I really hope you didn't attempt to flash any of the Moto X to your HD. If so, kiss your HD goodbye. Never, EVER, flash a different phone's ROM images to a phone that they are not made for. If you do, perma-brick.
You really need to go here -> http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/topic/54379-fxz-442-1834615/

That's a brick. No one has been able to recover and no one has been able to get the Moto X method to work.

I just don't understand why people continue to do things like this and them expect some magic pill to fix the issue. Sigh.

It looks like he bricked it before using anything for the X. Supposedly, that recovery tool for the X should work on the Razrs, but no one has made it work yet.

by use qpst 2.7.422 flash MPRG8960.HEX(MOTO X'S file above),Now,my xt926 led can green light, but still Bricked\Blank Screen\ No Boot Options. it seems that moto x's mprg8960.hex not mach xt926's.
how i can do next ?? any one who can help me or any Suggestions!! thanks:highfive:

Dude, it's bricked, permanently. You flashed the incorrect image which has corrupted trusted partitions that you no longer have write access to. It's bricked. I don't know how many other ways we can say it. The only way to fix the phone is to get a new motherboard.
It's now a paper weight.

[Q] Need Latest xt926 NA/US firmware

I have the Developer Edition RAZR HD with an unlocked bootloader. There is a new OTA (9-18-94 and 9-30-1) which failed to install correctly, sending me to the Fastboot screen "permanently".
All research points to needing to RSD-Lite the failed firmware (or newer). The trouble is, this is very new (11-5-2013), and I'm not finding the firmware. Can anyone point me to it, or do I just need to wait.
I can try going to Verizon, but that sounds awful.
Thanks all.
Is it the second one in this list?
http://sbf.droid-developers.org/vanquish/list.php
It's possible, since that list doesn't have dates on it of any sort. The new update is 9-18-94 and the 2nd list item says 9-8-94 (kind of). In any case, I'll try it.
EDIT: Naw, that one was posted in July. This new one literally push OTA on 11/5/13. Thank you though.

Check out the Dev P3Droid's 11/4/13 Tweet with a link for a large file for the XT926. You may need to ask him for details.

Thanks for the lead. The link he tweeted is "temporarily unavailable" so I've asked him about it. Seriously, thanks.
You're welcome! He's an awesome Dev IMO. Also, you could contact Shane Starnes (@Droidmodderx) to ask whether he d/l this file.

The file link mentioned by RikRong above should be the current build for VRZ XT926: 9.8.1Q-94 build at sbf.droid-developers.org. This build number matches the build number on my phone after the OTA. The system version starts with 9.18, but the build number starts with 9.8.

OK, so even though the OTA came out 11/5/2013 and this firmware was added 7/11/2013, you think it's the same build?
More than happy to try it. Now I'm fighting RSD lite which is giving me Fastboot command not found errors. I'll try once my kids go to bed.
Thanks for the replies!!

Someone probably pulled the OTA on Nov 7. I would rely on the build number. I hope RSD lite starts working for you. You're welcome!

i have the file P3 posted, the md5 is the same as the one you can get from sbf-dev.
OK, well I'm having no luck. I'm now getting the error: (bootloader) Invalid partition name sbl1
I'm not much of an expert on flashboot, so I don't know how to get a list of partitions from the phone, if possible.
I appreciate the verification that I have the right firmware, but it won't flash. Any ideas appreciated.
Duplicate post
See the following xda section: General discussion/Hardware hacking/El Grande Partition Table Reference DTD 10/28/2012. The chart shows sbl1 as secondary boot loader. I wish I had more expertise to resolve your issue. Here's hoping that someone has more info.
Sent from my RAZR Maxx HD
In any case, it looks very much like I ought to have an sbl1. I found a thread in Spanish that I Google Translated™, and it's possible that it says the battery may not be charged enough to flash. In any case, the same "no sbl1" error was mentioned in the same thread as some battery discussion or another, lol.
The thing is, I don't know if my phone's battery is charging or not. But it's plugged in and I'll try in the morning.
I hope it works tomorrow.

Well, no luck. It appears I'd have to re-partition the phone to flash anything to it. I can't believe this happened on a Verizon OTA. And since my bootloader was unlocked, I have no warranty.
Very frustrated.

I'm in the EXACT same situation.
Droid Razr HD Utility says "Unknown partition name system".
RSD Lite fails on step 1.
My bootloader was unlocked, but it says LOCKED in fastboot now.
It's stuck in fastboot, and I'm not able to enter recovery or anything...what to do?

Not fun for you. Crossing my fingers that you get your Dev Edition back in shape. Nexus 5 does sound great, though, if it comes to that.

I don't think you can without an unlocked boot loader! I remember reading somewhere that the "hab check failed" thing pops up... But with a unlocked boot loader u can ROCK the firmwares of the Moto X on Maxx... I am using Eclipse ROM on my Maxx DE... I have KitKat and white icons! And love it... No short term effects as yet and hoping there won't be any long term affects...

[Q] Failed unlocking bootloader

hey guys
i tried to unlock bootloader via motorola web site but it says my device does not qualify for unlocking
tried flashing recoveries, root zips and updated to official kitkat, but still does not work
phoned motorola support and they said motorola doesn't guarantee bootloaded getting unlocked, it depends on luck
any suggestion?
Moto XT1033 Dual 16gb BR
I had this problem too, but I checked all individuals characters of my code and deleted some spaces between them... After that check up everything worked like a charm !

[Q] Rooting Moto G without a computer.

I really want to root my Moto G but I don't own a computer and can't get access to one! Can it be done without a computer? Can somebody explain to me how to do it? Thanks.

Need some help guys, been a while since I've done this.

Bit of background...I've had Android phones since the OG Droid. All of them were rooted. The phone I have now is the Razr HD which I've never rooted. Guess I just got out of the game for a while. I want to root it now but unfortunately, it's been so long since I've been around the forums that I don't really know what anything is anymore or what does what.
I'm sure this has been asked before but every search I do, I come up with stuff that I don't understand. Can someone help out?
Phone is running 4.4.2
System version: 183.46.15.XT926
Thanks!
If your boot loader is locked, you can't do anything.

Abstract: you wanna root your Motorola Razr HD (xt925) ?
You can't go anymore with the "gentle procedure" - which is using Motochopper, a way to root the 4.1.2 without tearing apart your phone.
So either you go back with a stock 4.1.2 and live happily with motochopper and a slow sys, or you follow Motorola instructions to unlock the phone. Be aware that once you enter the code Motorola will provide you'll void your warranty (if you still are under the grace period).

You need to stop putting bad info out there, this unlock only works on the 925. The system version he shows is FW for the 926. You can't unlock the 926 via Moto.

Isn't the Razr HD the xt925?
Or am I getting confused with all those names?
Edit: ah yeah, sorry, I've read only "RAZR HD", and I din't pay attention to sysver. My bad.

The 925 is the GSM variant and is unlockable through Moto. The 926 is the CDMA model that is typically used on Verizon and it's not unlockable through Moto.

Hi, RikRong. I'm also new to this XT926 and on the latest firmware I guess (183.46.15.xt926), is there's any new way to unlock bootloader and root this device? I read an old instruction in another post and just bought this device and now I'm so screwed over .
