[Q] Need Help with increasing the default internal storage (1gb) Of XOLO Q3000

Hello Guys, i am pretty new here. I was searching online any way to increase the internal storage of XOLO Q3000 and i landed up on this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2742702&page=2 .. User puduraja has explained that it can be done.
My sincere request is if possible can we have a video tutorial for this ? It will really help ...
P.S - I have downloaded all the files user puduraja has mentioned there.

Hi i have downloaded the official release of kitkat by xolo as on official site but in terms of memory for application storage xolo states u need to increase the table size to increase the application storage memory can some1 plz help with step by step process for doing the same i ateast required 4-8 gb of storage for applications

That meteos App will work only if the phone is rooted right ??? But in Kitkat i tried to root using the VRoot latest one provided by you but unfortunately it failed so i did the following steps to get that Application storage Increased.
1.)Re-flashed the Jelly bean Stock Rom using SP Flash tools
2.)Rooted using Frama Root
3.)Installed the Meteos App and increased the Application storage to 5GB(Need to Format after applying that operation to increase Application storage using Phone recovery option to get desired storage)
4.)Unrooted the Phone by checking the Full permanent unroot in SU App
5.)Updated with Stock Kitkat Rom(Update.zip provided in XOLO website) which is working perfectly with Increased Application Storage.
The whole above process took around 10 mins hardly i hope this will be helpful for other users who wanted their XOLO to be in Stock mode with increased application storage.

Yes ur correct:good:
but the biggest issue with kitkat phones
they cant revert back to jellybean that easily
And if they using kitkat there internal memory is already 4gb
how much more u want and why i don't know.
as this is just the data memory and not the actual system memory to be precise.
I personally never had issue with rooting kitkat but other r having issues
so if ur rooted then u can increase the internal memory.
if not to increase internal memory u need to use ebr files and flash them with spflash tools.

Firstly thanks for all the help.
This is how i managed to increase the internal memory
( My phone did not format and i did not lose any files or even contacts )
Use the files from the link here ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2742702&page=2 )
1. I opened the flash tool.
2. loaded the scatter file provided.
3. Unchecked everything except the 2 ebr files.
4. Loaded the 2 EBR files provided in the folder XOLO_Q3000_S003_15102013.
5. Clicked download
6. Connected the phone without the battery.
7. It was done in matter of seconds.
(I did not have to root my phone or do any other separate process)
It is Important to have proper drivers which are also provided in the above thread.
After rebooting phone said that format sd card or something, i clicked yes.After another reboot when i checked, nothing was actually erased.
So i am pretty satisfied now that my phones internal memory is not always full.

I recently upgraded from 1GB internal memory to 7GB for xolo q3k
I started my journey by googling "xolo q3000 increase internal memory"

Following above link i got everything i need to do...thanks a lot to all xdadevelopers and puduraja for posting such a nice guide and tools/softwares.
NOTE:
Very first task for me to connect the q3000 (q3k) with SPFT (Smart Phone Flash Tool),
but after many trials i am able to connect it,
what i was missed out is , to connect the phone after removing the battery.....Alas i get it done,

8. After reboot format internal sd card .
How to format internal sd card? I format via windows after connecting phone in usb-drive mode (it doesn't recognized by system, but have size about 3-4 gb) and after this my phone dont reboot, so i have to refresh firmware via sp flash tool.

Easy to repartition without CWM or pc flashing

i tried your tool on a gionee p6 that has twrp ( i choosed 2.5gb) , then wiped every partition and tried install different roms but none worked, they were working before i use the tool.
for info: i had an sd card plugged after rebbot when twrp script has been executed

Phone storage is missing after flashing
Dear Sir,
I successfully flashed the rom for my Q3000 (S011_25022014). What I did simply was replaced/merged the ROM contents as provided as per your post (only the ebr 1 and ebr2 files). After that when I started my phone the Internal storage has increased but the Phone storage is not accessible.
When I try to see it in settings It shows Mount Phone Storage option, when I click on that it tries to open and calculate the storage but goes in a few seconds with the message - Phone storage safe to remove.
Connecting it to computer as USB Storage displays the message that "the disk needs to be formatted before you can use it". Show the SD Card contents although.
Can this storage be accessed back? Or it is supposed to work like that only?

( Now chose your storage requirement, 193,246 or 273 or 7z which corresponds to 1.93, 2.46, 2.73 and 7 GB internal space. Both and respective EBR1 and EBR2 has to loaded and please take care. )

Root the device, use philz latest recovery, then use rom edit for 8/16
Gb and select partition size, press ok n reboot to recovery. Now select factory reset n reboot. Done , it will take time as long as the 1st boot. Chk the phone storage n app storage. Prefer the partition size 4/5 gb.:thumbup::thumbup:

sir i have read the posts regarding flashing the memory of xoloq3000 to 7 gb internal storage which seems very impressive.
currently my device zolo q3000 is running on kikat final version 4.4.2 by xolo , but as the problem prevails that the internal storage has not been increased due to some random reason.
i though of flashing the phone following the instructions which were provided earlier but the kernel version dated late 2013 begged the question that would this flash work or would it result in most dreaded outcome of bricking the phone?
not having much of the knowledge about how it works , there should be no harm in asking the experts about the solution or atleast the answer to the above question.
therefore, it's my very humble request to the experts please guide me and people like me through the flashing process of zolo q3000 running on kitkat 4.4.2 ver-28102014.
lastly a heartful thanks to all those who put in their important time in post solutions to problems faced by us technically challenged population.

have u taken any backup in recovery before flashing this??
If yes then restore
if not then u need to flash whole rom all over again.
If u want Jelly bean then read this
if kitkat read this.

In laptop i clicked the flash tool exe & select this file "MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt" from XOLO_Q3000_S003_15102013 directory. May be i am wrong & please explain step by step. You need:
1. CWM recovery (Flashing guide)
2. EBRs (Download any one zip file from below link, also download stock partition file)
a) For Jellybean 4 GB ROM (Download)
b) For Kitkat 4 GB ROM (Download)
c) For Jellybean 8 GB ROM (Download)
d) For Kitkat 8 GB ROM (Download)
3. Micromax Unite 2 / Myphone Rio Lite
Note:
Internal memory = Total ROM - ( 1.44 GB + apps memory)

Thank you for this very useful thread. My app storage space in my Micromax Unite2 has gone from 0.89GB to 2.5GB. But i have a question for u. Now that i have 2.5GB app storage space, can i upgrade from kitkat to lollipop via OTA update? i Had previously done that but had to go back to kitkat coz of storage issues. Please suggest me wether installing lollipop from OTA will again get the storage space to 0.89GB or will it be the same as now i.e. 2.5Gb???

I also successfully increased my app storage space to 2.5gb. i also have the same qn now. But as much as i know u don't need to unroot ur device to upgrade it to lollipop via OTA update. i did it in the rooted condition itself and lollipop got installed without any issues. But i had to go back to kitkat bcoz of the storage issue. I got it back to kitkat at a micromax service center as my phone was still under warranty then. please tell me if u have upgraded then what happened???

My phone storage got demaged and after wiping cache and delvik cache my phone not started not responding. After pressing start button it always show Android sign and not booting rom..what should i do now ???
