[Completed] [Q] Phone won't charge, 3 vibrates after 2 red led flash - XDA Assist

I took my phone, Sony Xperia Z1 Compact, yesterday on the pool then took some pics, then I noticed the screen turn dark then lighted up again. At first, I thought it was just normal because its in the water. Then my phone just died. Take note that these events just happen in a span of 5mins. or less. I wiped it out soon after removed the micro-sim and sd card which was wet then figured out that water leaked with all the safety covers closed (I checked it for about 5 times before I go on the pool and I'm pretty sure it was all closed). I can't take it to support center by now cause the LDI has changed colors. I tried and put it on a bag of rice air sealed. Been there for almost 30 hour, but still i can't make it to turn on. Then I charge, It responded with a 2 red led lights and 3 vibrations simultaneously. I just had this phone for 5 months and am afraid to tell it to my parents cause it took them a lot of cash to buy it for me. please help me. PS. I tried to connect it to the PC, still making the light and vibration response, recognized but as an S1boot firmware, the power+up button, the hard reset button on the sim slot. Still no other response other than the light/vibrations

This seems like a hardware fault to me.
You can take it to sony thought and they might be able to assist you.
Also sometimes credit card and extended warranty will cover such destruction. Of course that depends on if you used a credit card with such features or have an extended warranty that covers water damage...
Cheers.

[Completed] [Q] Sony Xperia SP Dropped in Toilet

I dropped my Sony Xperia SP in the toilet. I wasn't able to turn it off right away because the screen went black. In the right light, I could faintly see it and I could still feel it vibrating, so I knew it was on, but I couldn't power it off. I finally managed to turn it off and put it in a bag of rice overnight. When I turned it on again, the screen was completely black. I could feel it vibrate and the light flashed to indicate that I had a new text, but the screen was black. Is there anything I can do to fix it or is there a way to turn it off so I can at least prevent any more damage until I can take it to be fixed?
Hi,
You can ask here for opinions,
> Sony Xperia SP > Xperia SP Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
But usually water shorts components in our devices and trying to fix it can get costly and usually ends poorly. You replace one component and find out something else is wrong. Best to save your money for a new device. In my humble opinion.
Good luck!

[Completed] Sony Xperia Z3 Display not working

Hi, so today I took my Sony Xperia Z3 into the bath with me today. The phone is quoted to be waterproof to 1.5m for 30 minutes. When I went into the shower, both flaps were secured and closed properly and I made sure that both the ports were completely covered. I don't bath for long periods of time, definitely not 30 minutes but the phone was still submerged. When I left the bath, both flaps were still secured and ports properly covered. However, roughly 10 minutes out of the shower, I went to plug in my headphones and suddenly the display on the phone started to fade. This has NEVER happened before. The screen began fading and eventually went black. I opened the flaps out and I did see a bit of water on the other side of the flaps. I believe that the device itself still works, because the phone vibrates from notifications and the LED indicator light still works. This phone is fairly new and this isn't the first time I've taken the phone and submerged it into my bath. However, this is the first time I've actually encountered the problem. I bought the phone in late May so there is still warranty on the phone (warranty up to a year). I called the store where I bought the phone but they told me SONY doesn't cover water damage. I've taken out the sim card and sd card and I've left the flaps open for a long time and still the display refuses to work. What should I do?

Hi,
Thanks for using XDA assist.
Even though your phone is IP65 and IP68 rated, did you make sure that all ports and covers are firmly closed (mentioned in Sony website)? For more specialized help, your thread will be moved to the Xperia M2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum. There are experts there who can help you out. Please note that in order to respond to any replies, you need to create a XDA account.

Screen won't turn on but responsive to touch after water damaged. (xperia J)

So, a few days ago I accidentally dropped my Xperia J into water. Then, I took it and dry it using towel. I opened the case, battery, SIM, and SDcard. After that I put it into uncooked rice for 1 and half day. Then, I tried to turn on the phone. The phone is turned on but the screen isn't. But it is responsive to touch because I can unlock it (my phone is locked in pattern and I memorize it). I can also touch the home button and the sound button work fine too. So my problem is, I cannot see anything in the screen. It is just like I never turn on the phone. Should I let it into rice for a few days more? Or is there any electric shock in the phone? How can I fix this? Thanks.
No one replied my problem? It's been a week, I'm still waiting for someone to help. But no response :/
Maybe no one knows. My guess is that you damage the digitalizer, so you need to replace it or go to mobile repair shop.
Good Luck!
