars.
You could try asking in this thread, as they should know your device best....

Good luck!! ?

Hi there
Thanks for your advice , I could rooted it by SRS software but I don't find any unlock software that work with this phone , and also because of my residency in Iran and some restrictions in pay dollars to carrier sites, and also I think it is impolite to send back this gift to who that did me a favour.
but thank you anyway

If paying a website for an unlock code isn't an option for you.....I'm not sure there's anything you can do.
You could post your question in the general section and see if anyone has some ideas? Found here....

Hopefully you get it figured out.

Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. You need to be very careful when considering using firmware that isn't from your exact variant, it'd be best to ask the experts in the Note 4 help thread here:
[NOOB FRIENDLY] Ask the question!
No response in two days, thread closed.
My friend have got Samsung Galaxy Core Prime (SM-G361F) as a gift. It is bought from UK and have sim network lock in it. Device have got bricked when trying to root it. So i flashed G361FXXU1AOH4_G361FLUX1AOG1_LUX firmware downloaded from sam mobile through odin and its working now. Still the sim network lock is there. Now we need to buy an unlock code for this and all the sites asked country of origin and carrier. Is it still UK or Luxemburg? Also pls reccomend a trustworthy unclocking service if you know.
Thank you for using XDA Assist.
I see you asked your question in the Android Q&A forum.
You should actually be asking your question in your device specific forum located here
As far as recommending some one for the service we do not do that here on XDA, but you can always read what other users have done in the section.
Good Luck

Hello guys, I'm new to this community. I need help to unlock my Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
The phone was a gift from my friend since my nexus 4 broke. I'm currently on MetroPCS and I need
to activate my new phone, but since it is Sprint I havent been able to do it. I downgraded to Kitkat 4.4.2
and root it to install SSU. Since SSU was not working on Lollipop 5.0
So now SSU says that it is unlocked, but I'm still having the same issue with "invalid sim card." I read some forums
and they said that SSU works only for international, not sure if it works in US carriers like Metropcs. Lastly, I tried looking for unlock codes from paid websites, but they don't have offer any unlock codes.
I need some help with this, if you have a tutorial or know how to please help me. Thanks :fingers-crossed:

I'm currently running 4.4.2 with root on Samsung note 3 N900A. I've unlocked the device so I'd like to know how to update to 5.0 without losing the unlock. I've never flashed roms before but if I have to will I lose the unlock? I can't switch to AT&T since i'm in Australia.
Thanks

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
Luckily, upgrading/changing ROM's does not affect the SIM (un)lock status. If you are SIM unlocked (btw, by the model number of your phone, you have the AT&T version), upgrading will not change that status.
This thread will provide your OTA details:
> AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 3 > AT&T Galaxy Note 3 General > [ROM][Guide][FULL ODIN FILES][ATT][OC1][OTA with KEEP ROOT][Soft Brick FIX]
Post 4 is convoluted, it should help on rooting the phone for Lollipop if the above leaves you with an unrooted phone (and if you wanted root - I imagine so, to freeze/get rid of the AT&T bloat).
> AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 3 > AT&T Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [Q] Att Note 3 on Lollipop
Any questions, can ask in either of the above mentioned threads, once you have an XDA account.
Hope this helps, and good luck!

Hi
I tried to follow along with the instructions but there wasn't enough information for me to follow along. I was unable to understand what tools and applications were being used and ended up wiping my entire device.
If there is a more detailed set of instructions that would be great. I am also unable to use Odin as I have a mac. Tried running it in vmware but I just keep getting errors.
Thanks

If you are using a Mac, scope this thread out:
> AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 3 > AT&T Galaxy Note 3 General > [12/29] Restore for MJ5 --Doesn't trip Knox and optionally provides root
Heimdall is crossplatform. Read the thread, then ask there how the steps will be different for your situation (Mac of course; also detail what the exact Android version & build number you are coming from - found in settings -> about phone - to make sure there are no conflicts)
I won't know the answer to that question - they will.
Hope this helps.
