Hi. Not sure where this goes but I haven't seen this broken out before. I took the liberty to break out each provider's plans by GB cost break down. Allow me to explain;
1. This breakdown reflects US pricing/availability only and from the top carriers (no pre-paid). I can branch this out to other carriers should this become popular.
2. Each provider has data promotions happening right now (until 10/31/14). I've taken those in to account.
3. I've created comparison formatting for the price breakdowns from VZW to AT&T exclusively as they're the biggest providers in the US at the time of this posting. Blue represents AT&T and appears where it is cheaper than VZW (red). Green highlighted text shows where costs are the same.
4. None of these numbers take in to account availability/coverage/etc - it's simple math of GB per dollar.
5. Numbers take in to account per device costs and break down by most popular plans of either 2 device or 4 device family share plans (no single lines) and does not take in to account taxes.

I have attached the Open Development VZW LTE/3G device specs here for December 2010 (latest release, there is probably going to be a release in Jan. of the three main documents) for those that don't want to register with VZW:

Remember, VZW is going TOTALLY OPEN like AT&T now and doesn't care much about anything as long as it doesn't screw around/degrade with their network. With LTE data caps you're paying for the data anyways whether you are tethered or not.

Here's a comparison chart I just created of warranty and insurance coverage for smart phones.
Comparison is between SquareTrade, Worth Ave Group, ToughCell, and Sprint TEP. I did not include others as I am not really familiar with them or haven't heard of them. I have Sprint, worked with SquareTrade, and will probably be going with Worth Ave Group in the near future. I did my best to be as accurate as possible but things may be different! Feel free to suggest corrections and/or additions. I'll update/fix it and repost whenever I get the chance.

Why do these service providers make the international mobiles so gay and change the whole design just to take the exclusivity !!!
for example the Galaxy S II GT-I9100 , the whole world use the one in the pic below

and many other smart phones and mobiles
Why they never follow earth standard?? why do they like to be so gay!!
I only need to know for what reasons they do it
While I agree the US does get a lot of cool phones, we get shafted up the ass w/out the lube over plan pricing and what features are locked/done away with vs what is unlocked/allowed to the rest of the world.
It's a real trade off and I'd rather have a phone the rest of the world already has with better pricing/data options and tabs that can make phone calls.

I got a text message on my phone today from Cricket. It told me Cricket and AIO have or are currently in the process of merging and gave me a link in the text for more info regarding what will happen and change during this transition.

check it out for yourself. It gives less than ANY info. It does say though, that Cricket users will be required to buy a new device at some point when the merge is completed to continue to recieve service.
I bought my Samsung galaxy s3 from Cricket in early December.
It is 4g LTE compatible and uses a sim card, even though it says clearly throughout the Cricket site that they use CDMA devices.
Does this mean it can still be used after the merge, or will I STILL need to buy a new device? I believe it is a gsm compatible device.
I will include a picture of my phone, with the back cover showing it is a Cricket phone that has a sim card slot. That actually has a sim card in it.
