How to root canvas 2 on jelly bean ? Solution found!!!!!!

Guys i hve found a way to root canvas 2 on jelly bean
just follow these steps:-
1.download and place the attached file to your sd card
2.boot into recovery mod by pressing power,volume up and volume down together
3.now move down to install zip from sd card and locate the file u placed in your sd card
4.select the downloaded file and done!!!!!
Enjoy ur rooted phone

respected sir i have a rooted device .. ruuning on jb everything is fine .. but the problem iss wid storage .. the internal sd has now xpanded to 2.5 gb .. and is split into two parts .. 500 mb and 2 gb .. the apps which are being installed .. ar going dat 500 mb drive whic i dont want .. and comin to moving dat app is only to xternal sd card . i want 2 gb to used which is inst please help thanking u in anticipation

ok buddy are you on official rom or some custom rom?, in either case i think you will need to re flash the official jelly bean update via sp tool
you will loose your data, but it will solve your problem, if you dont want that, then you can try changing the default rite disk to external sd, in the settingd menu of the phone, but i would advise reflashing the official rom via sp tool

In options choose external sd as your default disk

How can I manually edit ebr files to increase system storage capacity? I've already increased internal storage capacity from .98gb to 2.95gb reducing internal sdcard capacity.

[CWM] recovery for Micromax A108 L

Hello everyone,
here i m uploading the cwm recovery for Newly launched Micromax A108 L and also the file for repartition of internal memory to 5 gb.
please make the backup of you phone before doing this........
process for flashing the cwm recovery & partition:
- just install the driver first (google it)
- open the SP tool & load the given scatter file MT6582
- select the given cwm rcovery, EBR1 EBR2 file
- click on download button.
- connect the phone with battery & wait for flashing.....
with cwm recovery you can also root the phone by flashing latest supersu.zip.
done, you got the 5 gb internal memory instead of 0.89gb.
note: if you got the error of internal sd card damage, then just format the same & again mount.
enjoy..........

Also i got hold of the jellybean ROM which is for MyPhone Ocean Pro but unfortunately it bricked the device. I some how got back the device working and rooted the device.
Official stock kitkat rom for MMX A108

I created a CWM from the MTK Droid Tools, got hold of a zip file. Put the Zip file in the sdcard. Flashed the CWM through SPFLASH. installed the zip through CWM.

with readback option, you have tag the value from scatter file to back up the entire rom, then from you can make the CWM recovery. (google it for further details, how to backup MTK rom with readback option).

urgent help
I do have canvas a108 and really i m fed up of 1.2 gb storage always get an error of insufficient space whenever download apps from google play store.. i m really lucky to see this post only on xda and that too only from you..my question is for partitioning of space to 5gb from default 1.25gb as it is only allocated for apps frm mmx.my question to you is as i m newbie to android root pls help me and reply me but i do understand everything as i m aware of roots of other platforms..
Question is to increse space to 5gb for apps from 1.25gb default i have to first root my micromax canvas a108 or by following steps in ur post i can increse my storage space directly..
2. If i need to restore back to default 1.25gb memory how to return it back..
3. Will otg usb pen drive will work even after this method as its working now.
4.wat if i remove mmc card and put again ..
5.how to revert back to default memory space
Being a senior member i hope u will help me as i do have trust and faith on u and being a same phone owner i m really waiting for my ans so that i can follow this steps and increase storge space for apps..i hope u will really help me.. thanks a lot waiting to hear..

its 1.25gb not 0.89
U mentioned 0.89 but actually its 1.25 gb so really confused that this post is genuinely for canvas l a108 or some other phone like unite2

I Thanks for the recovery. It has changed my phone storage to 5GB. But issue is all application are trying to keep the data on internal sd card which is 800+ MB only. I can not use some of the applications as the internal sd card do not have have enough space. The application are not checking data on external sd card.
Can you help me with this please?

The img works proper with me try downloading again with another browser or from another forum for micromax a 108

[Repartition][Without pc] Increase apps storage in Micromax A106 Unite 2

Micromax Unite 2 comes with 0.89 GB of phone storage for apps installation. 0.89 GB is not enough for apps. We can increase this memory by data repartition.
You need:
1. CWM recovery (Flashing guide)
2. EBRs (Download any one zip file from below link, also download stock partition file)
a) For Jellybean 4 GB ROM (Download)
b) For Kitkat 4 GB ROM (Download)
c) For Jellybean 8 GB ROM (Download)
d) For Kitkat 8 GB ROM (Download)
3. Micromax Unite 2 / Myphone Rio Lite
Note:
Internal memory = Total ROM - ( 1.44 GB + apps memory)
If ROM is 8 GB and phone memory is 2.5 GB then internal memory will be 4 GB.
Make Backups before flashing:
1. Recovery backup (Guide)
NOTE: You don't need a rooted phone for repartition. Factory reset is required after flashing EBRs so please make recovery backup or titanium backup if you want to restore data. Install App Backup and Restore from play store to backup apks. Move all data like pictures, videos and other files from internal sd card to external sd card or pen drive.
To repartition phone storage follow these steps:

Thank you for this very useful thread. My app storage space in my Micromax Unite2 has gone from 0.89GB to 2.5GB. But i have a question for u. Now that i have 2.5GB app storage space, can i upgrade from kitkat to lollipop via OTA update? i Had previously done that but had to go back to kitkat coz of storage issues. Please suggest me wether installing lollipop from OTA will again get the storage space to 0.89GB or will it be the same as now i.e. 2.5Gb???

I also successfully increased my app storage space to 2.5gb. i also have the same qn now. But as much as i know u don't need to unroot ur device to upgrade it to lollipop via OTA update. i did it in the rooted condition itself and lollipop got installed without any issues. But i had to go back to kitkat bcoz of the storage issue. I got it back to kitkat at a micromax service center as my phone was still under warranty then. please tell me if u have upgraded then what happened???

Trouble shooting while getting flash recovery guide
hi friends,
i'm using micromax unite 2, my apps memory is too low, so i try to increase it upto 2.5 gb By your guidance. I got zip files, and partition file. But i cant get the flash recovery guide, it shows that blogger was blocked, so please help me

storage demaged
My phone storage got demaged and after wiping cache and delvik cache my phone not started not responding. After pressing start button it always show Android sign and not booting rom..what should i do now ???

You Need To backup Your Data on Sdcard....
Otherwise You can't Restore it.

Difference between both files
Kindly do explain what is the difference between both zip files. detail plz

Hi, I have a bangla friend who is using this device.. recently infected by a virus and i want to install a new rom for him.. preferrably xperia... but want to increase apps storage. I see 2 files.. can some one help me to understand what those 2 files are?
1 is for sure to increase internal space-- the other is for reverting back to stock rom app storage?? please confirm
