Yes and no, not at all.

it depends on wether your provider supports it. keep on if yes, off if no

Did they ever fix JD for the Charge?

I remember a few months ago we heard the Juice Defender team say that they were going to add support for the Charge but I haven't heard anything about it since. Is our device supported yet? I can't seem to find a definitive answer on Google or the XDA search engine.
I'm only curious because I've been hearing people on XDA/Rootz say that they were using JD which leads me to believe it's working.

It doesn't cut out your data or anything? No issues with getting certain settings that toggle data to work?

Tested it out and JD seems to be working. Awesome!
i personally use balanced mode so it doesnt interfere too much with the system process
The issue was a bug with the implementation of Froyo on the phone, not with JD. Gingerbread fixed the issue (and did so from the very first leaks).
when i was using it, it mainly worked, but i ended up uninstalling it because a lot of the time my data wouldnt come back and id have to toggle data and that became a real annoyance.

That was a Froyo issue. It's never been a problem in GB.

And it did save a lot of battery for me

yes a agree with you. but if i want save battery meaning must the screen is off! if the screen isn't off the battery level down immediately. no one app boost the level! you must close all apps and do not nothing!
looks like your battery is bad, there's no other way to boost battery level when other than that. But some people says kernel can boost it, but i don't believe it anyway

did 4.4.3 solve battery issue?

as the title suggests did 4.4.3 solve battery issues bcoz i m planning to buy the device
Which battery issues?

What battery issues? Ive had none. People that complain about battery issues are usually the ones creating them by not watching their apps and regulating them when needed..

well you gotta listen better and not to the people that create their own problems. PLUS battery life is based on everything done by the user.
There was a recognised bug about camera that would eat battery that should have been fixed but honestly I never faced it with previous versions. Try searching the Web or aosp commits for more info.
The only battery issue I can think of (aside from the camera_daemon one) is the nlpwakelocks which are caused by location ping. But neither bug is only Nexus related - other devices have them too and both can be avoided with workarounds.

Google service drain?

Perhaps you should go into your accounts and stop many of the the Google services from syncing. I only have Calendar, Contacts and Gmail on. That might help with battery life.

Make sure you read the last post, it streamlines the process, I just haven't had time to update the OP.

Why would they do that? The whole point of having a smartphone is having instantaneous access to your info and using these features. This is a known bug affecting many. Supposedly oneplus one will fix this with the next ota update.

Things running constantly so that you can have instantaneous and continuous access will drain battery-operated electronics. That's nothing unique with OPO, other smartphones, or any other electronic device which runs on a battery.

Yes it will drain your battery, but not excessively like the google services bug present in cm11s. Most people don't buy a smartphone to have everything turned off on it. My g3 has all the same things constantly active and battery is a beast on it.

That is a great suggestion for a temporary battery life improvement but hopefully the update coming from oneplus will resolve it permanently. I hope it does, I really like this phone but will switch over to the g3 permanently if it doesn't get fixed.
this did the trick on mine. I made this video for couple friends
just stop all the services and do immediate reboot
should be fine after

Once you reboot, the process starts again, so they are running again. Por thats TVE way it should be?.

I have exact same issue !! check my posts in Franco kernel thread in original development !! Initially i thought it was due to CM11S battery drain. But then franco has already fixed it in latest kernel and i have this google search performing atleat 250 wakelocks overnight and draining the battery !!!!

Yup, you'll have to do a system dump, probably need to unlock boot loader etc, but chainfire is someone you'll want to reach out to.
Also, would love to know battery life!!

What carrier or is it international brand? AT&T and Verizon have locked the bootloaders in the past making it hard to root!
Also can you show some of the theme changer in the settings, thanks.

Any screenshots yet regarding battery life? =)
It will be good for us, thanks!
When you get around to posting battery life screenshots can you make sure to post screen on time, brightness level, and what you used the phone for so that the number are more meaningful.
Nah, is normal
Yeah sorry I hadnt had a chance to get on XDA and respond. Battery life to be complete honest I am demoing the device 24/7 and so far on hard usage i'm getting 6-7 hours. But thats with the phone on full brightness and pushing the phone to its limits. Tomorrow I will be able to provide accurate battery life i will a free day and will be able to see how long it last without demoing it all the time.
I will so provide screen shots of my battery from yesterday and a screen shot from today.
Thanks for putting in contact with the right people I will contact them and do a system dump and hopefully get this started.
Maybe you can post sot time
Can you upload its Firmware? So we can extract some interesting stuff?
thanks
Yeah, screen on time (SOT) is the only battery metric that means anything to me.

You guys are so wrong on that one.
SOT is probably the worst way to tell a phones battery life.
Were Bluetooth, Locations and other things on? Screen brightness? What apps installed? What was on the screen? A web page? Gaming? (remember this is amoled and darks are easier than whites too).
This really needs to stop because it seems to have spread to a point where more and more people are calling this a metric when it's not.
There are way too many unknown factors that will greatly effect SOT.
He right. We need all the info not just SOT.
