Hi there,
I have problems with my O3D suddenly my phone loop in to the boot animation!!
I cant enter to recovery!!!! the pc dectect but intermittent ..... sound like i plug and unplug the usb but i let it plug.
somebody tell me that the mainboard is damage... how can i check that?
Regards
Was your phone rooted
Had you installed a custom recovery.
try to boot into stock recovery.
Hold down 3d button then volume down then press power button . As soon as you see it booting let go the power button but keep pressing the 3d button and vol down. Try 3 -4 times and see if it boots into recovery. If yes then just do a factory reset and reboot normal.

Alright so I believe I bricked my 3D - I was messing around.. Long story short, when I boot up, it loops at the CM7 logo over and over. I have to take my battery out to power off. Now I can't seem to find a way to boot into recovery mode or anything. As soon as I put the battery in, the phone turns on without me touching anything. I don't know what to do... Help please!

When phone turns on push the power button for 5-6 second should turn off. Once phone is off press vol- 3d button and power button. Release the power button when lg logo appear and u should boot up into recovery

Are you sure? I Held the Volume down button, then the 3D button, and then power. The LG Logo came up, then the phone turned off...
Okay thanks got it now - When I go to restore, it says MD5 mismatch..?
I never needed the 3D button to enter Recovery.
I just hold down Vol Down and Power, wait for the Screen to turn on (LG logo) and then release the Power Button but keep the Vol Down pressed.
That always works for me unless the AC adapter is connected. Then I can't boot into recovery that way.

In Recovery mode go to Advanced -> Show Log. There you can see what files are giving you the md5 mismatch.
Then:
a) If some of your backup files has a name with spaces, change them to "_" and try again,
b) If the md5 problem is only with file android_secure.vfat.tar, edit the file nandroid.md5 in your PC with a text editor (notepad) and delete that filename (android_secure.vfat.tar) AND its checksum from nandroid.md5. Save nandroid.md5 and replace it in your SDcard. Try to restore again in Recovery.
Good luck,

I have the same problem as Arigo with the CM7 loop, I have done everything listed here to do and I am still stuck in the loop when I turn my phone back on.
Any other ideas for me?
So i flashed ics yesterday, today i was surfing and suddnely tablet shut down, it does not react to charging, buttons not waking it up. Tried rebooting, held button for like 1 minute, tablet seems to be bricked. Any ideas, or should i give it to service?
Try holding power and vol+ for at least 10 seconds, and keep holding it. or try power and volume down for 10+ seconds.
should attempt to get you into recovery or download mode.use ODIN for flashing ICS firmware try sammobile.com/firmwares......
Before carrying out wipe data, factory reset......
I agree im not sure but a combination of pressing and holding power+volume up or power+volume down should boot your device into recovery.

wow strange one.
jeesh. random death. yikes.
Ok. I bought this Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 from a friend for cheap because I thought I could fix it, but I'm running out of options. It's in a boot loop, but an abnormal boot loop. If it's unplugged, It will do the splash screen (Samsung) boot loop. If it's plugged in, either into the wall or into my computer via usb, it will do a battery (charging) boot loop. It's kinda weird. I used to have an Epic 4G and it happened damn near all the time, without the battery loop, but it would charge normally.
I haven't successfully gotten it to boot into Download mode.
If any of you have come across this issue, please feel free to help me out.
I also attached a picture of me attempting to put it in download mode. It reboots if I hit either VOL up or VOL down.
Thanks

Can you get into recovery? Also, have you tried unplugging the charging cable and getting into download mode with the cable unplugged?
I'm not sure how to get into recovery. With it unplugged, all I have to do hold the VOL Down physical button and ti will take me to a "are you sure you want to put the device into download mode screen". I apologize. I'm not to familiar with this device.
Edit: After I get to the screen where it asks me if i want to go into download mode, it reboots within 5-10 seconds, no matter which button I press

Hold power and Volume up (volume button closest to the power button) until the tab shuts off and reboots itself and then you can let go of both buttons. If it works, try doing a factory reset. Was this tablet rooted (or have a custom rom installed) in the past?

As far as I know it's been on Stock. My GTab ignores me holding the Power and Volume up keys at the same time and keeps the boot loop going strong.

Then I guess you can (and need) to send it in for warranty service (or replacement).

No, his device is fine.
If your device bricked, but still showing Gtab2 logo on it, it's still fine. You need to flash to stock 4.03 rom via ODIN. (Not clockworkmod)
Warranty won't work if you have flashed custom ROM before.

He needs to be able to get into Download Mode to use Odin. He stated that he can't. When he tried to continue into download mode by pressing volume up (vol. button closes to power button) the tablet reboots. It needs warranty service.
Experiments:
Power off the tab completely and charge completely and press power +volume up for 10 seconds then release, also try to power off and press power+ volume down for 10 seconds then release do you see any screens
If it says do you want to enter download mode or so press volume up and see if you could see (downloading) try also the same with volume down instead of up
Try to connect to computer do you see any messages indicating connections
Also try to connect to kies and try restore or recover firmware from options of kies
You said it reboots after 5 to 10 seconds so try to open odin and try to go to download mode and when you press volume up try as quickly as possible to connect tab to pc while odin is open

There's other method by using OpenRecovery (OR), by putting OR on external SdCard,
but it seems the OR for Gtab2 is not developed yet -__-
My Atrix II got an OTA recently to 4.0.4 and now it gets the Battery OK, Ok top program, plug in USB DATA cable.
I managed to get to the screen with an Recovery option but no matter what I do it just boots into safe mode.
Any help would be great. I searched but found other device threads only.
If you power down the phone, hold down BOTH volume rockers, then hold down the power button down, it should boot into fastboot. Then use the down volume to select normal power up and see what it does.

Hold vol down and power. Once it shuts off release power. Keep holding vol down and press power for 2 sec til boot loader pops up.
