I can't get my XT1033 4.4.4 converted to GPE 4.4.4 to boot. I have followed the guide to convert my XT1033 to XT1032 in order to be converted to GPE 4.4.4. However, flashing GPE 4.4.4 downloaded from MEGA causes the phone to get stuck on boot logo stage. Can someone please tell me why this is happening? I really want to try MIUI. Flashing MIUI over XT1032 causes constant forcecloses as soon as I call someone. So I have to convert it further to GPE to flash MIUI.
Any help would be appreciated.

Just an update: I managed to boot it but using the 'mfastboot' command instead of 'fastboot' and flashed the filed individually. All's working now. Hope this helps others :victory:.

Actually i on android 4.4.4 in the moto g gpe the original one not the converted one and i flash philz recovery and accidentally pressed the clean rom option in wipe data settings and my didnt boot any more it stucks in the google logo and i tried gpe 4.4.2 firmware but no use.
and also i tried with replace files gpt.bin and logo.bin from 4.4.4 and put in 4.4.2 and flash but no use it still stucks at google logo...... pls help me ....................plssss:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

Maybe this might help. Try and format Data and Data/Media in Philz Recovery and then try flashing with the 4.4.4 gpt.bin and 4.4.2 firmware.
I just got out of such a predicament using that approach..

I am planning to give a try flashing the CM12 over GPE 4.4.2... So can I convert my Moto G running 4.4.4 Retail stock to GPE 4.4.2 ? I tried searching the forum, couldnt find any guide.. Can anyone help me with the steps I should skip while flashing the GPE 4.4.2 over 4.4.4 stock rom..

convert ut xt1033 using this guide here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2739919 and download the cm12 anerik build flash twrp recovery after converting ur phone then in recovery mode clear data,cache and system now flash the rom reboot ur phone it will take some time to boot up then again reboot to recovery and flash dsp fix again reboot to recovery and flash superuser beta v2.27 thats all enjoy the lolipop hit thanks if i helped

Hi, i've been reading a lot of posts explaining how to do "GPE LP to KK", and other things, but i want to know if i can flash the BR 5.0.2 firmware image directly above my 5.0.1 GPE without any problems. Thanks in advance
If you manually flash the stock BR 5.02 to each partition using fastboot commands, you should be fine. Every file will flash except for the motoboot file. I say this because I was able to flash stock Telus 4.4.4 on an xt1032 that I converted to the GPE edition.
So doesn't matter if motoboot refuse to flash, because GPE and Stock LP have the same included, right?
For me, stock 4.4.4 and stock 5.02 both worked on my xt1032 with bootloader 41.18.
Even if you tried to flash an older bootloader, it would fail the validation check.
Ok finally i managed to downgrade to EU retail 4.4.4 and then OTA to 5.0.2. All the process was great. Thank you for your help [emoji4]
im using moto g xt1033 with gpe 5.1 i converted it to gpe and updated it to 5.1. i tried installing custom recovery and there are glitches occurring in recovery i ignored that and tried installing custom rom based on lollipop . i couldnt install any custom rom based on lollipop. please help me install custom lollipop in my phone.thanks in advance.

Flash a gpt.bin file of some other firmware and then flash a ROM or flash GPE 4.4.4 firmware and then continue.

i will get glitches when i flash 4.4.4 gpe .it wont be a problem right and i need to know that weather i can directly downgrade from 5.1gpe to 4.4.4 gpe

Yes you can directly downgrade. Avoid flashing motoboot.IMG since as of now there are changes of bricking. You'll have screen flicker only on GPE 4.4.4. After flashing thee screen will not flicker any more.

what to flash to avoid flickering
Guys when i flashed cm13 on xt1033 gpe, calls & message were not working so i flash xt1033 stock via adb. After flashing stock when i rebooted the phone android dead sign was appearing on the screen. I somehow managed to flash gpe and worked. Is there any way for forcess.zip to work again on marshmallow?
